The engagement that this show has with its followers is what sets it apart. They make a point of being a part of the rugby world, being involved in it rather than just talking about it. The analysis and in-depth discussion is pure rugby and is what draws people to the pod.
100% - I saw the Crusaders comments last week and thought they were spot-on, first thing the rugby pod do is acknowledge they've seen them too and will adapt. Bravo Rugby Pod, making the best rugby show even better week-by-week.
Speak for yourself.
I am more curious about the NZ 15 than SA 15 this year tbh. What will Razor do with Midfield, 10 and Savea will say a lot.
Crazy how use praised everyone in the hurricanes except there prop tyrell lomax that man has literally carried that tight 5 alongside Xavier and pouri rakete-stones they are out powering every team up the front.
Creating easy meters for there team.
Start up your own show and praise him on your knees.
@@ljproduction21 Yeah ... n you'd be an excellent ball boy !!
@@ohnean1 you too can get on your knees for the ball.
Arguably the best TH in rugby.
He ripped Ethan degroot apart in the highlanders matchup, no mean feat!
Put some respect on TJP's name. The man has been part of a world cup winning squad, Rugby Championship winner, Super Rugby winner, and has 60 TRIES in SP. Plus try of the year. He is an excellent player, leader, and person (his outspokenness against LGBTQ antagonism, in particular). The 'Canes will be just fine with him at 9. I think it would be absurd not to have in the ABs as well given both his experience and skillset. I'm an unapologetic TJP stan and I feel like he suffered in the Aaron Smith era same way that Nick Evans and Aaron Cruden (to a lesser extent) did in the DC era. He's world class on form, but just doesn't seem to get the respect and recognition that he deserves.
His only value was in prolonging Smith's career. TJ seemed to spend time practicing the haka than practicing passing.
@@itistrue101sounds like an old white man comment...
Can't believe no ones mentioned Ioes ... a beast in all departments and genuine nmbr 8 !!
Think the 8 that was there for jacobson was awesome. Fast great offloads. Thanx
Kudos to the pod team and great that they listen to their viewers - great show again. Maybe you could do 15mins analysis of each of the Kiwi based sides say one per week? Awesome thanks guys - viewer from Cambodia here
Loving the detail , it sets this show apart.
Love this Podcast!!! Here from SA
Jipper, The stats man. The Jipper stats show
Wallace Sititi to be this years bolter!
Amazing game in the weekend Bryn! 👍🏽
hyping players up playing sub par teams is a dangerous game
Even the landers when they win they hardly get mentioned on the breakdown. Landers have improved this year just hurricanes game was horrible, hurricanes are doing well . That Fiji game was brain fade from the ref
More of Jipper next to the big screen!! Love the show! Greetings from Spain
ABs need a blockbuster runner at first five, break the line, break the tackle, & to have the ability too reap havoc. Kenny naholo is the MAN.
hahaha
Parsons looks 10 years younger than normal. Must be becuase his blues are at the top of the tree.
The best 8 in Super Rugby is Sotutu. This guy is one of better line out forwards in NZ.
His form this year has been consistent. He is good enough play at inside centre too.
He isn’t short,he is 6ft 4ins.
Iose number 8 for canes. Guys unreal. Dynamic.
Hey team how do we get Joseph Manu into the All Blacks? I reckon he will do amazing in our backline
It's DMac Time now Baby 🔥
Proctor isn’t pushing?
Jason Holland is selecting the centres in Razors slightly convoluted selection scheme, so who knows maybe he appreciates a centre who actually distributes, doesn't think his speed alone is going to get the outside break every single time (unlike Rieko) also has a kicking game, and an existing combination with the current AB's 12. Even as a Blues fan I think Rieko is the most over-rated 13 around.
BP playing outside a wrecking ball like Aumua or Jordie would be elite and so well balanced. BP doesn’t get nearly enough recognition for his defensive work. He’s so key to the Canes backline and defensive structure.
I totally agree about the 'crusaders show' !!! Otherwise, this is my fav rugby podcast. Brilliant guys, thank you.
Yes 100% to the ruck clean out question. Watch how England play - its a mess. Players goal should be to step over ball and control the space so its their ball onside. Not sure if i agree with panel responses here. Often scenarios discussed dont really apply.
Razor didn't stop of in Japan recently for nothing!!
Whoever leads their team to a Championship.Finals is where it all counts.
And not winning it?
@@nepiahemopo1702 not sure I understand?
14:48 PeRofeTa, not "Peddofeddah".
Perofeta isn't test quality. Just stick with Dmac and BB.
Jordie Barrett has been better than bb
How do you know?? He's hardly played for NZ
@@MegaTkls 🤔👍
@@MegaTkls I just feel that until he produces consistently good performances at Super Rugby level, he'll struggle at the next level.
@@jamesblewman he’s been a lot better than beauden at 10. You could be right but we’ll never know unless he plays
Haha.the canes have peaked too early again. They have nothing more to bring to the table while the rest are building for the real games
Ruben Love 1st five
Oh The Jipper stats show and others
QUESTION: Not to be a Debbie downer as I think super has been awesome, but 15 vs 14 for extended periods is still ruining the contest of Rugby in general. Do you think changing some of the pressure yellow cards like scrum yellows, line our drive and offside 5 m out yellow cards to the offending player is off until the next stoppage rather than 10 minutes, keeps the contest alive but also gives the attacking team an advantage to score more tries as you can't just grind away for 10 minutes. It also stops a game going from a tight contest to a blowout when 2-3 tries are scored in the 10 minutes of yellow card.
Hurricanes Vs FijianDrua SemiFinal 2024!
the big question is WTF is up with those White shorts 😂
DC
BILLY PROCTOR
No champions cup😢
the last time I saw a meltdown as bad as the Drua's, it was in Chernobyl.
Has you seen Chef the movie?!
All of them are sucked.period . Carter was the last real deal
Well it was good of Sky to finally let this show have some game coverage to go along with the analysis, rather than letting that awful show The Breakdown hog it all while JK does his rude crazy-uncle shtick for 50 minutes. It's a shame you would never know the Blues and Chiefs played last week though, and the standout performance of Wallace Sititi. Sure the opposition was poor in both games, but you can only play who's in front of you.
Perenara never had the depth Roigard has.
Smith never had the depth that Roigard has. Roigard brings his own set of skills. It's refreshing.
@@nepiahemopo1702 Noone had a pass like smith. It gave the All Blacks seconds of advantage. I'm a Roigard fan. He'll be back.
Cam is a special player with the potential to be the best AB half-back we have ever had. Will be sorely missed by the Canes.
@@Marius_vanderLubbe in a way it allowed a rush defence to target the AB backline more due to lack of variety. Most of the t8me Smith passed so the rust defence always had a target to aim for. Because his pass was so good he probably moved away from sniping or runn8ng too much himself. With Roigard, the ABs could have played more off 9 which would have had defences second guessing what he would do so giving back lines a bit of extra time
Hurri-CANES.
Please stop throwing out your disrespect by calling us the Hurri-kins.

Is this really a real question ???
Beaudy is awful and has been for 6 years
DMAC all day
Beaudy was one of the best players in the ABs last year. Kicking from hand is world class and he's massively underrated in NZ
He may not be a #10 but he was our best fullback by a mile (if compared to Will Jordans FB performances with the ABs)
lobotomised take
So "awful" that's he's a 1st 15 player while the other is still competing for match day 23. 😂
@@geofflecren8827 Nothing Personal about Beaudy - But selection based on nepotism from the Coaching staff , not quality of form ( the whole “ class is permanent and form is temporary “ story get old after awhile )
… just an opinion - don’t get offended .
The ABS lost their way years ago , picking on “ Loyalty “
Let’s be honest here - Foster was almost the worst coach statistically in ABS history for 3 years straight …. Until he was forced by the public scrutiny and the board , to take on Jason Ryan and Irish Joe
Proving how important a REAL coach is .
Difference being incredibly obvious and positive after their inclusion .
Larger point is we need to start evolving the game , coaching , administration and selection .
From the ground up .
Living in the past , inc hanging on to older players is not the way forward surely !?
NZ rugby has fallen shockingly behind other countries at Junior levels, like Ireland , England and France 🇫🇷.
@@NateMulder He's a great individual, every time he played 10 he made the rest of the backline worse even when he looked great himself. He's modern day Carlos Spencer.
All of Barret's best historic play has been fullback or off the bench.
I'll agree with your "was" our best fullback, but I'll also agree with @JP.Travelz that it's 6+ years ago for most of his form.
Nek minute the BUS Juilan Savea returns to the MIGHTY ALL BLACKS 🤙😯🙏😲
A spent force almost a decade ago now. More of a slow people mover van packed with about a dozen overweight kids, which would be pretty fitting.
Great show guys, keep it up. Pls don't follow JK in trying to change the soul of rugby union
You need different guests now and again.
DMAC best position no 15
Agreed but he doesn’t want it
No, he is 10. Let him be the playmaker, he has earned it
Will jordan 15

Beuden Barrett it was and it is the best All Black no 10
😂😂
They worldcup year when Dmac got injured before the worldcup, that period Bouden Barret was world player of the year at 10...nobody came close to him, and with the new dual pivit attack, BB and dmac where tearing teams up.... Dmac got injured and instead of bringing Ben smitj back, Hanson chose to move Muanga to 10 and bb to 15...i believe this is wat cost the abs that worldcup and also robbed of of what would probably have been a goat career at 10 for BB... From that time BB skilset and ability to play 10,15 and 14 has been his own downfall... These coaches have used him as they see fit, and its been detrimental to his rugby on a personal level... Iv always believed he was better than Muanga, just never got his time in the saddle for any sustained period as Moanga has..... However at his current age, looking to the future.. I think his time has passed... Give Dmac the reins and let him settle and groom perofita, let BB finish at 15...and cover 10 as his been doing, atleast he will still have influence witn his experience.. My 2c
@moegamadadams1156 Agree with most points. Though, Barrett never played 14 and the main reason we lost the semi final in 2019 was due to the forwards.
@@antology7 2019 was def a weak forward pack - demolished by an England pack that Peaked a week early
Beauden and Dmac are well renowned failures at 10 for the ABs
Brilliant at club but could never reach potential
This is true but who else we got?
@elhefe808 I'd be interested to see how they would go behind a pack going backwards. I personally think England, SA will shove The ABs all over the place and Mike Cron is at The Wallabies he could turn them around to at the very least match the ABs
Beauden? A failure?

@artetaDagoat at 10 he has been poor
