Agreed, haven't seen it since like season 4 or the original I think, maybe it was 3 idk, I only watched it when it was on the channel I was watching even though I loved it as a kid.

I mean the BBP brawlers team name is already ridiculous as it is, it's another thing to included in the theme because then it's not just ridiculous, it's uncreative, unlike the lyrics in the og, I mean this is the only show I've ever seen them include the name of the main group in the theme. Beyblade burst never included BC Sol in their lyrics or any other modern cartoon. Besides Teen Titans Go, though that's off the og Teen Titans, which isn't surprising considering the show was also called Teen Titans, but even they had a better theme song, there's no debate on that, well, atleast the og one anyways
Some cartoons don't even have an intro song anymore sometimes just a logo. Star ears is now doing it, I don't know if the new pokemon has one maybe,marvel shows dont have a song anymore either,Netflix shows dont have any for newer shows and such. Nowadays we are lucky to even have a few small beats
Yeah, most shows just sound monotone, especially since they have a singer. And back, although you would get a hit or miss, you could tell that the singer did their best to get the tone across. Just look at Original Ben theme.
This is one of the reasons anime is thrashing American cartoons these days. There's a *PASSION* that is simply lacking from western media, not just in the songs either

I clicked on this out of curiosity because I genuinely forgot what the old intro was and then it hit me like a truck. My childhood flashed before my eyes.
Bakugan may not have had the most deep plot or themes, but one thing I still respect deeply about it today is that all of the monster battles were animated by hand. Most anime today(battle planet also has this issue) would have just used cgi and called it a day.
The original wasn't bad with its story. In fact, I highly adore it (especially when you remember that it all started because of one Bakugan wanting all the power in existence for himself because he didn't have any to call his own). But I hate a lot of the questionable choices they made with the story and a lot of lack of development or proper characterization. Damn it, now I wanna do a video review of this show...
@@GhostGuy99 I would love to see good analyses of the show. You're absolutely right, the story and the plot was really good, but they just really cut corners on some of the character's stories or solutions to problems etc. (And the battling got quite scuffed later on.)
I actually made a Bakugan meme once using the Thanos Infinity Stones template. Each Infinity Stone being one of the Elements in Vestroia, and Thanos being Vestroia.
Masqerade plot twist was the wildest thing back in the day. Hydranoid is still one of my favorite Bakugan to ever exist to this day. Sad that the few old bakugan I have now are the ones I never used and the ones I loved were sold.

Yeah the og bakugan theme was cool and it had nice rock music to listen to. But for bakugan battle planet theme was good but it should have a little bit more seriousness to it like it should like more you should vibe with and have a mix of rap and rock music together.

I'm more disappointed with the anime and video games, which don't really relate to the toys at all. The ss game could teach you og bakugan pretty well, if a bit different, but the new one just doesn't, even remotely.

I loved Battleplanet and Armored alliance when they came to Netflix. But no matter how good something is, it'll never beat a classic like Battle brawlers.

I was recently playing Defenders of the Core for the first time and the trophy that unlocked when Shun joined was called "Mr. Hotshot Himself" and that's how you know the original intro is the greatest.

I am pleasantly surprised to see a video on Bakugan. I have a few of my own and I still find the magnet transformation from marble to monster to be fun to keep doing. It was interesting to know that there was a new show in 2021 Though past words made it weird since previous articles made it sound like the product line was discontinued for good. A recent Target search indicates that there are still a few ready to be bought.
The old original show (2007-2012) is over, and the toys are discontinued. The new reboot from 2016 is still ongoing, and yes its very much alive and has their products on store shelves.
@@AquosFrost I do recall quite a few bakugan games while it was still out, and that one of the series had this gimmick if you overkilled another bakugan you can take it for yourself. If there was one thing that didn't seem to be talked too much was the card game aspect of Bakugan. In terms of forums or talk at the time there didn' t seem any talk of using them as a game and more as fun collectibles. The remake game seems to be interesting as some board game hybrid. Maybe I'll give it a shot later and see if it's fun.
Dude this just unlocked a hidden memory in me, it's been well over a decade since I last heard the original song and I've never thought to look it up all these years. My watching of bakugan was all over the place because english isn't my first language so it was harder to watch as a kid, and it was on an inconsistent tv schedule. And the mechanical bakugan in the OG that were animated in CGI, actually looked amazing in cgi. It helped differentiate them.

Considering how the anime industry is struggling to even do 2D animation at all, im grateful that the monsters are 3D in general.

I love the og songs it's like the songs i usually listen to the new one just sounds like they tried to match it to music most people listen to and failed
The new theme lacks confidence, it feels almost lame, like "Hey kiddos! Take a look at this! This is is cool right?". The old one had swagger, it was cocky, it was "Heck yeah we're cool! Let's watch some monsters shoot fireballs at each other! LET'S RUMBLE!"

Me: season 1: earth and vestroia. Season 2: vestroia and vestal. Season 3: earth and Gundalia. And by the end of each season, a villain is converted to a hero to stop the bigger villain and kill their army of monsters. ... HOW DID THEY MAKE A FORMULA THIS GOOD OUT OF AN INTRO THEME?!
After 6 years of never even hearing Bakugan, I still remember the intro word for word
I loved Battleplanet and Armored alliance when they came to Netflix.
But no matter how good something is, it'll never beat a classic like Battle brawlers.
The new one isn’t all that bad but def nothing like the old one, song defined my childhood

The OG Song has more high stakes lyrics and vibe to it. Which is basically summing up the plot of the each OG series. And i like it
I always question if the OG song is better until I hear "two worlds collide", then it becomes very clear that the OG song is better

I was recently playing Defenders of the Core for the first time and the trophy that unlocked when Shun joined was called "Mr. Hotshot Himself" and that's how you know the original intro is the greatest.

I am pleasantly surprised to see a video on Bakugan. I have a few of my own and I still find the magnet transformation from marble to monster to be fun to keep doing. It was interesting to know that there was a new show in 2021 Though past words made it weird since previous articles made it sound like the product line was discontinued for good. A recent Target search indicates that there are still a few ready to be bought.
The old original show (2007-2012) is over, and the toys are discontinued. The new reboot from 2016 is still ongoing, and yes its very much alive and has their products on store shelves.
@@AquosFrost I do recall quite a few bakugan games while it was still out, and that one of the series had this gimmick if you overkilled another bakugan you can take it for yourself. If there was one thing that didn't seem to be talked too much was the card game aspect of Bakugan. In terms of forums or talk at the time there didn' t seem any talk of using them as a game and more as fun collectibles.
The remake game seems to be interesting as some board game hybrid. Maybe I'll give it a shot later and see if it's fun.

Dude this just unlocked a hidden memory in me, it's been well over a decade since I last heard the original song and I've never thought to look it up all these years. My watching of bakugan was all over the place because english isn't my first language so it was harder to watch as a kid, and it was on an inconsistent tv schedule. But seeing this makes me wanna go for a proper rewatch. Thanks a bunch for this video ☝️😎
