It's not the age gap that is the issue exactly. I mean 16 and 17 is fine and 17 and 19 is fine, and 31 and 41 is okay, even 21 and 27 is okay. But 16 and 22 is not okay. It's a combination of the age gap and the young age itself.

In some states 16 is okay, in some states it's 17, and in some, it's 18. It's not right but if they dated, it would really depend on what state they were in as to whether or not they would get in legal trouble.
Even as someone who lives in the U.S., I think they're should be uniformity across the states for stuff like this.
