The Silhouette allows you to etch and cut flexible metal clay sheet using your own designs on the Silhouette software. In this video, Cindy etches and cuts Phoenix Fine Silver and Aureus Bright Bronze Clay.
Note: The Silhouette Portrait has replaced the Silhouette Curio.
Artist and Instructor, Cindy Pope, started creating jewelry in 2007 and fell in love with the jewelry arts. Once she stumbled upon metal clay she became instantly enamored by the medium. Cindy started out with Precious Metal Clay certification and metalsmithing classes and she is one of Hadar Jacobson’s first Cadre of Base Metal Accredited teachers.
When Saul Bell Award winner Wanaree Tanner came out with the concept of cutting and etching metal clay with a machine designed for paper called the Silhouette, Cindy jumped on board with the new technology and has become one of the most recognized teachers in the field internationally.

Hi Delia, you can cut metal clay on the cameo 4 but the footprint size and weight of the portrait 3 makes it a better choice for metal clay. In my opinion The Portrait 4 and Curio 2 which are brand new machines with a higher price point and a very different technology are not yet tested well enough to recommend. The software is still catching up with the new hardware. The Curio 2 space requirements are 2 ft x 20 inches which is really really large and unsuitable for metal clay. please let me know if you have any additional questions.

@@cindypope6122thank so much for your reply , you have helped me make my decision I appreciate it very much. I make polymer earrings and want to learn about the metal clay . I have been watching so many tutorials about it. You offer a class in CZcams? I will be purchasing the kit set sometime soon. My daughter have bought me the new portrait 4 you say this one won’t work 😢.

If this is meant to be an introduction video, I feel like we're missing about 60% of the information. Would've been helpful to see the computer screen, have a brief walk through of what the buttons are and the parts of the machine.
Less about her work and her designs.
