Welcome! Who is Diana Ankudinova?
Diana was born in May 2003 in the Far East of Russia. She didn't have a happy start in life. The woman who gave birth to her had many pregnancies, only Diana survived ... and she abused the child and tried to drown it. One day this 3 year old child was found at a bus stop with a broken collarbone and taken to an orphanage.
There she finally found love ... by Irina Ponik, a massage therapist who treated the children from the children's home. Diana came to a poor but loving family when she was 5 years old.
Diana spoke badly, cried a lot and was still very scared, but she could all sing songs from cartoons. A doctor recommended singing lessons. And so, the singing teacher Elena Kazantseva discovered Diana's talent. And all started …
Diana has something primal, mystical, but also sensitive and sensual in her voice and she lives her songs. Diana is a dramatic contralto, the rarest and lowest female voice type (her range C3-D6). Diana's voice also sometimes has a polyphonic undertone. You hear: Her voice sounds an octave below the singing voice. (But not everyone can hear that.) Diana also has a perfect pitch and her sense of rhythm was exceptional even as a little girl.
Diana impressed with her talent in over 50 national and international competitions.
In 2018 and 2019 Diana entered a unique competition and won twice. This project is unique in the world, an international TV- competition: 'You are Super', especially for adopted and orphaned children.
The winner of the season will be determined by a 6-day public vote and the final took place in the Kremlin Palace and her videos were uploaded to CZcams and soon she had millions of fans.
The project producers help the finalists start their studies and encourage their creativity. Diana won a scholarship.
Igor Krutoy, here as a juror, gave her a small apartment (37m²/398,26 ft²) in Moscow. There, in the small flat she lives with her mother and grandmother and was able to begin her vocal training with the best teachers.
2020 Diana graduated from high school with honors as an external student a year earlier than it is 'normal'. That alone shows how smart and hardworking she is.
She applied to music colleges and was rejected (examiners suspected she had a voice defect). But she is totally normal and healthy. Now she is a student at the university, at the legendary Russian State Institute for Theater and Variety Arts. Diana is Russian , she sings Russian , English , French , German , Spanish and Arabic , she is a Really rare True Contralto which is the lowest female voice , she also sings Polyphonic and overtones .
At the age of about 13 she auditioned on a show for children and sang/yodeled. It is called 'Jodel Time'...really extraordinary...the audience absolutely loved her but the judges didn't turn their chairs around, even though they were obviously fascinated by her voice. They asked her to sing something else and she sang a French song acapella...but she was not chosen. What did she do? As the audience cheered her, she went up and gave the judges a hug! Completely captivating performer, even at the age of 13!
And also you could do 'Wicked Game' and 'Rechenka' both at the age of about 15 in singing contests... utterly spectacular voice! Also she sings a beautiful and uplifting 'Into the Sky!' Enjoyed your comments on her....the background is as extraordinary as the performer. At the age of three in the middle of Russia's far northern Winter she was abandoned, injured, at a bus stop where she was rescued and sent to an orphanage. At the age of 5 she was still traumatized and unable to speak properly. Diana was sent for singing lessons because it was thought that this might help her learn to speak without impediment.

Я лично знала еще трех человек с таким же голосом ( тембром ) как у Дианы, двое взрослых женщин и девочка-ребенок ( всех в разное время и они не связаны между с собой), но взрослые не занимались никогда музыкой и даже не пробовали петь.... а девочку я потеряла из виду, их семья переехала...Но у нее был такой ШИКАРНЫЙ и МНОГООБЕЩАЮЩИЙ голос, хотя не думаю, что ей тоже могли дать музыкальное образование! а СПОСОБНОСТИ ПРОЯВЛЯЮТСЯ ТОЛЬКО В ДЕЯТЕЛЬНОСТИ - это закон психологии!!! т.е. узнать КТО НА ЧТО СПОСОБЕН, можно только поставив людей в РАВНЫЕ УСЛОВИЯ... так что вот так. НЕ попади Диана в семью, в которой внимательно отнеслись к ее ЖЕЛАНИЮ, в первую очередь петь, что и дало возможность выявить ее способности и РАЗВИТЬ ИХ, и не знал бы ее никто, и не пела бы она может быть даже дома в ванной, как некоторые.. Именно дядя Саша заметил ТАЛАНТ малышки и посоветовал Ире, чтоб она занималась развитием врождённых способностей дочки.
Естественно, ДИАНЕ повезло с настоящей любящей МАМОЙ, которая свою жизнь полностью отдаёт Диане.
ГОЛОС КОНТРАЛЬТО, кроме ДИАНЫ, Има Сумак, есть также у Шер, Шакиры и ещё у нескольких ПЕВИЦ в мире, где-то около 8-9 ПЕВИЦ. Как-то один комментатор рассказывал, сколько, но я не запомнил. Имеется ввиду известные ПЕВИЦЫ. Конечно, на ЗЕМНОМ ШАРЕ, может быть, ещё есть несколько тысяч девушек, женщин, имеющих такой ГОЛОС, но о них никто не знает, так как их никогда не обучали, не выявляли их способности, это никому не надо.
Что касается количества населения на ЗЕМНОМ ШАРЕ , то оно составляет 7,5 млрд. Человек. Только в одном Китае их 1,5 млрд, в Индии - 1,1 млрд.

Unbelievable for an 18 yr old female. Diana has a POWERHOUSE of a voice. She sounds like a 30 yr old. I can't imagine what she will sound like when she really is 30. I'm sure by that age she will be famous worldwide. Hopefully she's does concerts hear in the US. I would LOVE to hear her in-person at the Hollywood Bowl some time in the future.

Couple of points ..
(1) You got the last name pretty well .. An-ku-Dee-Nova is close. Her first name is pronounced similarly .. DEE-ana
(2) She is from waaay East. Look at a world map and find Japan. Look north to where North Korea, China and Russia meet. That is where she was born .. in a town a bit North of Vladivostok ..
(3) Age .. she 18. Will turn 19 May 31
She makes the song sound more like the way a stalker might say it: “I can’t help falling in love with you! Like I CAN’T help it! Can’t stop it,”
It sounds kinda creepy and sinister and I love it.
