We went to Blackpool to c friends for the weekend booked tickets to see Joe he looked so poorly, but what a fantastic show was in teats at the end want a voice he had wish I could have seen him again, rest in peace

I had never heard of him. What a brilliant performer. He fought so hard to live for many years. But cancer took him in the end, throat cancer, it always comes back. Lurking somewhere waiting to resurface again! He died on 3rd August 2019. 64. RIP Joe.

Wow!!!! What a voice - and he lives over here in Blackpool. A tragedy he isn't better known. There were moments on here when he reminded me of Matt Monroe, whom I once had the privilege of backing... happy days.

I used to watch him on the TV many years ago, but have only in the last couple of years found out how many of Joe's concerts and songs there are on CZcams.
On my very first visit to Blackpool with my friend this year, we visited the Joe Longthorne Museum.
What an amazing experience it was.
And hearing from people there what a lovely man he was just made our holidsy perfect.
