    Raul could you help me? I just purchased an A166. However it doesnt work and im afraid its fried? Red stripe down for that one? I didnt see any labeling.. Are there fixes?

    I'm totally lost here.... What's going on? What is the purpose of the A-166? Can't this just be done thru a divider? What exactly do the binary logic circuits do in this case?
    1.0V --> Input 1| AND Output = ?
    1.5V --> Input 2| OR Output = ?
    0.8V --> Input 3| XOR Output = ?
    Q1: What comes out? Or is the A-166 just a technical mathematical divider supplying random outs?
    Q2: Do you NOT know what's to come of each output? This is where I'm totally lost. Excuse me for my ignorance...
    Q3: I guess I'm also wondering if these triggers can be mathematically compiled with a plan, and not done on the fly?
    Q4: And also if these circuits create a drop in voltage, post-out?
    The reasons for these questions don't really have anything to do with creating beats... Instead I'm curious if these units will work for a scientific project.

      Hi Robert, do a Google search on "Boolean logic" :-) Modules like the A-166 are like very simple computers and when certain input conditions are true it will send out it's own gate/trigger. These functions just look at two conditions, on/off (high/low) voltages, and always just send out the same, nothing in-between. They are a great way to combine multiple different gates and clocks from several sources to create rhythm patterns or to fire off events at a certain time. It's not like "mixing" where the inputs are added up.
