Yea, whenever I encounter gloom hands, 9/10 times I just teleport to the nearest shrine. Easier than trying to outrun them. And they just aren't really worth fighting due to how much they can soak up in resources unless you're in the late game and have the resources to spare. They can drop some pretty cool loot though if you do fight them. Some of the best meld material in the game in terms of offense.
@@veroxid A couple of well-shot bomb arrows usually takes care of all of them. Then Phatom Ganon's pretty much a joke. If you're considering all melee, then spears are the best choice, since they're quick. Regular one-handed and two-handed swords/axes/clubs usually end up with you getting command-grabbed.
im honestly really mad lynels give the best attack power items rather than gleeoks. those dragons are way harder and a lot more resource intensive than any lynel.
@@xyannail4678 facts. people are so scared of lynels but once you learn their attacks (which are extremely limited), just backflip and sidestep until you get an opening, (they literally wont be able to touch you if you know how to do those 2 things) then hit them in the face with an arrow and go crazy, or you can flurry rush pretty easily as well. you can also mount them when they’re stunned with a high attack weapon if you want so it doesn’t lose any durability. its gotten to the point where silver bokoblins and moblins are much harder for me than lynels.
Always gonna remember suiting up, equipping my strongest weapon, shield and bow, activating all powers and getting some food boosts only to get destroyed in less than a minute
When I first saw a King Gleeok in the distance, I got a big, goofy grin on my face. Gleeok was a tough boss from the very first game, so I knew he'd be a fun challenge to overcome in 3D. Imagine if he still had floating heads shooting projectiles at you.
I died so many times to a king gleeok And then finally after a great eagle bow, arrow stocking, and many bomb arrows and homing arrows, I put that bish down
You can easily cheese him (same as basically all non-boss enemies) by triggering "bullet time" and shooting his heads during that time. There are so many simple ways to trigger bullet time anywhere in this game, all and any difficulty is basically self-inflicted.

@1995krampe those things scared the shit out of me so i already made sure to take the master sword and hylian shield when i went down there. Putting the light dragons stone on it makes the master sword heal you as you hit enemies. With anti gloom food, the encounters can become really trivial. Phantom Ganon is really easy to blovk and dodge, but he can be q pain in the ass if the master sword breaks early. But Now i actively run at them whenever i see them

First Gleeok I fought was the King Gleeok in the depths. Rough fight but I'll be damned, as a BotW veteran I struggled and so it was nice to actually have a difficult battle.
King Gleeok wasn't the first I fought, but it was the first I killed. Rolled up with the whole squad and the strongest weapons I could get a hold of. I thought I was screwed at the end when he flew near the ceiling till I got lucky with the drafts and nailed him with savage-lynel powered bomb arrows. Nothing compares.
I remember my first encounter with Gleeok flying over the colosseum and just my luck my stamina was running out then I teleported to another shrine lol
I caught a glimpse of one when I was in the sky after launching from Rospro Pass Skyview Tower. If you land on one of the sky islands up there you might see another one that has a Flux Construct on it. And if you look below that island you'll see a Frost Gleeok flying around.
I remember that place (Colosseum i mean). When i landed there, i saw that Thunder Gleeok from above. What i did in that situation? I made a photo of that beast (my primary objective- make a Hyrule Compendium as much as i can, beside building something practical with that Ultrahand stuff), put a skull marker on map, and teleported to safe place.
On one hand they totally upped the difficulty of the boss monsters, on the other they gave us a whole arsenal of Zonai devices to go completely crazy on them so it balances out.
A frost Gleeok left me with only 1/4 a heart left. I instantly knew it was the only roaming boss i could not handle at the moment so i left before i lost it all.
I was just strolling through Akkala, minding my own business. I climb up to the top of the ruins, and an electric Gleeok starts chasing me half way across the map.
I never played the original game far enough to see one of these… so when I seen one in the distance guarding Eldien Bridge I turned away and let the survey core figure it out 😂😂

The fist one I saw was actally a king one since I skipped over this one and wanted to know what was on the round really remote sky island in the hebra region so I just got a lot of hight and parasailed over there, instanly died. Have beaten a normal one tough, one trick is to just get the apropriate elemenral immunity armour and get the set bonus from that and level 2 elemental resist armour stacked with lefel 3 defense up is enough to only take 0.25 hearts of damage from the beams, then you just need to get bullet time and kill the 3 heads quickly attack meelee and repeat.
I was wearing the Rito Feather Armor when I encountered the Frost Gleeok near the Lomei Labyrinth. It didn't help, and I got frozen... I thought I could use Fire Arrows on it, but I can't seem to hit it.
I climbed a random tower in the overworld and found myself face to face with the Lightning Gleeok and a large yellow ball and before I could even NOPE outta there, I was Ghidora Roast. Between that and the Gloom Hands, this game has made my body react in ways I didn't know possible.
Gloom hands were the first Zelda bosses/enemies that made me turn around and run away. I was just so freaked out my brain turned itself off and I ran xD

Tips for fighting them. 1. Use eyes on your arrows to make the arrows home in on the heads. Even better if they are the eyes of a Keese that is the oposite element as the Gleeok. 2. Use the terrain as cover and wear armor that negate their elemental damage. Like wearing rubber armor or the thunder helm for lightning Gleeoks. 3. Eat an attack up food 10 minutes before the fight to deal extra damage.
@@kisukami6719 well it's a rib so the durability is so low and you get so much by doing the gerudo quest, litterally 1 arrow in the eye kills the gleeok head
Try opening up with dazzlefruit. A dazzlefruit will completely stun all normal Gleeok heads from attacking for a few seconds so you can get a few crits.
Then it beams you through your construction, steals your Zonaite with an inconveniently times autosave, tips its three hats, and opens your map for you to teleport away
my first was an ice gleeok in the hebra region 20 mins later I warp back to kakariko with no food, most weapons gone, and at a quarter heart. them things tough, and with bad terrain its hell to even try getting up
Just like the Lynels in BOTW, I used to run away every time I would cone across one. But then once I got comfortable with the game, I was beating the Lynels no problem. In TOTK, I was doing the same thing with the dragons. Running away every time. But now I can beat any dragon in the game without even taking damage
Easy mode: Lvl3 Lynel bow + bunch of Keese eyes. Make it rain, permastun him, then wail away. If you're fast you can even stunlock him away from his final phase. If not, at least make sure to always take down first the lightning head. It's the most dangerous one.
Only a problem if you don't have strong armor... if you have a level 3 Miner armor set, you can laugh at the attacks of even the King Gleeok as they do quite literally a quarter of a heart per hit.
I remember thinking Gleeoks were just gonna be dungeon bosses or something. When I saw King-fucking-Ghidorah roaming the woods, I had to re-evaluate my whole gameplan.
I found my first one on a bridge ans kind of just avoided it. I haven't even done 20 shrines yet and I don't feel to confident about taking on a boss that flies. I haven't found the one in this video, but I realized that there were multiple when I noticed an adjective in front of its name, and found an ice one up north.
I remember riding my horse to Lake Hylia to get to the Faron Region, and I come across this and I'm like "WHAT THE FUCK" I ended up jumping off the bridge, and climbed up to the other side using the pillars and called my horse over
It only took me 3 tries and I had already got close on the second The trick is ice keese eyes and fodder shields Just keep shielding the Lazer Beam thingies and freeze all 3 heads and if you're fast enough you can even skip the faze where they fly up and shoot mega fireballs Otherwise you just have to keep shielding until the fire Ball reaches the ground then use the updraft
The Gleeoks and Gloom Hands are what we get when we complain that the overworld bosses are too easy.
At least the gloom hands and phantom Ganon are easy after the first 2 times defeating them 😭

Assuming you prepare for both the lynel is harder cause you can cheese them with rocket shields. Without any prep tho the gleeok is much harder

Dont forget to get at least two upgrades for your sets. That makes you pretty much immune to their strongest attacks.

For good bows you should go to the lynel coliseum in the depths
keese eyeballs add a homing effect to arrows, its the only thing that saved me gleeoks are so relentless

I usually make 4-5 rocket shields upfront, and bring 2 lynel bows and a lot of kees eyes and at least 2 high powered weapons

It only took me 3 tries and I had already got close on the second
The trick is ice keese eyes and fodder shields
Just keep shielding the Lazer Beam thingies and freeze all 3 heads and if you're fast enough you can even skip the faze where they fly up and shoot mega fireballs
Otherwise you just have to keep shielding until the fire Ball reaches the ground then use the updraft
