Steve, Another new bit of information. I had assumed Angelina recorded this song with the orchestra at Abby Road.... Just a wonderful arrangement. So professionally performed... She did that little "Bad Romance" TikTok piece there with Redone a while back. So, I know she's done some work there. Only the best for AJ.👣👣💕💕💕
It's a Beautiful thing and the fact Angelina and the orchestra were recorded at operate locations is even more extraordinary , we know Angelina thrives with a live orchestra. . Could possibly been even more Beautiful if that's possible. Thanks John Love and Kindness Steve
This is NOT an easy song to sing, from the complex and unusual melody, to the phrasing and timing, not to mention the old style of the language from Robert Burns. Despite all of this, Angelina, forever a stellar storyteller, was able to give a brilliant interpretation of the song, and to very effectively infuse it with the profound emotion it is meant to convey. This takes a phenomenal amount of talent and musical genius, made even more incredible considering her age at the time. I greatly doubt that there are many adult, experienced singers who could even come close to touching this level of mastery. Also, the complex, multitextured, bewildering beauty of her voice is clearly demonstrated here. Kudos to Nico for this beautiful piece of work, and for recognizing that Angelina was the only artist worthy of it. I think this was also a great honour and compliment to Angelina. Unfortunately, several reviewers have reacted to this performance without knowing the background, and therefore were not able to fully appreciate it. I read in a comment that one reviewer even criticized the "bad grammar"! (I don't know if that is true, since I did not see that particular reaction myself, and I apologize to that reviewer if this is not the case). Thank you again.
