I am going to say the quiet part out loud!! I am a teacher assistant of first grade! People don’t want to be teachers anymore because the children are not nice! They are not well behaved anymore . Out of my 15 kids, only like 4 are well behaved! I’m not kidding!!! I work in an urban area and literally the whole school is misbehaved so many teachers have walked out 😢
It always matter what your tea her looks like. Don't fall I to that lie. Black kids need to see black male and female teachers in the classroom. Other students do too. As a black male teacher, I have seen the difference personally.
So how many Asian teachers are there? Or do you only care about YOUR people? How about Latino or Native American teachers? Oh, that's right, it's only about you. In your district what percentage of students are black? And what percentage of the total staff do you two represent?
Start paying a living age to be a teacher and more will consider it. Babysitters charge $10 an hr per kid. So by not having a living wage you are preventing a whole bracket of people from considering this career.

Teachers are OVERPAID as is. Heck, they still get pensions!
