    Carl, I notice that some wheel adapters have a lip around the hub opening and some don't. What are the pros and cons of this if the adapter is a precise fit onto the hub ? Thanks, Ken

    very helpful thanks. My oddity was the rear chassis after welding being too offset for appearance to the front. The adapters happen in many unthinkable scenarios.

    Can I use 5x100 to 5x112 pattern? Instead of 5x105 to 5x112. Beck have 2017 chevy cruze lt hatchback. And it says I have 5x105 pattern. And my wheels is 5x112.

    What do I have to do to switch from a 16.50 rim to 16 in. rim,since the don't make a16.50in tire anymore, can a spacer adapter fix the problem.

      @SummitRacing  Před 4 lety

      Hi Rich, No adapter or spacer should be needed. You just need to look for 16” wheels with the proper bolt pattern and offset for your vehicle application. As with any new wheel, you should always test fit one to verify brake clearance and fit prior to mounting the tires. Thanks for watching!

    Do Nissan Xterra 2000 wheel spacers need a center hub

    • @NorCalExplorer-JS
      @NorCalExplorer-JS Před 5 lety

      hub centric is the way to go so the wheel is centered correctly. I am no expert, but the research I have done makes hub centric and proper torquing down of the ALL lug nuts with lock tight for the nuts holding down the spacer to be the way to go. I have a 2001 xterra and planing on running 1" spacers to correct the off set of +25 toyota rims that I want to use. Stock rims are off set +0.

      Vidde H bmw?
      You will find that most spacers under 12mm do not have a hub centric wheel hub. Raceland has 10mm and up spacers that have them.
      I believe Turner also sells a hub centric adapter, so if spacers don’t have the ring, you can use the adapters.
      If you’re installation is a bit unique, like let’s say a 72.1mm bore wheel on the e36 74.1 hub (been a while numbers may be off), you can buy rings that fill in the gap and reduce wheel wobble. The rings are like $12 on eBay! I run BBS Rc090 which is a bbs made oem BMW wheels but I run it on an e36 not an e39, so I have to use the adapters

      No. The "R stands for Rim size. To change that you will need new rims of your desired size

    Minute 1:14 - - given Exposed Thread Length = 1inch; knurl diameter of 0.60 inch; and thread size of 1/2 inch (irrelevant if I can get matching lug nuts that will go onto wheel stud....... if you can find one of these you are better than I am! Find my into at CountyRealty dat comm I need to make sure these studs will work with your part number TRD-3603; which was part of a quote #1382796. I need to make positive the stud I seek is not too long to fit inside the ADAPTER. A 1:1 adapter I found is here; and I need to make certain the lugs will fit inside the wells provided. store.gaugemagazine.com/4-x-4-50-to-4-x-4-50-wheel-spacer/

    False info on studs bearing loads!!!!
    Theres no need for hub centric spacers when your after market wheels has a bigger bore. And hub centric ring bare no weight on then its just to aid install.
    The load from a wheel is transferred to the axle/hub through the friction of the clamped joint, not through the wheel stud. A wheel stud can only bend if the lug nuts are not properly torqued, in which case the wheel is about to fall off, anyway.
    The Physics of Keeping the Wheels On
    As long as the wheel, hub, and spacer are stiff enough to prevent flexing and loss of clamp force, the cause of most wheel stud failures is under tightened lug nuts (not enough clamping force) or over tightened lug nuts (the stud has been stretched past it's elastic limit, so the clamping force goes away). Therefore, properly installed wheel spacers are perfectly safe.

    It is a pity that such a PROFESSIONAL did not say anything about the impact of spacers on the geometry of the suspension and on the life of the bearings. But I understand that the film is directed to those who have already decided and want to have this product. For Carl, I have a suggestion - make the next movie about the ends of the exhaust pipe. What is important when deciding whether it should be round, square or oval. I wonder how this school did such a specialist ...
