      @David Villalba I carry an all steel CZ clone with a 4.5 inch barrel and it has never bugged me. I personally would rather have a gun with greater accuracy and less recoil in case I need it than having something more compact. Having to carry 2.5 pounds of extra weight is worth it to me, but to each his own.

      Mine had some pretty hefty wear on it to. Also no a big fan of the required 2nd day shipping on pistols by classic. Added an extra $40 the the cost of the gun that I would rather not have had to pay for. Especially when most gun stores in my state charge $50 for a transfer fee and now have a 10 day waiting period. Awesome gun though.

      The 941R is the model that I have! It was the gun my father gave me when I turned 21 and I've been conceal carrying it since. It's bigger than most guns people tend to carry, but I'm a big guy (6'5"). I do prefer the newer ones though. On the 941R, the safety on the slide barely gave you any place to rack the slide. You barely have any grooves to grab the slide with the safety in the way. It is annoying now but that's what I was used to until I tried shooting other guns. If you're not careful, it's very easy to flip the safety on while you're racking the slide. The newer ones with the frame safety should be the one most people buy if you want a Jericho 941. The newer Jerichos from IWI even have an accessory rail.

    • @RedEyePergo
      @RedEyePergo Před 4 lety

      Awesome your Dad hooked you up with an awesome first gun ! Yeah I actually like the slide decocker . I just sling shot the slide using it . The F versionnis nice but you have to carry it like a 1911 cocked and locked. I prefer to carry hammer down in double action . Not a fan of safeties . If someone attacks you and you need to draw and shoot you might forget to disengage it under stress. But I guess training can ovwrcome that . Also the slide decocker looks cool and the slide stop on the R is more sleek looking than the F

    • @JacksonWalter735
      @JacksonWalter735 Před 4 lety +1

      @@RedEyePergo It was either his old Jericho or a Beretta Cheetah that shot 380 after my father started getting into revolvers or the newer polymer guns. I'm a bigger guy than my little brother so my father gave me his Jericho instead. I don't mind the safety on the slide at all and from an aesthetic standpoint, I think it looks nice. I just wished on my Jericho there were more slide serrations to grab onto when I rack the slide or check to see if there's a round in the chamber. Having 3 slide serrations next to the safety is usable, but not ideal. Just having two extra serrations would have been perfect.
      I prefer having a decocker over a safety any day. Unless it's a 1911, I'm fine with shooting the first shot in double action. Never had to fire a gun before for self defense and it's not that difficult to shoot in double action anyways. Most of the pistols that allows DA trigger pulls tend to be lighter than most revolvers I've handled anyways.
      It's nice to know that there's someone else out there that carries a Jericho as their EDC. Cheers!

    • @SteveAaron
      @SteveAaron Před rokem

      @@ZMOA2006 It has absolutely no purpose besides cosmetics. Being a single-action only pistol, the trigger sits further back towards the frame than its double-action counterpart. This fills the larger gap in the front to make it look more centered and symmetrical. It's a much cheaper solution that to have to manufacture 2 different frames, one with with a shorter trigger guard.

    The full rail is what makes CZ (types) so wonderful to shoot.
    Without mention the slide riding inside instead of on top giving it that signature low bore access.
    Shot one CZ and it’s set up is like the rest and they are very smooth runners.

I shot it and it tight grouped to the left. I have centered the front sight. The recoil spring was worn and had pistol had excessive muzzle flip. I love this pistol and would have no problems carrying it. This pistol is a keeper and I invested in a new recoil spring from DPM (Advanced Recoil Spring) .

    The F in 941F is in reference to the “F”rame mounted safety. You could get the 941F in SA only or DA/SA. For instance, I have a surplus 941F in DA/SA, blued that I did a video of on my channel. Oh and any discussion of a 941, should mention tangfolio, since this gun is more of a copy of Tanfoglio’s take on the cz75, than of the actual cz75. Tanfoglio made improvements of the cz75 design to the trigger and safety. Also, about the only CZ “parts” that will interchange with this are the magazines, maybe sights, look for tanfoglio parts interchangeability for the internals.

    That is a pistol I actually haven't owned....yet. I like the look of those, with the angled muzzle w/o a rail. I just think it is a nice look, obviously not good if you want a light. That definitely borrows from the CZ75 style pistols, just like many other manufacturers have done. I picked up a Tanfoglio Witness P Match in 10mm just about an hour ago. It feels and looks pretty much like a CZ75 pistol w/full length dust cover. Yet another great video brother, and I'll have to go check these out at CF! Have a great week my friend!

    • @neutronalchemist3241

    Exellant pistol - very accurate and reliable, very easy to shoot fast and accurate. Just pay attention to original magazines - the mag springs wears easely, but if you load 15 rounds or less in the mag, it hold up well. The main drawback of this gun as a duty weapons - its too heave to carry all day about 1 kilo 300 gram - about 43 ounces - loaded + spare mags + all the staff that a cop carry on his belt , so I replaced it by Browning Hi Power and now itיs replaced by Glock 19. But if you buy it as the range gun - itיs hard to find something better for this price.

    Just a note for anyone who owns one, this isn't a CZ: It's a Tanfoglio Witness. If you want magazines that lock open or need trigger parts, you need Tanfoglio parts. That's why the triggers are so nice and crisp and feel more alive than a CZ-75. The new models use their own parts, I don't like it, it ain't the same.

    This is the Phillipines police version the Isreali military used the 941R with a slide decocker instead of a frame safety hence the F in 941F. Also the F is a little beefier in the slide . My 941 R is significanly skinnier than my F finish is a bit nicer yoo but both are excellent CZ clones

    Mine looks bad, really bad, but shoots fine after a recoil spring change and the correct guide rod. The one that came with it was for a compact gun. I have another DA/SA Jericho in pretty much NIB condition, along with a couple of Mossad Tanfo clones, a Combat Cohai Tanfo clone, a Sar 2000, and a MP3'ed CZ 75 Pre B. Obviously, I like CZ's, and I'm a sucker for matte chrome/SS.

Back the IMI 941 9mm surplus.. super smooth action, CZ and EAA witness mags work great. PS. the EAA, CZ and IMI magazines have metal base plate. so if you bash somebody in the face your magazine does not break... just saying, There are also mag release trips that have a drop down curve to make 'reach' closer to your thumb (LEFT AND RIGHT) are available.

    I have the stainless IWI Desert Eagle "Baby Eagle" in .45 acp. Looks just like this one. Great range gun / home defense firearm. I have carried it concealed, but it's big & heavy. Mine has the safety system, works just like a Beretta 92 fs safety system with decocker & can be racked with the safety on,... in my opinion thee safest firearm style made. It holds 10+1 of my favorite,....45 acp.

    I bought a Jericho 941 PL in 2016. I wanted the chrome steel version with the decocker but couldn't find one anywhere. Still, 941 PL is a fantastic shooter but more lightweight. From what I have heard, it has slightly more recoil but still not noticeable. It set me back $520 with the background check so I see it as a poor man's CZ Shadow.

  • @SuperTango44

    You got a modified model because some police groups in Israel prefer it that way! But its not true that the pistol was designed to be single action only. All of the 941 F’s are double/single action out of the factory.

    If you can get a imi .40 upper for your 941. you can aquire use imi 41 mags (cheap) with 941 frame and use exchange the barrel with 357 sig and 40 barrel. You basically have three guns in one. cool huh. However Spikes IWI (Israeli weapons industry, not Israeli magnum insdustry) was a commanding officers .45 FS; shorter barrel with full length magwell 11 rds. super rare. I have two. Back the IMI 941 surpluss... super smooth action, CZ and EAA witness mags work great.

    I picked up a surplus SA Jericho a few years ago for a good price. Mine's the the semi compact model and doesn't look near as nice as yours, though it runs just fine. It has quite a bit of holster wear, and since I needed to replace the recoil spring, I figure it's been shot more than a couple times. Still, it seems to have a lot of life left in it. I wonder if it has stories to tell.

    Mecgar's CZ 75 mags, both the black follower and blue follower mags fit and function in Jericho. I'd say the Mecgars fit even better than the IWI ones. Oh, and IWI mags work. If you do something dumb like I did, the grip screws and panels from IWI will fit this frame, but you'll have to do some fitting.
    I got one of those from Aim, myself. Very nice gun, but I like a CZ.

    I'd love to have an original Jericho for sure, but I'm good with my T120. Kinda wish the TriStar/Canik handguns were single action, being manual safety only. I understand there's a few advantages of having the double action capability in a manual safety only... but I'd rather have single action only with 'no decocker' firearms.
