    As a newly 18yr, senior in high school, the thought of dating a 14yr is just...so nasty. They are on a totally different level of maturity and understanding. I don’t care how “mature for my age” you think you are, you’re not. This is why so many past victims of grooming only realize when they’re older and have that older perception, that they were taken advantage of. It’s normal for kids/teens to have crushes on adults, it is *not* normal for the adults to have them back

      The show was so much bettter, between Lizzie and Even Stevens ( Both shows should have had a crossover special, it would have been so much better than both movies) , I don’t know what it was about Disney Channel in the early 2000s and turning simple, enjoyable, slice of life sitcoms into these movies with over the top and unrealistic plots, Lizzie was a bigger offender since it felt more like a promotion of Hilary Duff’s music career than a proper finale of the series, oh well I guess not every movie follow up to a TV show I enjoyed as a kid can be as good as the first Spongebob Movie or Kim Possible: So The Drama, Even the Zack And Cody movie absolutely sucked

    • @someothername7886
      @someothername7886 Před 3 lety +18

      @@duskcrumbz7375 The reason why the ages are off, or why young adults tend to be casted to play high schoolers/middle schoolers is usually because child actors have unions behind them to prevent the actors from being overworked. Child actors are legally only allowed to work a certain amount of hours a day and, along with that, a significant amount of time on set has to be put towards their education. Because of these restrictions, producers would rather cast young adults that could pass as high school and (sometimes) middle school kids. But yeah, as op said the ages just look way off even if the actors themselves look young. I think Hilary Duff was around 16/17 when this movie actually came out.

      If lizzie was much younger looking like an actual 13 year old and stood next to Paolo, then you will probably see something is wrong. Like aqua marine. The girls are little kids and their crush is probably a college student and they got kissed by him, I was annoyed as a kid.
      I just wish they didn't make it be that lizzie is 13 or even heard that she is one. Because now I see the movie in a completely different light and my childhood is ruind. The only way to escape it is to just imagine her or pretend that she's graduating high school.

They assign the kid a flight attendant that stays with them at the airport and they generally don’t do layovers unless they are older. My friend’s daughter flew alone and had a layover in Atlanta but she was 15. The airport is probably one of the safer places in the world for a kid, to be honest. They’re escorted all the way to the adult that is picking them up, they sit near the flight attendant and they’re on camera the entire time they’re in the airport. I’m very comfortable with my son flying alone when there’s not a pandemic going on.
