Maddie late response but go to track controls, scroll to plug ins/EQ & turn noise gate on. it’ll cancel out the white noise depending on what you set the threshold/DB to, i recommend starting with 38 and going below from there, sometimes it’ll take out a low vocal too so make sure you aren’t so quiet and play around with the DB until you figure out what fits but above 40 is where white noise is heard which is why i recommend below 38. it does wonders.

I think the reason it does bad recordings when you use just one phone is because you’re using headphones with a built in mic. The mic takes priority, and then you’re not allowed to use the nicer built in iPhone mic. If you use the headphone adapter and different headphones without a mic, it might work out, and then you wouldn’t have to adjust the timing later. But still, if you’re comfortable and this process works for you, just keep at it. Can’t let anything slow you down from capturing your ideas.

Well you’re taking us into a loop. What you really need to do is if you have the karaoke music, you just need to drag it into GarageBand and just start record your vocals on to it. No need for another phone or trying to adjust the voice and songs together. It’s a waste of time. You can sing as background vocals also buy adding vocals. It’s just a lot easier this way. Hope this helps those beginners.
@@benleon1379 If you have a MacBook, download 4K Video Downloader so you can easily download an instrumental from CZcams by pasting the link of the said instrumental into 4K. After downloading, it should go straight into your Files. Your Apple account should be connected on both devices, MacBook and iPhone, that way you can just add it into the music piece in iPhone thru Files. If you DONT have a MacBook, screen-record the instrumental, download My MP3

What about the background noise (white noise) how do you get rid of that ?
Llamar You could try boosting up the noise reduction . But it’s best that you record somewhere quite where there’s least noise 😊
