There's so many great looking games on here. The cell shaded games in particular have aged like a fine wine. You're too good at making videos, you're making me want to quit my job so I can try all of these out!!
Haha thank you for the amazing compliment! Cel-shading really did wonders for the generation far more than realized it would back then. Thanks again for checking out the video man!
What an incredible compilation of spooky games to play on everyone's favorite cubed console. Not even R.L. Stine, Stephen King, or Edgar Allen Poe could come up with such an essential list of suspenseful and horror games to play. My wife loves Buffy and I bet she would enjoy the games too. Casper the friendly ghost? More like Casper, I am death incarnate! I have Dr. Muto on the Xbox and I'm very much looking forward to playing it. I remember ads for it in magazines. I had a demo of Hunter the Reckoning and thought it was AWESOME! I think I have the PS2 copy. I've heard great things about BloodRayne, I need to get into that series. I'm still jealous of the limited run one that you have. I like your description of Rampage as "eating people" easy there Jeffrey Dahmer. As we discussed, Rampage should make a comeback! What a stupendous video to get all of us set and ready for Halloween!
Haha beyond humbled by the awesome compliment, TC! If your wife likes Buffy, she will most certainly like this game. Lol about Casper! Dr. Muto is definitely a unique platformer, and would like to hear your thoughts when you get around to it. Hunter the Reckoning is a great time, and more so if you can co-op with some friends (or your wife as well). Rampage is pretty decent, but World Tour is still the best one. Thanks for checking out the video man! Glad you enjoyed it!
Man so many BANGERS here including games I have many fond memories of! I started Monster House and love it so far!
Thanks man! Glad you enjoyed it, and that you’re enjoying Monster House so far too!
That music at the start of Monster house when you boot up the game game in the main menu is pretty creepy for a kids game. Lol.
Never knew they made a Billy & Mandy game. Loved the show as a kid.
Nice! Yeah I never saw the show, but glad to hear you’re a fan of it, and found it valuable that there’s a game for it! 👍
Knew about the game for a long time but for some reason, I never got around to playing it.
Another great video by one of my favorite CZcamsrs! Was on the fence about getting monster house and haunted mansion but now gotta pick ‘em up!
Thank you for the awesome complement! Both of those games really surprised me! 👍 Glad you enjoyed the video man!
Kinda weird to see Casper breaking a window instead of just passing through
Lmao!! Facts spoken here. Thanks for checking out the video!
In Monster House, Thou Art Dead was an actual arcade game in the movie. So the developers essentially made an old school arcade game along with the adaptation of the movie itself.
Awesome selection of games here man :)
Thank you man! Greatly appreciate you checking out the video!
That's quite the list of games, some I've never heard of! I'd definitely be interested to try a couple like that Godzilla title. Great video buddy!
That Godzilla game is really cool! Glad you came across some titles you hadn’t heard of, and that you enjoyed the video!
Whoever owns the Gauntlet brand needs to bring it back because it's been far too long since we last had a game in the series!
Agreed! I miss the days of Midway being around honestly…
The Buffy Game is pretty great I got it for my wife who loves the series but I ended up playing it more myself
That’s a win-win scenario there lol. It is a really cool game from the time I put into it so far! Thanks for checking out the video!
Good job on this one 🎉
Thank you man! Glad you enjoyed it!
Very underrated GameCube related content creator 💪🏽
Thank you man! Truly appreciate that awesome compliment! 👍
The fact that there was a game developer actually named A2M is so funny
Lol indeed! Thanks for checking out the video!
Thank you for bringing up Dragon’s Lair 3D. I felt like I was the only person who knew of that game. I’ve heard about Monster House multiple times and haven’t sought it out yet. Might just be that time. I was going to point out the obvious Scooby-Doo titles, especially Unmasked as it is easily my favorite. Also, Blood Omen 2.
Glad to hear someone else who played it! Dragon's Lair 3D definitely doesn't get talked about, and one I was excited to check out for this episode in particular. Monster House really surprised me to how quality of a game it is! The Scooby-Doo games are ones I need to check out and cover on the channel at some point, and Blood Omen 2 is one I want to check out too (possible review around Halloween time?). Thanks for checking out the video man!
Sir, your channel is awesome and deserves more views.
today i discovered your channel and already consider me a fan.
Wow, thank you for the awesome compliment! I truly appreciate it, and glad you came across the channel! Hope you continue to enjoy the content, both previous and future episodes!
GameCube Hunted Mansion is Just like Luigi's Mansion,But it Nuts And Scary as Hell!!!!!
Oh man, Newgrounds is still peak internet to me. Love the look at all of these games as most I missed during that era.
Oh man, I totally forgot I have Hunter: The Reckoning that I've wanted to play with friends one day. I'd love a remaster with online coop of this game & it's sequel.
Newgrounds is AMAZING! I highly recommend playing Hunter: The Reckoning in co-op. It’s already a fun time solo, that can only be better co-op. Would be cool to see a remaster for it! Thanks for checking out the video man!
3:09 - Glad I’m not the only freakin one. Just another reason why I wish I could reexperience the 2000s again. Or at least wish people had the mindsets of that decade again.
Haha glad to hear it! Yeah, I felt I needed to mention that. The 2000s was prime for humor, and not caring about “offending” people lol. Good times 👍. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Man I love these kind of videos GCG, Dragon's Lair 3d, Alien Hominid, Haunted Mansion are all on my to get list. Gotta say, that Buffy game got a lot of praise and I may have to check it out because it looks great! I was apprehensive about Casper because I heard it was terrible but you've given me hope. Certainly looks playable!
Thank you man! Glad you have a few more games on your GC wishlist! Buffy is a really cool game for sure! Casper was a solid one, that while nothing great, was a fun time. Thanks for checking out the video man!
I actually have your latest video set to watch first thing in the morning. 👍
Buffy the Vampire 🦇 Slayer is like a Demon Hunter on Game Cube 🎮
Your videos are always a welcome sight on my notifications. They never disappoint, another batch of games to download and play that I never knew about. Keep up the good work my doooood.
Thank you man! That’s an amazing compliment! Hope you enjoy some of the games listed in this episode, and thank you again for checking it out!
From 1998 when i was in 6rh grade till 2005 the year of my graduation, i played the Haunted Mansion level of Banjo Kazooie annually for Halloween 🎃🐻🐦
That’s an awesome tradition (and an amazing game)!
Rampage World Tour is still my favorite, but this newer entry looked like a nice update from the Saturn and Ps1 version I had played. Buffy seemed pretty fun too. The great thing about your videos is I always find out about titles that I never knew existed from that generation 👏🏽.
Rampage World Tour is still my favorite as well, but this newer one was a decent attempt at bringing the series back! I first played it on the Wii…but yeah, try it on GameCube to save your wrists some pain 🤣. Buffy is also a really cool game, but Eurocom was also such a great developer that made quality games. I’m glad you’ve been learning about more games from this generation that you weren’t aware of! Thanks for checking out the video man!
Awesome Halloween video! I definitely want to try out Monster House now, it looks surprisingly polished. Every year around this time I pop in The Simpsons - Hit and Run, as the final set of levels in that game are designed around the Treehouse of Horror! Easter eggs abound as you play as Homer and can choose from 3 different Halloween outfits - Devil, Hobo or Donut head. It's hands down my favorite aspect of H & R but I don't think a lot of people know about it.
Thank you man! Monster House is definitely a hidden gem for the Halloween season! Oh man, I forgot about those Easter Eggs in Simpsons Hit & Run! Such an awesome game, and something definitely worth pointing out. Another game that did that was Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. If you play that game on Halloween, the turtles will have pumpkin heads, while playing on Christmas gives them Santa hats. Love when developers did this kind of stuff. Thanks for checking out the video, and glad you enjoyed it!
What a great list!! Thank you so much for putting all this together!
Thank you!! Glad you enjoyed the video!
Oh! I assumed Dragons lair 3D was the same formula ported to modern systems so I slept on it. Definitely wanna check it out now! Used to play the hell out of Alien Hominid on new grounds all the time!!! Alien hominid, Skullkid and stick figure death were my jam from new grounds back on the day! Aaah Buffy! Now you’re speaking my language! I haven’t played a Casper game since the PS1. Looks rad! I also assumed the haunted mansion game was one of those movie tie ins! Ug! Another bad move on my end. 🤦🏻♂️ Highly recommend checking out The Grim adventures of Billy and Mandy series! Or atleast The “Big Boogie Adventure” film. Freaking hilarious! Hunter The Reckoning is awesome!!! My wife is a huge fan of bloodrayne. The games and films lol An incredible list of games for the spooky season brother! Thanks for showcasing these for all of us! Stay awesome GCG! 🤘
Haha yeah! Dragon’s Lair 3D many seem to have not realized what it was exactly lol. Glad I could clarify that! Oh man, Newgrounds was AMAZING! Kids nowadays have no idea what they missed back then lol. Buffy is a really good game, and a show I’ve honestly never watched before! I saw the movie way back in the day lol, but need to check out the show one day. I never played Casper on PS1/Saturn, but this one was surprisingly solid! The Haunted Mansion was definitely one I was expecting to be a run-of-the-mill movie-based game…man, was I wrong! I’ll have to check out Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy one day! And that’s awesome your wife is a big Bloodrayne fan! Definitely a great IP! Thanks for checking out the video as always man! Always greatly appreciate it, and glad you enjoyed it!
Also Scooby-Doo! Night of 100 Frights
Nice list! I had no idea that Dragon's Lair 3D was a platformer! I don't normally enjoy that genre but I always liked the old Dragon's Lair arcade (even if I was bad at it) so I will have to check it out! Bloodrayne is a fun franchise and I need to get the remasters on PS4! Haunted Mansion and Monster House looks surprisingly good! Will have to try those out to see if I can manage the controls! Great video and keep up the good work!
Thanks man! Yeah, Dragon’s Lair 3D is such a cool reimagining of the original game! Highly recommend it if you’re a fan. Bloodrayne is definitely a fun time, and I also need to get the remasters soon lol. Haunted Mansion and Monster House were both surprisingly fun! Thanks for checking out the video as always man, and glad you enjoyed it!
I was looking for a video like this!
Glad to hear it! I appreciate you checking out the video!
Monster House is a Game Cube version of the Movie
Monster house was pretty good, reminded me of Grabbed by the Ghoulies for Xbox
Yeah, Monster House really surprised me with how good it was! Grabbed by the Ghoulies is one I haven’t fully played through yet, but plan to one day. Thanks for checking out the video!
Awesome Video!
Thank you man! Glad you enjoyed it!
Godzilla: Destroy All Monsters Melee is my s🤬t. Everyone is seem to be spoiled by Super Smash Bros. Melee or Soul Calibur II. This game is SO underrated. Despite it's small roster of monsters, the replay value is higher than ever. 😎
Many told me I needed to check out Godzilla, and this episode felt like a great way to briefly cover it. I can see why many love this game! Definitely a fun time, and one I’m going to break out for a Game Night soon! Thanks for checking out the video!
Can't wait to play some of these games on a dolphin emulator
Hope you enjoy the games! Thanks for checking out the video!
If this video doesn’t get you in the mood to play some Spooky Classics I don’t know what will! About to play Gauntlet now
Haha thank you man! Gauntlet is great fun for sure! 👍
Dragon's Lair 3D and Alien Hominid are still fantastic games. I played Alien Hominid most on the GBA, it suited the handheld better. I loved the line "fat kids give you bonuses" in the manual, and I loved manuals. What an era that was...
Haunted Mansion seems interesting, I don't think I've heard of it before. Was it released in Europe? Monster House seems much better than I expected from a kids movie tie in... It's funny how in retrospect, many games that absolutely held no interest for me back in the day, now seem to draw me in simply by reminding me of a "better" time - or at least that's what it feels like. When games were more about having a fun time. And a physical release with a manual was the only standard.
Agreed about both Dragon’s Lair 3D and Alien Hominid. I need to check out the GBA version, as I can see that feeling better as a handheld game.
Haunted Mansion did release in Europe, but only on the PS2 and Xbox there. Definitely a fun game though! Monster House was also a nice surprise! I also agree that games I may have never given a look at back then, are now games I far more prefer to check out than games nowadays lol. Thanks for checking out the video man!
Nice picks Marcello!😀
Thank you, Mark! Glad you enjoyed it!
Beware of Halloween Horror on Nintendo Game Cube 🎮 Game's, You're Really be in For a Scare 😱😱😱😱
2 things: 1, always had a soft spot for Dr Muto as it was one of my first GC games, and I love the personality, but it gets rough later, with me never been able to get myself off the second planet due to the monkey swinging (you need to get the top of his arc to get some jumps which is hard to tell where it is from the angle you're allowed) and a spider section that just messes with my head trying to get the gomer into the device to bridge the connection
2) think there was a rampage game for the movie, it was just released only in arcades.
It’s funny, RetroWolf had notified me of the same thing about Dr. Muto getting insanely difficult as you progress in the game. I do plan to review that one, so when I complete it, I’ll have to see how brutal it gets myself lol.
That is true about Rampage getting an arcade game based on the movie. I forgot about that (especially since it never released on consoles). Thanks for checking out the video man!
@@GameCubeGalaxy Can't wait to see the Dr Muto full review. Wish it would be remade or modded with some better controls as it really is a fun little b grade platformer (granted before that I'd love a Psi-ops re-release...)
@@jacklindsey8400 Glad you’re looking forward to that review! I think it’s one I will do next year, as I’m thinking on doing more reviews for 2023 on the channel. Psi-Ops is one I heard was great!
@@GameCubeGalaxy Oh it's a fun as hell 3rd person shooter with psychic powers, Don't recall if it's on the gamecube though so it might be out of your ballywick
@@jacklindsey8400 I’ll have to grab it for the PS2 one day since it never released on the GC. Thanks for the recommendation!
There's also Blood Omen 2
I remember playing goblin commander when I was like 7 on the ps2
HUGE throwback for me here
Nice! I was quite surprised at how good it was from the time I put in so far 👍. Thanks for checking out the video!
My halloween games:
Resident Evil Zero
Resident Evil Remake
Resident Evil 4
Resident Evil 3 Nemesis
Luigi's Mansion
Eternal Darkness
Resident Evil Code Veronica X
Resident Evil 2
Bloodrayne
Excellent games to play during the Halloween season! Thanks for checking out the video!
Godzilla MELEE Game Cube 🎮
Love it
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
Who says you can't play Castlevania on the GameCube? Just pop in Aria of sorrow in the GB Player, grab your favorite controller, Don't forget the boot disc & you're all good to play. :P
Haha very true! Okay, I’ll give you that lol. I still just wish the GameCube received at least 1 installment in the series. I loved Lament of Innocence on PS2, and also enjoyed Curse of Darkness afterwards. Thanks for checking out the video!
@@GameCubeGalaxy I wish we did to. I like those games to but I've always preferred the 2d games over the 3d ones
Godzilla vs Anguirus in #DeathBattle
Alien hominid es muy bueno diría que su jugabilidad es muy parecida a metal slug.
It’s definitely a great game that’s very much like Metal Slug! 👍 Thank you for checking out the video!
Casper is On Game Cube 🎮 dimensions
only one that fits the halloween theme is haunted mansion lol
That may be debatable that The Haunted Mansion is the “only one” that fits the theme, but it definitely is a solid game for the Halloween season! Thanks for checking out the video!
9:01 uhh, don’t you mean danger high voltage software?
That’s correct! I made a mistake on that and caught it later on, but you’re the first to note it, so good catch! Appreciate you checking out the video!
@@GameCubeGalaxy oh no problem ^^
Always willing to led a helping hand I always say
the bare, people who knows 💀
How is alien hominid remotely Halloween?
Ummm dude huge sin for not putting Eternal darkness on here .
I actually mentioned in the video’s outro about Eternal Darkness (as well as a few other games that match this list). Since I did in-depth reviews for these games last Halloween (links in the description), I didn’t want to repeat things I’ve stated in previous videos on the channel. Eternal Darkness is easily one of the best GC games, especially for the Halloween season. That’s a game I had to do a review for to really do it justice. 👍
@@GameCubeGalaxy . Nice to know an yeah glad you didn't take it as being rude, wasn't meaning it like that haha. But il check out your review on it . Cuz eternal darkness is such an underrated gem.
@@jacksoncogburn4816 Oh no worries! I didn’t take it as rude at all! I just wanted to clarify, especially with how essential Eternal Darkness is for the GameCube! Hope you enjoy the review! It definitely needed a very in-depth take on it 👍
Please don't Play The Grim Adventures of BILLY AND MANDY,on Nintendo Game Cube 🎮 It's all Scary and DEATH ☠️💀
rampage games were always fun shame this one sucks
Rampage games were definitely fun times! I don’t hate Total Destruction, but it definitely could’ve been better lol. Thanks for checking out the video man!
What's wrong with the commentary? Got a weird reverb ish effect on it?
I loved that you didn't include re it would have been a cop out
Thanks man! I felt the RE series of games were too obvious to add, and wanted to highlight lesser discussed games that deserve some time. 👍
Amazing video galaxy! I grew up with dragonslair 3d and love it a lot for what it is for look and feel. I’m surprised you never put spirits and spells on this list
Thank you man! Dragon’s Lair 3D is a really cool game! Spirits & Spells I actually mentioned in the video’s outro that I reviewed last October, and have a link to my review for it in the description. Definitely recommend checking out my review for it if you haven’t yet! Hope this clarifies why it wasn’t covered more in-depth in this episode! 👍
