Definitely not. By its own admission, Legion was created and dispatched shortly after Sovereign's destruction; it's a special platform designed to be able to operate on its own outside of Geth Space in order to interact with organics. What's actually happening is that Legion - and the geth - don't really understand that they've unknowingly attached sentimental/symbolic value to this design, just like organics would, so it's struggling for a "practical" answer that would make sense to itself. It's just like how Legion couldn't find an answer for why it decided to repair itself with Shepard's N7 armor when any material would have worked just as well and could only answer "No data available..." in an unsure voice.
@@UrLeingod That's an explanation of when Legion's outer hardware was created but the geth are synthetic beings like the reapers. I imagine that it's entirely possible that the first geth unit to pick up a gun and defend its people was a unit that was highly regarded after the war. He was probably the Shepard of his people. I imagine they reuploaded his software into the new unit (I mean I have no more evidence than these scenes but isn't it more fun this way?) and when we meet him in ME2, Legion is on his own mission to ally himself with an organic who could actually help him and his people.

Most geth units have around 100 programs making up what we'd call their "mind;" Legion has 1,183. There's just no way it was around at the time of the Morning War, and it definitely isn't the one who picked up that rifle, which was clearly supposed to be a "normal" geth. It does, though, come back to a similar point. The geth are able to attach symbolic/sentimental value to things, but don't actually understand that they've done so and instead have to rationalize it as practicality. Legion couldn't understand its own feelings that drove it to incorporate Shepard's armor into itself, so it can only say "There was a hole." The geth can't understand their feelings that drive them to recreate the design of that rifle, so they can only say "It's an efficient model."
Anyone else remember dialogue when u get out ur LI Liara would ask shepherd if they are ok and shepherd would reply jokingly “worried about me?” Which doesn’t seem to exist in legendary edition whatever I try out of interest to try find it?
I meant to put a slash in I’m not sure if other LIs used to do it as well but yea now it’s replaced by “did it work” which I always swore used to be the renegade angled response but then my characters balanced n I can remember on the original game he used to say that

I've never romanced Liara, so I've never seen that. But that definitely seems like a strange thing to remove.
