Obviously for role players, rings don’t and shouldn’t determine their thanking. But when it comes to the best of the best, the superstars who are the clear leaders of their team, that’s when rings def come into play. It’s all about looking at the whole context. I think comparing rings when it comes to Giannis and harden is very fair. Why? Because both of them had similarly equal chances to win a title as the lead guy. Harden had some great teammates and solid teams around him, Gianni’s had some solid and good teammates around him. Both of them, for a time, were trying to win a ring without joining a super team. Harden got close, but couldn’t get past the warriors ever, even without KD. Giannis got to the ECF, but couldn’t get past. Both had some amazing playoff moments but also had been seen as playoff chokers at times. Well, Harden jumped ship and joined the nets, Giannis resigned with the Bucs and brought in Jrue Holiday. Then Giannis goes out and dominates game 7 while Harden goes scoreless in the 4th and OT after having like 22 through 3. Nets get eliminated even tho harden had KD, Giannis goes on to win a title. Honestly I think comparing rings when it comes to harden and Giannis is one of the most fair places to compare rings. Harden was banged up but he also was healthy enough to score 22 points through 3 qtrs? Giannis was also very banged up through the playoffs but he is mentally and physically tougher, as he has proved time and time again now
