it's been a year since I cut my hair and I LOVE it! when my hair cut was new I used to look for "hairstyles for short hair" here on CZcams but every video was for below the shoulder length and I was like: THAT'S NOT SHORT HAIR!!!!!! I was just giving up and thinking that cute hairstyles were just for long hair but suddenly I found your channel and I fell in love❤ we exactly the same length and since then my hair is always on point even if it's short!

Love this video, and I'm about to go watch the others. I have hair that's about the same length as yours but I typically don't do much with it because I don't really have any ideas of what to do. I also get headaches often, and especially when I try to put my hair into a ponytail or tight hairstyle so when I actually find tutorials for my hair length, they end up all giving me headaches. I'm going to have to try this sometime, and I might start straightening my hair to see if that helps out with how tight I have to pull my hair for a ponytail and things. I typically just curl my hair with a no heat overnight method, because it's super easy to do; but if it means I can do more things than just leave it down then I might as well try it haha

Golden Carter yes I think braiding would totally be easier if you know how to braid, but I cut my hair short with a lot of layers and braids no longer stay in my hair! It's so sad but this way of fake braiding works better on my hair!
haha it's actually not that bad - I love these styles for when I don't want to braid my hair or I want a really secure hairstyle for the gym, workout, running errands or a party where I will be dancing all night long haha
These are just a great alternative for different braids if you wanted to try something fun and different and that will last a long time :)

My hair is way too short to braid because it doesn't stay the right way. This is for SHORT hair lol. It doesn't hurt your scalp if you don't do it tight. 😁

+Molly R. Haha I feel you! Dividing the sections takes a little bit longer - but it's for those that can't get the hang of braiding. All of the sections are already there for you to start the Faux Braid... it's a different alternative that actually looks like an intricate Braid.

All great hair ideas!! My hair is pretty long but I’m a huge fan of pull through braids even if they take a little longer to do...just because I can be sure they won’t fall out and can stay in for days and still look awesome ❤️
This seems way more complicated than just doing a regular braid.
Jesi Lyn Probably, but it's more secure for short hair and layers so you don't have loose ends poking out randomly because they're too short to keep in your hand as you get lower.
Good point, also wouldn't be able to pull braids for volume & style as much with short hair if a regular braid was done.
If you know how to braid and braid very well... This technique is not to replace the regular braids. I made this video to give you inspiration if you don't know how to braid or struggle with placing your hands and fingers while braiding or you simply want to try something really cool that looks like a braid but it's not. These styles are a lot more secure for shorter hair and especially with layers. It will stay in place all day and all night long! I can vouch for that lol

Jesi Lyn I don't understand why you think it's more complicated... It's hard for me to braid my hair because I have arthritis and my hands are the worst. This is a lot easier for me because I don't have to hold my hair the whole time and stuff. It's a lot easier haha.
