    I know it's repetitive for you but you've taught us so well, I was looking at the dyno graph the whole time thinking the exhaust feels small.

    Setting idle at throttle stop mechanically should be the first thing that is addressed before trying to tune. I’ve heard you say this so many times yet we seem to see this on virtually every car you get in to the shop. After you made that change it ran MINT! Love the EF sedan- really clean old girl!

    I used to own this car, I made the gauge pod for the afr and boost. I also made all the intercooler brackets and stuff. Can’t believe you got it to idle right, was pulling my hair out.

    IAC is for Idle swing speed, not idle RPM target. I use the decrease in IAC Duty Cycle to stop a hunting idle, or if the idle doesn't recover back up fast enough, you can increase it to be more reactive. Fun car.

      @ivtec4fun55 Před rokem +3

      Cool advise on adding timing below the idle RPM target to stabilize, I might have to give that whirl.

    Great vid! Lots of info! Been watching a year now, went through most of yours uploads, but it was great having such detailed info on idle settings.
    My turboed b16 has that dip when comming off of the gas pedal.
    If by any chance you reed this, what did you set the idle at in Hondata?
    I know the aicv is turned way down, but do I need to set the physical numbers into Hondata, or just adjust the rpm manually and input the desired rpm in that "box" in Hondata afterwards?
    Thanks a billion for all the info other tuners won't give!!

    I wish Hondata made a chip for the 00 civic with the OBD2B ECU! I’d love to be able to tune it after I turbo the thing lol. Well without having to try and piggy back it with an OBD1 VTEC ECU.

    • @HunterTuned

    Hello from Sweden. How come you dont use the internal weather sensor in the yourdyno ecu ?

    • @HunterTuned
      @HunterTuned  Před rokem +1

      I do sometimes. When I’m tuning though it helps to keep the temps same to do repeatable runs. When I have my shop door open in the winter time the temp the dyno computer see’s can varry quite a bit when shop temp is 70 and outside is 20. So same run temp change can affect power and I won’t know if it’s the car or the dyno changing. Hope that makes sense

    • @SMRRacing1
      @SMRRacing1 Před rokem

      @@HunterTuned okey that make sens. I also run a hub dyno with your dyno ecu and power supply. And i know What you mean with the temps fluctation. I bought a weather station external so i did get a better reading but the problem with winter and summer open and closed door still remains yes
