I remember playing Halo 2 in the early 2005. Having played CE some years before, i thought that the fight on the the first ring was all. Watching the cutscene when the Covenant Super Carriers broke through the UNSC fleet and Lord Hood dismissed Keyes attack with her ship, and just after Chief asked to leave and attack it himself and granted permission. Then when he reached the Core with the bomb and the music sets in - that for me showed how insane Chief’s potential was.
I got pumped from the "I'll need a weapon" part all the way to the final "finishing this fight"... Cliffhanger.

When playing as MC we often forget how much MC have sacrificed and gone through.
@Gam146 funny you mention that, I think it’s actually implied somewhere that Master Chief did not sleep at all during the Battle of Installation 04
@@Ashley-Slashley it's not just implied. He fought for I think the books said 46 hours straight at one point on Halo, and I think the battle of Installation 04 was only 3-4 days.

Hope Master Chief still has a bunch of cool one-liners ahead of him. I was so disappointed by the depiction of Master Chief in Halo 5, hope he comes back as the ultimate bad ass. That fight with Locke didn't seem very lore accurate. Oh well infinite looks like it will be a great return to form, can't wait to get back in the shoes of Spartan 117.

@@rubydancer4241 I do the same, and am a girl. I find that H3 Chief is very emotionally adept, but you see it in his mannerisms and micro movements, all of which had to be intentionally done by the creators for that game. Good stuff.

Something i never noticed regarding the way Chief handles human corpses in the games is how gentle he is when. With covenant corpses he's dismissive and just throws or pushes them aside if they're in the way. With human corpses he's gentle and hesitent when grabbing equipment from them or when investigating them. In halo Infinite you see it when he's grabbing the assault rifle off the corpse in the warthog thats floating in space, he goes to reach over, notices the dead marine and hesitates before gentle grabbing the rifle. A little humanity I never noticed until now.
He's likely so hesitant so if he touches a human he doesn't harm them in anyway like superman they're so strong they have to flex to keep their muscles back
Only thing missing from this amazing video, is that 117 was one of only two Spartans to be declared hyper-leathal, the only other being Nobel 6.
And us as spartan 4s. That’s in the lore as well. Talk about breaking the 4th wall.

@@WisdomThumbs Essentially, S2 in armor is the same as an S4 in armor. An S2 without armor has a chance of beating an S4 in armor due to raw speed, strength, and reaction time paired with superior training. An S2 without armor would absolutely obliterate an S4 without armor.
@@coleG112 depends on the armor as a Spartan 2 or 3 in gen 1 armor is likely to be able to overpower a Spartan 4 in Gen 2 however if said two or three is in Gen 2 they will be evenly matched as Gen 2 has a cap on strength and speed unlike gen 1 however Gen 2 augments all wearers to the same extent even the inferior Spartan Fours

I wonder how he'd react if he were to ever be reunited with his family, although I'm pretty sure it's confirmed they died during the war. I think we had something like that in one of the books however, with a dad hunting for the truth about his daughter.

When the truth was told by you installation 00. From the beginning. You know how this end. Remember the name Master Chief. For those who not played this hero yet. I hope you get the chance to play Chief on infinite. You have no idea on what he is or why. The story lore alone is wholy engolfing. When I played Halo CE back in the days when this game came out. I was hooked rite out. The campaign was a storyline that made the great chariters of Halo. To use a quote from this game. At the end of Halo 3 a greatful human race gave Chief a good send off. The arbiter said "Where it so easy." after Lord Hood couldn't believe Chief was gone. Cut sence ends and chief is seen in the aft end of forward onto dawn alive. In the end Chief is a game icon and he deserves all the respect he has earned tons of times. Installation 00 once again you bring the true hero that made the FPS games run on terror. Time to bring Chief back. Much appreciated lore and content. What a breakdown of Chief. Keep it going. Standing by 5-5.

Did you know that Halsey also took notice of him because of his crazy good luck? His luck in doing the impossible was mentioned many times.
I think that speaks to Halsey’s intelligence as well. Noticing the moments where skill wasn’t at play and how often it occurred, which further tells of how well she knows the Spartans

@@dimitrijetokovic5652 i guess but i think the idea is that the covenant are that much superior with their weaponry. I think if they made Chief's movements movement speed more in line with his lore reaction times and speeds, it would make more sense gameplay wise

I hope that there will be a SPARTAN-IV in Infinite that became a Spartan because he/she was a massive fan of the Chief as a kid (and still is). Could be a great comedic relief character if done right.
It'd be an interesting way to explore the reality of the chief as well as the image.
What the UNSC saw of him compared to what went on behind the visor...heck, the pilot might even be a good character for it.
It's something that Halo 4 and 5 could've poked at but sadly didn't, Hunt The Truth did go that angle too, talking about him like a legend...but we have not seen it properly in game yet and it'd be very exciting.
I have always had this idea that there was a small close knit group of S4's that had dedicated themselves to uphold the mantle of what it meant to being a Spartan as they had actually fought by the Master Chief's side in one theatre or another. Maybe most if not all were inspired by him when they volunteered for the Spartan IV program; but it's another thing to see the Chief in person and fight by his side.... Man, I really hope that one Corporal from the Fall of Reach book got his wish and was asked to join the Spartan project.

And it could actually mean more than just 'he inspired me to become a Spartan,' since you could easily make the case that the Master Chief was pivotal in the battles which finally broke the Covenant and ensured Humanity's survival. So, it could also mean, 'we owe our lives to his actions.'
That could still be inspirational, but it's never expanded on with any real detail.
Could be a great dramatic character as well.

Honestly the chief is my absolute favourite gaming character ever and I’m a guy who grew up playing sonic!! (Love him too) he is truly iconic and the lore behind is so dam interesting. I fell in love with this character probably the same time a lot of us did when we were first awoken on the pillar of autumn and I spent countless hours as a young lad playing the first halo with my friend on coop and we played right up till halo 4 (personal opinion not the best halo game) but regardless we played every bungie game together.
Halo is truly a legendary experience for all fps fans and if you haven’t played them I highly suggest you give them a go.

I would love to see like a short story or comic of the Spartan II's having a conversation with Oni and Halsey about what they did to them because it really is messed up.
Chief was starting to question it in Halo 4, but resolved himself in Halo 5 to be on mission. The Spartans could maybe approach them with this, but I think they’re so far gone that they wouldn’t feel like bringing it up. “It doesn’t matter, we knew what we signed up for” “You were 6” “And we still feel the same”
Or ONI and Halsey could approach them, ordered by their persecutors for war crimes, basically forced to reintegrate the Spartans into people again. To first get them to fully entire the weight of what became of them, by comparing them to the children they protect, would they have those kids become Spartans? Would the Spartans note their lack of genetic pre-requisite to make the program? Or would they feel the weight of that and feel protective? Would this reinforce the Spartan’s sense of duty? Or send the gravity of their fate to the forefront of their mind, before the mission - for once.

I freakin love Master Chief, I’ve looked up to him almost all my life, and I’ve grown to follow his morals and have a similar personality and mindset to him, I just hope to one day prove myself as he has throughout the halo saga, he is an absolute hero, as I hope to become.
And also great work Installation 00, I love that you were able to honor Master Chief in such a way that he feels real, I love your work, keep it up.
The thing that makes halo different from other science fiction is that usually sci-fi works explore the hubris of mankind and how humanity becomes its own worst enemy or leads to their downfall. Halo says something greater. Humans hold the mantle and hubris is on the covenant and the forerunners. Even questionable things like the spartan 2 program or the creation of cortana are things that lead to the humans upholding the mantle. It makes halo better than any other
it's a story of perseverance and that's why it's so beloved like you said it's not about our downfall but about our uplifting

I was never critical of John’s luck because “luck is where preparation meets opportunity” and so he deserves all the luck he gets
When u realise the spartans iv can actually fit into the lil circle thing to put on the armour but chief is too huge that he had to stand outside
And he can hold it while it is powered off being disconnected, the IVs need something else to hold its weight without crushing them. IIs were build different

Imagine being almost completely out of ammo all your guys are down you’re the last one and then you see the master chef appear. Real moral boost
207 engagements may include insurrectionist infiltration missions. Which u seem to have left out exclusively for the sake of Covenant engagements. There are 3 known engagements against the Innies and one of them included Covenant, as depicted in Forward Unto Dawn. There's technically 4 if u include the recent comic that showed the Spartans teaming up with Innies against Covenant forces, but their mission priority wasn't the Innies themselves. The other 2 missions are depicted in the Onyx novel by Kurt and the older comic that showed the Spartan IIs' first mission ever. So I do believe it is all lumped together, unless ONI keeps the Innie missions under black ops and considers those missions "unofficial". I do think it's important to note that the Spartans were intended to fight and quell Insurrectionist activities. Which is y I believe the "covered in black ink" missions are also included with those 207 "engagements". And if u want to go down the rabbit hole even further, Silent Storm adds a somewhat possible 5th encounter with Innies that contributed to the failure of their mission in that novel. However, I wouldn't doubt if ONI tried to establish the Spartans as a whole being created to counter the Covenant threat instead of Innies publicly. It would just be bad press during the Human-Covenant War to reveal their true intended purpose. I just think all those awards he received weren't solely from Covenant engagements. Maybe some Insurrectionist missions got him some well deserved medals. Just my opinion.

That 117 designation is obviously a reference to John Spartan, Sylvester Stallone's character from the movie "Demolition Man". 117 is his Prisoner ID number in the SAPD Cryoprison.
