I noticed the arrow impact was in the right side but in the hero shot it looked like it was shot in the left side. Did you have to shoot again?

My guess is the arrow snapped off on the right side so he shot another arrow into it for the camera shot. Notice how the arrow has no blood around it all. Probably posthumously shot into the animal…
When you shoot a deer and it drops him it’s always a good idea to shoot them again in the vitals. I know of serval deer that was dropped in their tracks laid there for a good while and then got up and ran off.

As always another great hunt!!! Nothing wrong with slamming those does and that buck you shot was a slammer. I know he was messed up on one side but what a unique trophy! That shot was spot on, he ducked and the arrow drove into the spine. He definitely got the DDT from the top rope! Thanks for great hunts and keeping it real!

Dang, those janky rack bucks are killer! My dad got one 5 years or so ago that had a shovel on one side like a pronghorn with two points coming out of it.

Kip on the hoyt high speed it shows your shooting that buck on his spike side but on the recovery it looked like you shot him from the bucks normal side. did u shoot it twice or did the afflicter broad head just screw him up that bad. congrats
It did look like he knocked another arrow after the shot. just didn't show it shoot it again.

How is the back of the arrow sticking out the side of the main frame 10? You shot him on the half rack side. I’m so confused right now. Did you have to shoot him again?
That was my thought as well. I had to rewind to double check I wasn't seeing things. I wouldn't doubt that's what he did to put it out of misery. I had to do that last year. Not a proud moment but the right thing to do of course.

Wish bucks like mine could still get credit for his size my bucks one side if he had a match would have scored 160 plus with mass at almost 5.5 inches and his g3 on his 5 side was over 9 inches love my crazy horned bucks plus last time I checked not alot of hunters can say they killed a 9.5 year old my crap video is on my old channel you tube plus I shot a old ten that crashes into my ladder stand and dies hugging my bottom step smartest buck ever because he didn't want me to need to drag him it was crazy plus I'm not a fan of dragging 200lb deer dressed Wisconsin north country public land no one hunts by me for over a square mile so I get deer on cam for years always amazes me that they live as old as they do I have had couple doe that lived for 12 years let me tell you they look bad with big Roman muzzle nose and fat belly and big time sway back I called one . She was my decoy couldn't kill her if you paid me reason she was the old boss doe that would always bring in a 5 to 7 year old reason she was so dam big she would make 2 year old bucks like like small deer I had couple friend s hunt by them they all said they couldn't beleave how big the doe where by me well that's called age . I was a killing machine before the predator infested my area became killing off alot of deer so deer by me act a little different they move more at light mid day but they walk only two steps at a time on pins and needles like a high pressure big public land buck always checking out every sound they dont like but still very killable but need to be on your game one wrong move or sound they are gone . For good reason they walk the line of death every step with wolf's coyotes Bobcats bears cabin shooters and one hunter me . Great show wish I had better video but when I was videoing my hunts its was just me so not that good but I did it for me on you tube my stuff was not down loaded from the original so they such but I have the tapes for anyone to watch even a 17 year old bear well almost 18 if you do it correct the bear was 17 years and 9 months old a wild bear life is around 18 so one more animal saved from a slow death seeing my bears teeth where down to gum line

My biggest buck was broke on one side had 5 and a half inch base been hit by a car i was hunting off a main interstate, deer was going down hill at least 8 yr old, huge body high 260 270s old ky mnt buck and like kip it was cold and ol slick head come out the thicket and i about pulled the trigger and he came under my s t and out of no were and i shot him straight down with my muzzle loader in November, was to poor to own a rifle or bow, used what i had, one of my better hunts, but i pass 130s now, just a tip kip, lol good job either way bub, i live in ky and its ruff but i eat more tags than meat
