I'm very interested in this especially knowing it's the same chips from the Tears for Fears gear, which are the standard loaded sounds for that Linn model. The fact that it can sample in 8 and 12-bit is definitely pricking up my ears, that's a pretty smart feature and I assume there are more. This looks very exciting!
Love the look! Have been impatiently waiting since it was first announced. I couldn’t wait any longer once I got a brand new Roland TR8S for only $550. So I don’t think it would make sense to buy it other than for the retro looks because I can load linn drum samples into the tr8s.
I wish they would have gotten Roger Linn on board like Dave Smith did. I actually think he would have been happy to be a part. It might mean some money going to Roger Linn but that would be appropriate.
@@intromix Hah, I actually bought the RD-8 about a week ago 😂I'm not super into drum machines, but there is something about the sound of these classic 80's machines. Minor cosmetic gripe, but I really wish they had kept the white buttons on the mkII though 😔
Hey Todd. I doubt I'll be getting it. It's a classic for sure, but I ve never really been into sampled drum machines. I have an old TR626, and plenty of vst drums for that. I'm waiting for the RD-78.
Yo Todd, love seeing who's talking to me, keep that $h#t up brother! For a while, I thought "Ice-T" might've had a channel and been into synths lol. You honestly do sound like him a bit, n that's not a bad thing lol. My old band opened up for Body Count years ago, but never gotta chance to meet the dude, bc he avoided everyone til showtime, then ran back to the bus afterwards. I had to get patted down n searched Everytime I brought equipment into the joint, that sucked........Anyways, still interested in the LM drum, please keep us updated on this thing. I think I've been waiting 4-5 years on this thing to finally be a reality. Waited so long for it, Ive kinda given up...still want one, just not as bad as I originally did I suppose. Thanks for the update dude!
The best thing about it is that it has 16 individual outputs, plus the main outputs. Perfect for those of us who love mixing on analog desks. With my MPC X, I hooked up a Behringer 1820 audio interface and their ADAT expander to it, which now give me 18 analog outs. With the LMDrum, those extra outputs are already built in! Plus, the sampler is 12 bit which should give it that fat 80s sound. If it also lets you sequence external MIDI gear, that would make it even better. When it's available, Behringer should do a bundle deal and include one of their mixers with it. Or even a Midas DM16.
I dont really "need" it but will definitely get one when available. On another topic Todd, whats your top 3 of behringer monos at this time? Keep the videos comming, thanks!
I owned 2 OG Linn Drums and currently have one with midi and F*** YEAH I’ll be buying the Behringer!!
Thing looks gorgeous. Might be my 1st Berringer pick up. Pure banger.

Didnt they say that 2 years ago it was almost available? Behringer brand is frustrating some times..nice return of a clasic machine.
Looking forward to this. I keep being tempted by their 808 clone.
As an OG 808 and Linn owner, get the Behringer 808, you won’t regret it

It looks great but I don't see myself getting it because I simply don't have the space!

Thanks for the info, bro. Depending on the price, I might get one 😊
