I totally agree with what you said but wanted to add that they should understand the consequences and take what comes from it. When you say things like Colby does he takes it out of the realm of hyping up/building a fight and makes it personal. So he should be ready to deal with it on a personal level outside of the octagon if need be. It comes with the territory.

Fightmatrix uses algorithms to gauge fighters rank among all organizations. he's #18 in the world right now. He's either that high because of fighting primarily low ranked opp, or he's that low because he hasn't beaten anyone in the UFC yet.
In either case, considering WB is 41 now but doesn't have power. I'd imagine MVP could fight around that long minimum.

Its mad how its taken this long for him to sign with the UFC, He’s in his mid 30’s now so past his prime unfortunately.
I mean even tho the ufc is the biggest platform it doesn't reflect in its pay, especially in the early phases, most will still get payed better as top guys in smaller promotions. Plus I believe it's a ufc strategy too, they're gonna be less willing to sign top guys from competitor promotions as it would make the ufc look bad if a top guy from the other big orgs would possibly become champ in the ufc. It's bad for the monopoly they are running, and thats why they will also never co promote.
Micheal Chandler joined when he was 34-35 years old iirc, you never know MVP might surprise us.
I do agree though it does seem a little late at this point. Makes sense to take the Holland fight it’s all or nothing.

They should have made Page vs Thompson. The matchup against Holland sounds like fun but might end up being a nightmare for Holland. Trash talk makes it much better. All fighters should start doing it and there shouldn't be any limitations at all. Rankings and winning streaks doesn't mean anything anymore, so the fighters should just wake up...

Thompson didn't want those fights. He was offered Ian garry because Dana thought that would be a fun kickboxing fight and he turned it down because he only wanted to fight someone ranked above him because he wanted one last title run, well wonderboy was 7th and shavkat was 6th so they said if u don't want the entertaining fights your getting the hardest fight possible, and look what happened. Shavkat rn1 sub. The moment I heard wonderboy turned down Ian because he wanted someone higher ranked I knew the ufc would feed him to the dogs with shavkat.

Funny the uproar re Colby (for the record i am a leon fan and despise colby before his vile comment and his "act") but conor has said just as worse previously and always crossed the line yet guys like ariel and many fighters (some who used to share the same management) and even the media lapped it up and credited conor for his mental warfare.
