#Roland #Fantom #Synthesizer - Hudba
Just amazing how you work on this synths you play. You make it seems so easy to do. Congrats, Doc. I love your videos and the way you talk with us.
Your jazzy abilities are quite impressive. Kalimba version of "The final countdown" - just made My day :D
One of the best product presentations I've seeing.
Man, the piano sounds on this beauty are amazing. Roland never fails to disappoint. This has come a long long way since my JX3P.
This is one of the best videos you ever did. Explanatory, enthusiastic and all in all fantastic. I want one :-)
Good to see you having so much fun with the instrument. Musicians must enjoy what they do so they can inspire others. I'll definitely purchase one of these.
Man, I learn a lot with you. My favorite producer (and piano player also). I have fresh new sounds to show you!!!
The 11:57 melody touched my heart from a way.... Amazing. Simply, amazing.
Got mine about a 100 days ago. Love it...and....I love me some Dr. Mix!
Superb review Claudio, I'm seriously thinking of getting one of these now!
Thank you great Doctor! I just got my Fantom and now I am full of inspiration!🎹🎶🎧👍🌟
Haha the beatbox sampling moment was really funny! Grande Claudio!
If I didnt just buy two Roland's, I would get this now. The most impressive piece of gear there is to me.
19:00 Hold on ! I wasn't prepared for a vibraphone final countdown... Yet another thing I didn't know I needed.
These little things u know, they are the reason why i love you^^
Dude you are the best at explaining shit! I love the door bell ! A good friend of mine had that in his house back in 96. Awesome video
Doc mix always cheers me up and makes me smile 😊 the Fantom is a beautiful instrument. Some of the best piano's I've heard from Roland in many years. Great work and energy claudio, you made me litterally laugh out loud on the final countdown on marimba 🤣👍
Oh, THAT sampling!!))) Maybe the most funny part for almost any electronic musician/producer ))) "Final countdown" with marimba sound is just a coolest thing I heard this week))
You simply are impressive at what you do. Congralutations Doctor :D
It's always a pleasure to watch your videos ! :)
You are amazing. The best demos and de best mood.
I've been watching your videos for almost 2 years, but this is the first time I was listening to the music you play.
And I really enjoy it. Congrats.
Your demo is the best!!! Your humour is tremendous :D
I love this thing - the Fantom 8 has one of the best (most realistic) keyboards around.
It is a WORKHORSE for crafting your own sounds too.
Just watching this dude jam makes me want to get into piano again. Not to mention the fantom.
I'm powering through my 3rd Fosters oil can @ 11:40 pm...I have to be up @ 4:45 am tmorrow and am totally diggin this dude.
I don't play keys but grew up with DEVO,Gary Numan,The Cars,Yes and shit!
I LOVE THIS GUY!
Thank you sir for sincerely showing us the music way God bless you.
I’m actually picking the 88 key version of this up this week. The piano sounds on this board or some of the best I’ve ever heard. Actually, probably the best I’ve ever heard. It is so clean with such incredible dynamics. I was looking at the Korg Krono‘s and happen to run across this board without ever really paying any attention before and the more videos I got into I realize that this was the board for me. The sounds, the abilities in creating your own and sequencing… Not to mention, upgradability and the ability to plug other instruments via USB into it and control them or vice versa...Just incredible. You get a lot of functionality for the price. I can’t wait to dig into it. Thank you for the video.
You WON'T be disappointed! That keybed is amazing. The VPiano rocks (it always needs to be stereo to sound the best, imo) - second to none.
@@wiredbassclarinet good to hear. I've been using a custom open Labs board forever. Bought it new back in 2016. But after watching some videos and hearing that piano and on top of that, the ease of use in recording ... which is what I need the most. Something that I can sit down to and quickly get an idea doan. The piano sound alone is worth its weight in gold. I have not found one software piano and I have bought some of the most expensive you can get including the East-West collection and still they don't sound that good. I still have my Alesis Fusion which would have been the best keyboard ever made if they had actually followed through and getting the software up-to-date. Wish they never did, so the SATA connection has never functioned. Though it still has a 8 channel audio input. I'll be excited to finally get this thing home.
Hey, 6 months later, how you liking it still?
@@AlecArmbruster Hey. I ended up sending it back and getting a Korg Kronos 88. The Fantom is a good board if you write R&B or Rap. But if you want to do anything else, I find it’s step sequencer too limiting. I guess if you were going to use a DAW, it would be OK. But then again, if you are using a DAW, you could really buy anything with keys and MIDI. The Korg Kronos is an awesome board for any kind of music and you have the option of a full or step sequencer. Not to mention, some great sounds and Korg releases new sounds, what seems like daily. You can also import sounds, which I do with East/West stuff, which I find is the best sounding instrument library out there. In any case, if you have anymore questions... let me know.
@@MakeLifeExtraordinary thank you for this! i am debating between this and mpc key 61, kronos etc.
How to dislike this vidéo, this Channel, this talented and adorable man ? Impossible... Great experience for me every time. Claudio sei grandissimo !
Impressive demo! You really show off how intuitive this beast is to use. I've had an F7 for 6 months, and it's been a wild ride. Roland has done a phenomenal job on the UI - there are multiple ways to perform a task, and you can usually figure them out without looking at the manual (unlike the months and years I spent learning how to do things on my Kronos). The best part is that Roland seems committed to the Fantom as a platform - they have updated it 4 times since release.
Kronos takes much longer to learn because it can do much more..
Your exactly correct on the Kronos. Just sold mine. Way way waaaaaay to complicated. A extremely steep learning curve. After 1 year of ownership I had enough of the complexity.
Thank you for everything you show on your videos!
The joy you feel and express while testing instruments and playing music just hits me!
You are a true professional and a great guy, with a great sense of humour! 👌
It is wonderful to hear you play caravan again, you have come a long way from showing off your new piano to showing off your new synthesizer! The more things change, the more they stay the same.
I actually just bought one of these recently and I have to say your video was by far the best showing off of the capabilities of the synth Claudio (both parts 1 and 2)! :D
My dream is about to be a reality sooner than later!!! I just recently sold my G6 to my uncle a few months ago!!! Can’t wait to buy this beauty!!!
This is the first video I've found that to me how to add my mic. to the Fantom! 👍
Nice. My favorite channel on CZcams. Can you do more demos of the Fantom? I bought one a few day ago. Love it.
That piano/pad combo at the beginning was gorgeous. I was teary.
Awesome fn boom always fun and entertaining as well as full of info
This machines sounds better then the most people say, but you make better demos then others.... ;-)
I agreed
Keyboard is good but this color is Rong
So true
*than
DrinkinSlim lol
Nice present you got from Roland 👍
You're crazy! So damn Hilarious !! Hahahaha the sampling pad the meow and bark all had me in splits !! What's a demo and learning experience without of bit of fun ain't it? I Absolutely loved your presentation. You suddenly made me feel so incomplete not having learnt to play the piano properly mate and I must say you've given me a reason to go back to learning the technical aspects of sound generation !
Respect !
How easy it is, to create nice vocoder sounds..
I guess, Mr. Robovox Florian Schneider would love this ...
R.I.P. Florian
liking your demo very good keep it up
Thank you very much Claudio for this proper Roland Fantom lesson and my daily needed dose of fun, happiness and knowledge. Best wishes from Düsseldorf.
I LOVE YOUR videos! You crack me up and offer up such incredible information about sythns for the rest of us!
Would love to see a video like this on the Korg Triton. For a 20 year old keyboard it’s still very good and I never tapped into its raw power.
Thanks for showing the Fantom Doctormix !!!! Amazing video !! Can you also show how you can control DAW and external VSTs ?
Claudio making my days better
Lovely stuff as usual, Dr Mix! Got me thinking about buying one of these now...
Funny guy! I like your style and i enjoyed your video, made me laugh big time.. thanks for the tips and tricks and i'll try-out on my Fantom soon. Have a nice joyfull time.
Doctor Mix's huge talent means hard working, knowledge but most important: passion! Thank you Doc for another amazing show!
... oh, ok, there is a part 25:01-27:20 that contradicts me... or not 😁🎹
Proper job Claudio
Thanks for the superchat!
Fantom series are beasts since the first one the Fantom FA 76 in 2000 !!!
Vocoder mode... catchphrase: Autobots, roll out!.. 😂. Very cool👍🏼
MAN..... that piano - Max is a genius!
Hahaha! The beatbox sampler with cat and dog sounds was my favourite part! I was still giggling hours later just remembering that part! 😂😂😂 - just awesome videos Claudio! Keep them coming and wow the Phantom is like a tardis box of tricks! 👏🏼👏🏼👍🏻👍🏻
What a fantastic machine
Glad I saw your podcast, please explain how you record with the microphone as a lot of people don't know how to get the mic line input to route to the recording software. Want to record vocals and backup vocals alone. Please help
i like the demo very much, thats excellent and imoressive!
Only Claudio would finish a Fantom demo with a stellar performance of "Caravan"
nice demo!
I love the SuperNatural piano on my FP-30 so much that I am enjoying it more than my Ivory II American Concerd D (vst). The Fantom of course has more than just the SuperNatural.
Thank you for this. You helped me decide where to spend my money.
Awesome, at 21:36 Oops by Steps Ahead on the Modern Times album ... Mike Mainieri on vibes!
Hey Claudio: Would you do a tutorial or a series producing a track by only using Fantom please ? That would be awesome since all tutorials in youtube are quite fragmented and nobody seemed to walk that extra mile- Many thanks in advance !
Doctor Mix ti amiamo e invidiamo tanto ❤️
Love the Pat Metheny Group reference
Such and awesome workstation synth.
what a pleasure while playing . . .
I'm a huge fan of yours man, you do the very best reviews and I love how you enjoy creating music, everyone focuses on pianos and keyboards and even dissassembly them but they never get to enjoy it, and boy this sounds you making the Roland do are impressive!!!!! Subbed and Notifications on!!! Ty for your created content!
Aww thanks man!! I really appreciate it ❤️
What using the Moogerfooger Ring-Thing with the output of the Synthesizer, those strange sounds where on the track Chase Runner on the album Electric Dreams.
@Doctor Mix: first of all thx for your great videos. I'm totally blown away by the Piano sound of the Fantom. especially combined with the Filter on 13:47 . Could you pls do a Full re-build Video on "The Way it is" with the exact same Sound you used in this Video.
This part sounds amazing!! 👍🏻
Did you try the Virtual Tone Wheel Organ? You can access via Zone 2. On said zone select the organs menu and you'll have them, they sound great imo
Does anyone else watching this agree that because of covid-19 and no Glastonbury, artists could host a huge online festival with acts like doctor mix on the list where you can enter genre rooms when an artist is live in it and listeners can party and donate
Awesome idea
Yes. Absolutely
Things like that have been going on over the past few months with artists in the goth scene doing Twitch.tv, CZcams and Facebook based streams, and separate events with Witch House DJs. One trouble is getting bands to perform when they can't be physically together - lag can make it impossible to play properly in sync. Solo artists, DJs & producers though, no problem.
Virtual Tomorrow land I heard today they will organize in Belgium
Anyone could essentially be on the music bill including recreational bedroom DJs and synthesists and preform at their convenience (green light shows when performers are online) and it could go on for the rest of the year maybe! In the lobby people could chat and donate or buy merchandise and leave when they want to go in a different genre lobby. Just an idea. Now just need to think of a name for it like digifest or something.
Man, awesome!
Thanks for all!
But I have a question! For performances!
Nautilus x Fantom?
what a pad and the piano , its too good
Mate your makin me want one of these. I only got a VR09
I'm late to the comments, but Fantom 8 is on order, inspired by you, Dr. Mix!!! I am so excited!!
that was pat metheny's 'minuano' from still life talking album ...it took me a couple of seconds to recognize it..
The song you talking about at 17:38 is from Pat Metheny and Lyle Mays, Minuano (six eight)
Hi Claudio, at these times I considerate buying some sequencer recorder, can you make some video about loopers and recorders? I have Korg SQ-1, very funny thing for that price. But I need some thing able record and play 8 track simultaneously. I have seen tascam, can you help me choose some thing reasonable? Many thanks and keep doing great work. I like so much your videos!
My MODX 6 doesn't have this but I can do this with my logic pro. lol. I like the way you having good time with that Roland. You can sell snow to Canadians.
man, how much you are having fun, im jealous :))) toy for bday boy
That Roland Fantom is awesome . You should demonstrate how to download different ethnic packs via usb and for godsakes , play a full one man band song with accompaniment. Like your videos however , it's a good nature to be excited and happy as you are.
So been waiting for this one!!!
It makes so much fun watching you enjoying sampling the drum sounds with cats & dogs ;-)
Hi Claudio!
I'm a great Dr. Mix fan...
I'd Just like to say that you meant LET'S GROOVE instead of After Love's Gone as you said at the beggining of the vídeo...
Anyway I'd like to congrat you for Your New studio purchase...
You deserve It!
God bless you!
I want this guy's job.
Well Claudio, if you ever need a job as a Roland demonstrator, I reckon it could be yours... You sold it to me better than they did. I want one now, having had some concerns.. It does everything!
This was SO FUNNY!!! thank you for making me laugh! What a great musician you are, not to mention a nice guy!
You're such an original, Claudio. Love you man!
the melody at 21:40 is heaven by dj sammi
17:38 3 years late, but that is Pet Metheny Group - Minuano (I've listened this album a lot when I was young :))
Earned a sub. +like! Thank you!
Can you make the reconstruction of True Survivor, the David Haselhof' song? Please. Thank you
You've inspired me
Amazing!
I love that Piano sound! Anyway you could share the tone file with us? I want to play it on my Fantom :D
17:45 I thought you tried to make RainMan theme :)) So ashamed cause I like Pat Metheny & Lyle May group.
Could you make a cover for MusicForEighteenMusicians-SteveReich ? Could be an interesting work about rythms and everything.
The piano pad just before I am unsure is it a Jean-Jacques Goldman intro ? Anyway you should listen to his 1986 live 'En public', quite well orchestrated, with great pads ;)
An other cover I would love is the final Shine on you crazy diamond, many people do the first parts but not the final 6-9, I wish you would make 8 and 9 with precise notes and sounds of the ending, many retro machines, MiniMoog, ARP String Ensemble, etc... (If there must be a requiem on your channel..a good one)
This guy is so genius, that is able to become a Roland Fantom in a Workstation for beginers. ;)
Lauri Anderson’s O Superman comes to mind
I am doing my follow up album all using Fantom, Learn tons with videos
