- Today we are taking common thrift store items and updating them into beautiful, classic home decor pieces!
We will be using gorgeously ornate gold frames, an old cabinet door, and a woven wooden container. Using the Iron Orchid Designs Stamps “Reverie” and “Rural Scenes” from their new Summer Collection, these discarded pieces become stunning Classic Beauties!
Now relax and enjoy some Mozart as you view the final results!

I love how all three projects turned out, Becky! And Mr. Shabby's recommendation to use the blue was spot on! The new IOD stamps you used are stunning, and I may have to get those for myself. I noticed little Miss Daisy in the background keeping you company as you were crafting.....she's quite the little helper, isn't she?!?!

I loved everything about those projects, they turned out beautifully and I learned more about how to use those stamps because I have some that I purchased and never used but now thanks to you I will. Thanks Becky. By the way, I had to order some blue ink too because I decorate a lot in blue and white for summer and I had never considered using colored ink.
I’m so glad to hear you’re going to use your stamps Charlotte! You will spend many happy hours crafting with them. I practiced on scraps of fabric and paper in the beginning to get the hang of it. Then all those practice pieces can be turned into cute gift tags!

Wonderful as usual. I always find your videos so relaxing and informative. I wonder if a sponge roller would help pressing down the stamp. Too bad they don’t invent a brayer filled with ink in it. Just rolling it on would be great. Mr. Shabby has a good eye for color, the blue is classic with French design. On the door, wonder if the trim around the design could have been painted too to help bring out the colors of the print and enhance the design. Perhaps with colored wax you can wipe off. I’m working on several cabinet doors now and you’ve given me great ideas, as you always do.
Hello Gizmo, and thank you! I have used a brayer to thinly apply paint to my stamps and it works great. An ink filled brayer would be awesome! Mr Shabby is a talented stained glass artist who gives me tips all the time. I’ve tried to convince him to do youtube tutorials to no avail. Cabinet doors are a fantastic blank canvas and I hope you have a fabulous time crafting with yours!

Each one is beautiful and the clay looks gorgeous, no one else would know any detail missing just think old and rubbed away with time - love them all - TFS 💙🤍 (forgot to mention - have you tried rubbing the ink pad onto parchment or the lid and add wax to see if you could get the blue you wanted - absolutely nothing wrong with the paint you used mind)

First time watching from Australia. Very impressed. I have never before heard of that decal making paper. !!!! Do you have any more information or videos about it. I probably couldnt find it here in Australia, but I would like to try. TIA p.s. I have found that when I use inlays I dont get wrinkles if I spray the back of it just before putting it down.

@@lindyhawthorne2164 that’s very strange, as no oven is used per my product instructions. I do know there is a similar product called Shrinky Dinks, requiring an oven, that can be used to make charms, jewelry, keychains and such.
