Just did my first string change on one of these - when you feed the string through the bridge, an alternative to using an allen wrench to lift the string over the saddle is that you can put the ball end of the string into the channel so that the end of the string goes into it. Then a little pull brings it right up!

If you slot and separate the heart-shaped tail end of the guitar body, to resemble chicken legs, then you can call the guitar the headless chicken

Changing guitar strings shouldn't require a tool kit, holy shit. These guitars look cool, but at what cost?! 😂

It's one allen key and a flush cutter. Headless guitars are a LOT easier to restring and tuning stability is also similar or better to that of locking tuners.

floyd rose guitars have been around for like 40 years and you need tools to change strings. no different from headless guitars needing a wrench. Having tools to change strings is normal for some guitars. Were you living under a rock?

I was thinking that the small kink in the string could be done at the 1st step before sliding through the bridge to guide it right over the saddle w o having to use a tool.

    great vidio
I'm going to play my Floyd Bridge guitar headless
    I'd like to renovate it
    It's Floyd Rose's original model
    Do you think it'll match?

Wow, while I fully understand how this works. It's quite tedious work just to change one string. And not to mention having the right tools. While this looks really cool, but imagine playing a gig a one string pops, and you don't have another guitar...

I don't get the bridge end Allen Key part. I don't see the point. It's not like the string can escape anywhere?

i have a headless guitar with a floating trem and i am having a hard time trying to tune it to standard since the tuners can only go that far when you turn it to pull back the tension of the string.
do you think i should be placing just enough length of the string so it can hit the standard tuning without reaching the limitation of the tuners?
    thanks

I often have problems with stringing number 1. how do I attach the strings to the nut so that the strings don't break?

I really enjoy using a victorinox model with small pliers. Like cybertool. It's the perfect size and great for cutting strings too. Could help you with 2:09

Thanks for the explanation. How do you adjust the scale (I mean string intonation on this bridge)? Is there any special sauce to be succeeded with adjustment? Thanks!
