yo guys, Jim is the king of the doors and of rock but stop being ignorant in saying the doors shouldn't play anymore, WHY NOT? It's actually pretty interesting hearing other voices to their incredible songs! MUSIC is a gift, it should always be played, plus The Doors are amazing musicians!

i think creed did a fantastic job on this song and he really got into his character, u can say so....
Scott Stapp is more of a baritone singer like Morrison so his voice goes well with this song.

I always liked the doors, but it wasn't until they were suddenly into playing with new singers that I've come to realize how extraordinary Jim was... I have yet to see/hear anyone that even comes close.

I've never understood the hate for Creed. I'm not a big fan of Higher, and With Arms Wide Open is okay, but the rest of their entire discography is, in my opinion, great.

Did not listen to The Doors a lot but like Stapp's version of it!
You should add that to your enjoyment too! He does a very good job, but listening to the old master Jim Morrison would help you understand just how special The Doors really were. Morrison was sort of an insane musical genius who was the face, heart, and soul of their identity...
guys calm down you got to like the fact that they want to play this song give them some credit for likin a great band you can never expect anything to be as good or even near the original

Ray's got a Gibson G101, Fender Rhodes Piano, another keyboard with it looks like a sampler attached, and in another video, he had a Vox Continental, with a Rhodes on top, and the Gibson on his side... He sure had a lot of stuff.
Angelo Barberra is on bass. He used to play with Ray and Robby,but his fear of flying caused him to quit and now Phil Chen is playing bass for them.

@Keysforjourney - MOST big music these days are "housetracks" - or at least sound controlled as if it were in the studio. The days of a single amp, and everyone controlling their own volume are over. All music is fed through a single board (sometimes 36 channels) and the sound is actually created by the board tech, who unfortunately never gets credit. They make or break how good a song sounds. The drums, bass, guitar, vocals, chimes, piano, cowbell, EVERYTHING, is controlled by the sound tech.
although no one can ever completely replace the Lizard king himself this guy scott didnt too horrible of a job :).....I'm also a big time jim morrison and the doors fan andI think its ok to like both!
I love this song. It makes me to travel in my mind to a world where everything is cool and fresh. It was popular by the 70's in Mexico. I think this performing is excellent and the Doors won't cover Morrison voice anymore. Morrison is unique

well all of the post grunge singers appear to be very useful when it comes to covering morrison, all those great bariton singers. they copied eddie vedder but he was inspired by morrison, so they sound quite similar

I wis there were more than one version of Riders with Jim singing. It really is a beautifully mysterious special song. Last song recorded/on the album before Jim's death, just one version etc.
