Bill Evans should be regarded among the greatest pianists of history. He played jazz in so higher level and his interpretations of the standards are perfect in a jazz context. He has great compositions and a great legacy in music that goes beyond jazz style.

Over the years I’ve searched far and wide for all the Bill Evans content I could hope to find on CZcams and tonight I discovered this one for the first time, another brilliant gem 👌

"Quiet Now" Haunting, beautiful, moving. Every song he touched turned into a thing of beauty, even the ones that might sound maudlin and corny done by someone else.

According to Wikipedia drumming master Marty Morell was the longest standing drummer in the Bill Evans Trio for eight years.

My favorite jazz pianist. I love great Oscar Peterson and Art Tatum and so many more, but Bill Evans' playing creates such an enjoyable atmosphere that evokes so much emotion. He has technique to spare, but uses it sparingly. He was always in the moment and created such beautiful music. I doubt there will be another.

He did have a way of making ever piano sound like the same one. Technique, what did Miles say:like waterfalls

The way he leans over the keys coaxing them to melodic polyphony is astonishing.❤🎉😊
