Martha was unintentionally killed by doctor, and lawyer wanted a revenge, he came in manor not for money but for it. in his diary he says what love meant nothing for him before he met Martha. also after discovering what Emily was the one who killed his beloved one, lawyer says "Martha, see you in hell", which means he knows what he had done terrible things and is going to do them again. sorry, i just really like lawyer as an antagonist character, but hate him as a human being ówò

I don't know how this happened at all, but nowadays, you make one mistake and you lose a game as Hunters. Survivors are really more stress-free and can recover from mistakes much easier, you have to be the cream of the crop at which hunter you pla- Oh, you meant lore-wise...this is awkward...

As a dual-faction main, I agree that if you make a mistake as hunter, it's very easy to lose the whole match. Survivors (while can also immediately lose a match if they make a mistake) can recover easier if they have good communication and coordinated teammates.

I mean while yes hunters should try not to make a lot of mistakes, don't forget that hunters have opportunites to correct them either by luck or they did something smart beforehand. Survivors can have opportunotes to fix their mistakes too but they have to play to a health bar and if they make too many mistakes and dont correct them, they're out of the game and have to rely on their teammates to correct those mistakes

Don’t forget that Black & White Guard was government officials and the « assault of the governor’s son » they’re trying to discuss was falsely accused towards Wujiu (black guard) by their boss.
Bi’an was so loyal towards Wujiu that he wanted to share the blame, since they know that it’s a false accusation, they wanted to discuss it and find some evidence to release Wujiu from death penalty (yes the punishment for this false assault was death), but Wujiu died from the flood instead.
Their story is one of the saddest.
Dream Witch and Hastur is just a gods, nothing to talk about.
Dream wich is an interesting one she just came in to manor simply bc it's like a game to her. Her servants are the cool ones they where once Childeren that had strong mental abilities and talented so they were able to see her so dream wich make drive them crazy and make them her servants and consumes them until nothing left of them (servants are girl and boys)

i read somewhere that robbie got lost in the woods and someone random had chopped his head off and placed the axe beside him- so the next following day when kids found him, they saw the bloody axe and reported the body.
Its a story made by the orphanage, he got his head chopped by a window frame, someone found his body, took him to the forest and put an axe there to cover up the poorly made windows they had.
I love hunter backstories more than survivor ones but sometimes I feel like they make the backstories too vague, too many unanswered questions is what I mean

I believe in Antonio’s deduction and trailer video that the tampering of his violin was purposefully done to break three of his strings and force him to play the single string song.
In the hunter trailer, his strings break, and he is forced to play with only one string. In one of his deductions, Antonio has a mental note on the sheet music for a single string song reading something along the lines of “Don’t play”. Likely because he doesn’t want to be reminded of his life trapped with his family.
The deductions don’t specify who would have done it, but they did seem to want to push Antonio to play the song, but mentions “he’s too proud to play it”. So they sabotaged his violin so it would break during a performance, forcing him to play the single string song.
I’m not too sure about when the devil part comes in, so I’m guessing that goes along with the sabotage part (since Antonio is basically a puppet).

Ok so what actually happened (or what was heavily implied) is that Antonio sold his soul to escape the royal prison. They wouldn’t let him out unless he played a song on a single string, which in his deductions I believe mentions he doesn’t have the skill to perform. And the next deduction mentions the song that says the note “do not play”. So he must’ve struck a deal with the devil to get out, which would have involved using one of the demons songs. Someone sabotaged him in order for him to play the song again mid performance, which is what we’re shown in the trailer, and is what led to him being controlled by the demon strings. Antonio, out of sheer desperation and bad decisions, doomed himself from the start.

His description seems to contradict with his deductions. It's possible that he got decapitated by the window frame, but someone put his body under the juniper tree after that.
In all honesty both could have happened, someone working for the orphanage could have found his body. So, not wanting to dirty the orphanage’s image, they dragged the body out into the woods and claimed it to be a mystery.
Actually -it was probably Emily dyers colleagues. They destroyed the orphanage she worked at due to some sort of incident. All the kids went missing except him. (Don’t take my word for it, I’m not completely surej

The fact he never has permission to control his whole life is even sadder...
• Hell Ember burned himself with his factory because everything got taken away from him (money, wife and child)
• Smiley Face's rivals drove him to madness, also burning his face with acid and destroying his circus.
• Gamekeeper's beloved moose was killed by poachers, which was used to cruelly turn him into a "Minotaur", cutting his tongue and locking the moose's head to his own using a beartrap.
• The Ripper was actually suffering from a personality disorder, where one side of his personality was innocent, even if the other side was a murderous.
• Soul Weaver was born without arms and legs, but her father sold her as a circus freak.
• Geisha was murdered by her husband's father, due to his opposition to their love, while her husband was lied to about her disappearance.
• Black Guard drowned to death, which led White Guard to commit suicide due to severe grief from losing his brother.
• Joseph became obsessed with capturing souls in photographs because of the pain he felt after losing his twin brother.
• Mad Eyes took the blame and felt extreme guilt for failing to protect the family he was serving.
• Axe boy was just a poor orphan boy who was BEHEADED WITH AN AXE (LIKE WHY?!)
• Luchino suffered from an experiment that went wrong, transforming him into something he's not.
• Bloody Queen actually cared for her people, but evil rumors depicted her as a tyrant; her son was taken away from her and she was executed after the French revolution
• Guard 26 was robotic creation who became self-aware, but his maker hated him for that because he no longer works efficiently.
• Disciple was blamed and murdered for a plague that took over her city, just because her eyes were strange and different.
• Violinist's talent was abused by a royal family, who also slandered his name, and tampered his violin with evil magic for the devil to possess him.
• Sculptor's obsession with her sculptures caused her own family to despise her talent and mistreat her, which accidentally led to her disability.
HUNTERS ARE THE REAL VICTIMS HERE. We should offer them more Terror shocks as survivors :

Okay Jack's built story was actually very clever. I never knew he had DID and generally people can't tell from what meets the eye. Though i've never seen any signs of him possibly switching or anything but hey. The reputation is fairly realistic, so he's fairly okay. Im going to refer to in-game jack as his alter from now on though probably

It has been implied that someone stole Mike’s acid as during the start of the fire he was out buying ingredients.
At least sergis dead cause well it was implied he was abusive to Margaret harming her and preventing her from writing letters to her family or going back to them(Being the person who manipulated her when she was young to run away from her family in lakeside village with him but maybe thats kinda a blessing in disguise especially with what happened to the place and her family with hastur).I think sergi was the one who stole the acid and when smiley face saw margarets wounds he went to confront him and thats when sergi splashed his face with acid in the fight the acid may have ignited the fire for the massacre i think it was sergi who killed those people not wanting any witnesses or people with alibis to incriminate him and then started the fire? And thats when smiley face persumebly found his bodymor killed sergi and took.....his face.Uh i wonder if margaret returns his feelings for her as he kinda freed her in a way.

made me kinda sad when alter egos execution theme played when robbies backstory showed. the theme is kinda cute and childish like how poor robbie is just a kid, and neither alter ego or robbie did anything wrong to deserve death :(
oh and also, he actually was found under a tree in the forest headless holding a bloody axe.

I’m pretty sure that Sergi was the one who burned Joker’s face
Yidhra was always a god but her follower was one of Luchino's students/assistants that helped him clean his lab. Her mother was very ill and her father was doing sleep studies because of an odd dream describing a fiery cave and a flight of stairs (Im not sure if this is correct but its implied that Yidhra took him and made him a follower). The follower saw a four limbed snake which she called evil, and saw it crawl into her mother's room. Luchino caught the snake and did research on it and got bitten by it, which is basically his backstory but the follower was taken in her sleep by yidhra who had come to her in a dream.
I just pieced all of Yidhra's deductions together so I left out a few details but correct me if Im wrong about about anything ^^
