My aunt collects them, so I save any I find for her. They're lovely. Sometimes I still get them back as change. I can't believe what people try to sell these for online. Thank you for being honest and trustworthy, Daniel.

I love it when you search for something on eBay and every other listing describes the item as "rare" and "valuable" yet, the search returns 347 of these rare widgets for sale.

Grew up in Philly but moved to GA in 1966 for college. I went home for the Bi-Centennial. So funny. People were selling sealed, plastic gallon jugs for $1.00. “PURE, BI-CENTENNIAL PHILADELPHIA AIR”. People were buying it as fast as the vendors could fill them up. Just sharing.

I like what the old coin dealer I know told me: "What ain't rare now never will be" followed by "what wasn't rare when it was minted will never be rare either" followed by "oh yeah, and just because it's rare don't mean it's valuable neither." LOL

Off topic here, sorry. I came into a situation where I needed to sell some silver. I decided on selling my rounds and a few bars to make 50 ounces. About 20 ounces were generic, and the rest were Eagles and Maple Leaves, plus some assorted stuff. I did the math before I went in and knew at spot it was worth about $880 dollars. I was paid $850 dollars which I though was fair. What did it for me was when the person helping me asked, from what I gathered was an owner, what to do with the foreign coins and he looked and said I had one that was worth a dollar over spot. He could have nickel and dimed me, but he gave it what it was worth … that impressed me.

I went to Etsy to check out what's for sale. LOL. One for 50K, another for a really good deal for 10K. I just hope nobody is stupid enough to fork over that much money for a coin as common as beach sand.

I love these coins, just because. May not be worth that much, but I love them. I believe what you say. You have taught me a lot.

I have a bicentennial quarter with an error on both sides and it seems although it could've only happened in the mint. I am too uneducated to determine what the error is or if it is in fact even an error at all. If you have the time, is there a way I can send you a picture of each side for some advice?

The 1st video (2:40) mentions a variety to look for. On the Ds, there are RPMs & DDOs to look for.
