    Kind of off the subject but I noticed when you had the wheel off the axle, it looked like there was a washer on both sides of the bushing on the axle; one against the transmission and one that would be against the wheel. Is that right. I'm working on a K46 transmission now and forgot to make a not of it. AND unfortunately, John Deere doesn't show that on their parts diagram and neither does Tuff Torq. ALSO......ENJOYED THE VIDEO AS ALWAYS, YOU DO A GREAT JOB OF EXPLAINING THINGS!!! Oh yeah, and on my transmission there was only one washer. Thanks Again

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Před 10 měsíci +2

      Washers are factory and correct for the Spicer 4360-212 transmission that is on this machine. If you a K46, that is a totally different transmission. From the shaft lengths and yours is a auto hydro driven and the Spicer is grease packed all gear manual shift driven. Im sure your set up will be different as you have found it to be. Thanks for watching!

    Hi Brad, another great one. Where can I get one of those hooked pullers you used to pop the dust cap on the wheel? That would be great to help with various springs. Best Wishes.

    Thanks for posting this video. I have a question, above this assembly (but part of it) what is that horizontal spring that goes around the rod that actuates the assembly and has a nut on the right end of it? Just wondering because it looks like it can be adjusted and I'm curious as what it's for, thanks!

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Před 10 měsíci

      12 foot long all stainless steel deli counter. Not sure what the thickness is but it has been a great bench, bought over 25 years ago from a customer that owned a deli.

    I changed the belt on my la 105 and now i have 0 brakes, my belt was slap wore out. I didnt bother the brakes at all. Going to install new pads and try that just to see....wjat else could i do/try ?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Před 10 dny

      Not sure what to tell you. I have never come across, installing a transmission drive belt and now no brakes?? Did you install the correct John Deere transmission belt? Though, replacing the drive belt should not effect the brakes.

    • @jonathanhankins790
      @jonathanhankins790 Před 10 dny +1

      @@JohnsonsSmallEngines yea, but i got a inch smaller one by accident, but it fit fine. Call for a 91.9, but i grabbed a 90, pulls just the same. My older belt was shot, and really wore. So reckon its just pulling and my brakes was alreasy getting wore and now it just wont stop at wall ? I got pads/new pulleys coming in today im going to try to install tomorrow

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Před 10 dny

      I will assume the shorter belt is not allowing you to put the clutch/brake in properly so the brakes are not working. Get the correct belt and your brakes will be back to normal.

    • @jonathanhankins790
      @jonathanhankins790 Před 10 dny

      @@JohnsonsSmallEngines ya but just one inch ? I had a 92 inch belt and it wouldnt even stay on the pulleys. To big.

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Před 10 dny

      If you use the OEM “ original equipment manufacturer” belt you would not have this issue. That is the problem with trying to find the correct size or cross referencing the OEM number. Sometimes they just don’t fit correctly.

    After changing the transmission belt my brake petal is not releasing all the way. Do I need to adjust the brakes like in this video or is there another reason why the brake would not fully release?

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Před 6 měsíci

      Impossible to diagnose without seeing the machine but a guess, Sounds like the new belt is to short, not allowing the pedal to release all the way which is putting pressure on the brakes.

    • @greghardin5236
      @greghardin5236 Před 6 měsíci

      The belt is OEM and I double checked the length before putting it on. The petal has to be almost fully pressed down before the brakes work and when I release the petal it does not spring back fully. I can take my foot and pull it back and it works. Any suggestions? Thanks for all the videos! I watched the belt replacement video many times before tearing into it!

    • @JohnsonsSmallEngines
      @JohnsonsSmallEngines  Před 6 měsíci

      What machine do you have? Make and model? It sounds like transmission belt tension spring is not working properly to return the pedal back the correct position? Something is binding? If you had brakes before you started the project then it is human error. You may need to adjust brakes but the pedal not returning sounds like a spring issue. Again impossible to diagnose without seeing machine.
