I love the medallion technology. We cruised on Princess last December and I did not have a problem with it. My favorite part is the opening your door as you approach it. Dine My Way is easy to use to set up different times each day. You can reschedule right before your time slot for dinner. We got the band to wear it on our arm, so we had nothing to keep up with like a card. You can even get in water without taking it off. Showing this to my friend for our cruise next year.

Thank you for the helpful video. Questions I would appreciate an answer to if you know the answer: 1) Can you use complimentary dinning credit prior to being on the ship for specialty dinning? In the past you could only use it once on board.2) Does it show day by day what are the main entrees/ specialties of the day served in the main dinning room someplace on dine my way? The reason I am asking that is I like to know what is being served in the main dinning rooms each day before deciding if I am eating there or in a specialty restaurant that day..3) Does it show Chefs table as a specialty option prior to the cruise? I know Chefs table is very limited and a hope for the best type of situation but I would like to know if you still have to wait to be on board to try to get a reservation and if you still have to wait do you try on the app or at a counter on board? Thank you for your time.
I really like this! The wave of the future! I like the fact that you don’t have to worry about going to maitre d and lining up for reservations. Hopefully I will be able to actually try this soon. Thanks for the tutorial ☺️

When nearly every passenger books meals before even sailing for every night then they decide which bookings they will accept but NOT cancel those they don't want...that's when it all goes wrong.

This is so cool, I hope NCL will have something like this for a Group Cruise that might be coming up
if you book all your dining options before the start of the cruise, can you change it as the cruise goes along. Thinking of days ashore when you may get back later than planned.
You absolutely can! It’s designed around your needs now! For example- Your in Honolulu and it’s a 11pm departure (late port of call), and you have dining scheduled for 645pm but want to have a later dinner as your still out. Just open your dine my way, select view or book individual and your reservation for that day will come up- press edit and adjust to your new time! 🙂.

It would be helpful to compare old to new. We used anytime dining before and I think it is the second selection. But I am not sure.

I usually travel alone and have loved having the same dining partners every night. It looks like this will no longer be possible? This is definitely going to make cruising less enjoyable for me, especially when I am alone.
Hello Carol;
You will be able to eat with others absolutely. They haven’t fully released what the protocols are but when playing around with the App you have the option for solo eaters to choose a party of 6 or 8 to eat with or they will provide you with the best available. This will allow for individuals like yourself to still enjoy dining room dinners with other travellers.

Sorry, but it looks like this is all not functional and on hold for now, as Princess sorts out their IT issues with the new APP and the web-site Cruise Personalizer. It looks like a lot of folks with cruises booked have not been able to do these reservations.
My issue was I couldn’t get them to agree to let me sit at the same table/wait staff each night. I complained to many staff with no success. I’m cruising soon & I’m going to insist to be at the same table each night. Any experience/suggestions?
The first night that we ate in the dining room we had the absolute best service. The waiter and asst waiter were charming, funny and just all around delightful. We decided we wanted to sit at that table every night for the rest of the cruise. The 2nd night we were told they couldn’t accommodate our request so we sat a few tables over and while the waiter was fine, his asst was rude and unfriendly as well as unprofessional as she rolled her eyes a few times. After dinner as we were leaving we were asked why we didn’t sit at Daniels table to which we replied we were told we couldn’t. They apologized to us and let us know they would seat us at Daniels table for the rest of the cruise whenever we ate in the dining room.
Does anyone know what to do if we get an error message (Unable to retrieve guests journey information) when trying to book speciality dining? For some reason I can book the main dining room with no issues, this is only when booking speciality dining.
How do you increase the number of guests at your table?
Are we able to make this reservations once were on the ship
What do I do iff the guest across from ,e begins to cough and doesn't stop coughing throughout the meal. What should I do?

You can actually book it via website prior to boarding or via the Portals around the ship.

Can you give me advice. I downloaded the app yesterday but it doesn't recognise my booking number? Maybe it's too soon as I'm not leaving o my cruise till 28th May.
Interesting! We have entered our bookings into the MedallionClass App all the way till summer of 2023 and they all show up. I would suggest that you delete the app and reinstall again. If that still doesn’t work then I suggest that you call Princess at 1-800-774-6237 and speak to the Medallion Department. The team there are awesome and will assist! ~ Matty
Thank you. I contacted my travel agent today and they said that Princess systems were down and someone will get back to me tomorrow. Fingers crossed as I was looking forward to having a play with the app and I'm so excited about the cruise. We only booked it on Thursday. We were meant to go on Sky Princess 2 years ago but our cruise was cancelled over Covid. I was so disappointed and I am over the moon to be finally getting to go this year 🤞🤞🤞
Although your video is appreciated, it's important people know this app is faulty. We entered our dinning information immediately, after final payment. We checked it the following week and it was there. One month later it was GONE ! We contacted Princess and they did NOT fix it. Cruise reviews identified this app as a problem. 'Dine My Way'.... Really???
