PUSH the handlebar on the side you want to go, DO NOT turn your handlebars towards where you want to go in emergency situations when you're already moving. Turning the handbars in the direction you want to go is only for slow speed maneuvers.

I took my MSF this last March. I inherited a Road King. Road dirt bikes as a teenager. The ONLY thing that still gives me hesitancy and this is daily riding since I got my license is counter steering. Once I’m riding for 10 minutes I’m good. However first ride of the day the first 10 minutes I’m still leary to counter steer. It’s hard for my brain to want to do it. 😂
