this was REALLY interesting, and a surprising use of modern animation. 10/10.
My fav style of animation. High quality, & smooth, but also minimalistic. Reminds me of Animatrix.
Renaissance (2006) or Titan AE are also good picks and similar

visuals and sound are intriguing right away. makes me want to watch blade runner animation series. thank you. french things are pure soul.

@@Kpoping727official kinda feels like GitS, but with Asimov's Laws of Robotics tacked on. Also.... doesn't seem to have cybernetic Humans like GitS. 'cause Motoko could do some ridiculous stuff with her cybernetics.
It feels like elements of Blade runner, but the story arc probably closer to I Robot, although a lot better. It also looks like a grounded Metallic Rouge as well, with many similar plot arcs.

Look up Metal Hurlant. French Sci-fi is quite inspirational in that genre.

Saw this with original French subtitles. It gave me vibes of "Ghost in the Shell" and "Blade Runner" if directed by Luc Besson, but with a much tighter plot and less introspection. A good watch, and a nice change of pace from my usual fare.
When is it going to be released?
It drops in theaters in the U.S. today! (May 3, 2024) But it is going to be a very limited release so your city may not have it.

I saw this on an AMC theater. beautiful made. also pre-ordered the blu-ray. im saying this right now the French have made some great film. but they should make more anime films.

Looks like an awesom blend of Blade Runner, I Robot and Akira, in an modernised style of classic Animes. Can't wait to see it!
the cool thing is that the French were very influential to Anime. The cyberpunk cityscapes in loads of Anime are very reminiscent of the works of Moebius.

Not a fan of the animation. Nothing beats old 90s anime quality. The characters seem flat but the Story could be awesome though. Definitely check it out.
Same, characters look bland & no shading contrast, just basic line work.
@@DB742 Agreed. not sure how people are comparing this to old animes like akira for the style. Not even remotely close. 90s and 80s anime destroy modernized. Probably done on a pc in a program and if not its just lazy.
@@tysonellsworth3688Totally, this sucks total ass compared to 40 yrs ago. 1st Ghost in the Shell movie is also superior, which got tons of awards overseas. They can still do anime well w/ 3d it's just a lazy ass cash grab to not put effort into the presentation. Anime hallmark was once its verisimilitude rather than looking like sh*t. Anime studios have gotten too into pumping by the numbers quantity over art.
