Personal ENCOUNTER Up Close & Personal | UH-1 Huey Iroquois Helicopter Australia

In this helicopter encounter, we are taking a close up look at the Bell UH-1 Iroquois Huey helicopter, as seen in Hervey Bay recently.
This one is registered in Australia as VH-UVC 65-10100. It was built in 1966 with serial number 5144. It was re-registered and returned to service in October 2018.
The owner said that it has served in active service in 'Desert Storm' operations during 1990-1991. It may also have been involved in the 1955-1975 Vietnam War also, as that is what they were built for.

Ahhhhh...the video certainly bought back some memories from the past! I became a 'frequent flyer' (army and Westpac Rescue) in this type of helicopter, strong and reliable, a true workhorse. Nice to see one in such good condition.

CRAYONBOX FLYING ADVENTURES unfortunately yes, they are searching an area off Anna Bay but no luck so far, there are reports of decree spotted

@@CrayonboxAviationAdventures was travelling at 70 knots at 3500ft and then fell at 154 knots according to the tracking data. Very sad for all their families.
