I ended up here trying to find what John Misch uses to make his guitar sound so realistically like a bass for looping performances. If you finger pick the bassline and have the right EQ on your amp, it looks like you can nail a good bass sound

Confused a little..... do you not have any sound at all when the pedal is turned off?
So if you want to lay down bass loops you have to turn off the dry sound first and then lay down the bass then turn down the bass and turn the dry back up to play over the top?

my nano just started clicking and doesn't seem to want to work. is it bricked?

it was working fine, i connected it to a MXR iso-brick and it still worked, but now it just clicks.
