  • We're taking a red hot look at some new saddlebags, sidebags, panniers, whatever you want to call them.
    I've just chucked some Shad SH23's on my 2022 Ninja 650, and here's an initial look at 'em!

    You might want to consider upgrading to a Z900 when you get a full license (way more power), but that’s a nice looking bike. Kawasaki have excellent aesthetics and are the best bang for buck bikes on the market. Thanks for the review as I’ve been looking for panniers for my Z900 as I’m also sick of the tail bag and wearing a backpack when touring, though Ogio that I have is good gear …

    They look much better than top box, and your center of mass is lower which is also better. The only problem I've noticed is that your indicators aren't visible from side.

    • @9LivesRides
      @9LivesRides  Před 9 měsíci +1

      I agree! The kit does come with adaptors to mount the stock indicators out the back of the boxes, it's only that I've installed my silly little indicators that's the problem. Thanks for watching!

    I was wondering if they have enough room for my 14" laptop..and bang! Then you mentioned it. They also seem sturdy enough to prevent theft. Thanks :) will order these.

    • @9LivesRides
      @9LivesRides  Před 4 měsíci +1

      Glad I could help! They're definitely sturdy enough, but as with anything, it wouldn't take a whole heap for a thief to rip them off with a bit of effort. For anyone else with laptop questions, I now have a 15.6" laptop and it very much does not fit that.

    1st of all, u r a funny dude. thanks for the laughs. Any issues with visibility of rear turn signals with the panniers? Also, I saw ur video when you lowed sided. Glad ur fine. Sincerely. whats the deal now? Did you keep the bike? Thanks and God Bless.

    • @9LivesRides
      @9LivesRides  Před 5 měsíci

      Haha appreciate it! The kit comes with extensions for the standard indicators so they're well seen from the back. My aftermarket indicators do get a little hidden but that's completely on me. Still got the bike, I show how I fixed some of the damage in another vid on the channel. Still loving the bike! Safe riding :)

      You're not wrong, but I'm going to leave it for the time being. The fitting kit comes with extensions for the original indicators which would make it a lot more visible.

      @@nelsonfamily6791 Should have read all your comments before replying to the other ones! I agree, I guess you have to weigh up proper visibility vs how good the bike looks. I personally haven't had any issues with the slightly "stealthier" indicators.

    Hey, if you were taking a trip to NY for 4 days (~8-10 hour drive), would you recommend the 36L side cases for the Ninja 650 or would that be too much?
    Also did the mounting brackets come in pairs for you, they don’t specify on their website.

    • @9LivesRides
      @9LivesRides  Před 3 měsíci +1

      I think you'd get away with the 23's if the weather is going to be good and you can pack fairly light, but I'd definitely be happier with the 36's for a trip of that length. The mounting brackets came in a pair with all the necessary fitting components. Hope this helps and good luck with your trip!
