Every morning and night when I brush my teeth, I recite the Apostles creed--in my mind. It's a good reset to remind myself what I believe. No matter what the day has brought or will bring, I set my day and sleep on what I believe.
If I wake at night and can’t go back to sleep I listen to the rosary on youtube. Always helps me get the rest I need. I have a dedicated prayer time every morning including my rosary & then I check for Fr Mark words of wisdom😁
Hi, something you might find interesting. My parish priest told me that if you wake up in the night, pray the Divine Mercy Chaplet for the sick and the dying, especially if you've been woken up between 3.00 and 4.00 am. He said that most souls die during the night and he believes Jesus wakes us to pray for them. If you find you can't go to sleep after that, then pray the rosary. I find most times i can go back to sleep after the Chaplet. I hope this helps.
I say the rosary most days with my sister. I’ve been feeling the nudge so it’s time to continue on with the catechism in a year again. I’ve been also getting the nudge to read the daily readings so this was the reminder I needed. You are an inspiration to so many of us! 🕊🙏

Every morning I wake up feed the cat then start listening to to my Catholic podcasts … morning offering with Father Kirby, Catholic Daily Reflections, Todays Mass Readings, Daily reflections of Divine Mercy, The Best be in a Year, Catechism in a Year, Daily Rosary the if I have time Catholic Radio during the day. I stared this in 2020 and have not stopped after going thru a major conversation from a terrible sinner to a much better Catholic. I’m not telling this to anyone to boast and I’m retired so I certainly have the time. I spent so many years as a cafe Catholic because I simply did not have the knowledge of Catholicism before. Really I hunger for the truth in all aspects of my life. I wish I had started it sooner, I would have been a lot happier sooner. 🙏
I do similar. I feed my cat Cookie and pray the rosary on the catholic crusade app and i listen to fr Mike Schmitz bible in a year. I watch mass from divine mercy shrine in Stockbridge MA. Which is 2pm UK Time ar 3pm watch fr Frank Pavone daily scriptures. Most of my prayers i do online or on my hallow app. Im now in the habit of this routine so helps me be focused on God and mama Mary

Oh Fr. Mark, I’m here to testify that this absolutely works. Especially when your mind and heart are under attack from the enemy. Praying just the first few beads of the rosary will change things. As far as scripture goes, I heard a beloved minister once say “SOAK your mind and heart in the Word of God.” That way we’re able to call on scripture when we most need it, or even if we’re having a great day. Nothing wrong with praying a decade of the rosary dedicated to gratitude. The rosary is our battering ram against the enemy and it works every time. Proverb 3:5-6 good and faithful people. The same can be said for peanut butter and whole wheat bread, which explains why both of these dishes can be incredibly filling without meat.

I have discovered that when I put aside my weaknesses/ temptations and turn to the Lord in prayer or doing something useful, there really is a joy in it, and it makes me aware - like a sudden spark of my true purpose and dignity as a child of God. Oh yes, it’s truly a battle. I am an older person and I have medical issues. I’m fighting the urge to do nothing. But I make sure at least for now that I do as much as I possibly can. I have the Hallow app. Every day, I am definitely into scripture, rosaries, etc. I used to go to daily mass but I can’t do it very easily right now. And it seems like the battle is always there trying to stop me! I watched your movie and it was awesome. I love everything you do that’s nature oriented and outside! To be in God’s creation is very uplifting! Specially if I can’t get to where you are and see it, you show it to us by you being there! wow! Also love your T shirts! My wife and I consecrated ourselves to Our Blessed Mother Mary last year and recite the Rosary together on a daily basis. Meditating on the Holy Rosary reminds us what is most important. Being closer to Jesus.

You’re absolutely right about reading a chapter of the Bible! What helps me too is listening to Gregorian chants of monks or Handel’s Messiah oratorio.
"Unification" brings the joy earthly intermittent. (Could surely do with a greater intake of that "Joy!"). The Sacred Holy Word: through Our Lady's prayer of the Holy Rosary, ❤ is the connection with Holy Mary Our Mother in Heaven and the Holy Sacred Scripture is a special Holy Spiritual union❤ with Jesus, Our Father and the Holy Spirit. Decades ago the Priest noticed that there was "a hunger" for the Word. I see or at least think that the latter will remain yet hopefully being powerfully overtaken by Holy Communion: the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ : the Holy Eucharist. Obviously, both these closenesses to God are represented or displayed by or via the Power of Almighty God, agreed? Yes Lord do bring on the Joy. I already read the Bible every day and pray the Rosary almost every day. I don’t do it to motivate myself, but to understand God more.

Oh yes, it’s truly a battle. I am an older person and I have medical issues. I’m fighting the urge to do nothing.
But I make sure at least for now that I do as much as I possibly can.
I have the Hallow app. Every day, I am definitely into scripture, rosaries, etc.
I used to go to daily mass but I can’t do it very easily right now.
And it seems like the battle is always there trying to stop me!

Enjoyed your movie. Very inspiring. Used to live in Elliot Lake and walk and hike daily in the Wilderness along the Deer Trail etc. awesome time. Now being 80 and in city of London Ontario I seldom able to go for nature walks due to heath. However I am able to find joy and peace in Scripture and the Rosary and in the great outdoors even if it’s only in my back yard. Your nature videos are good medicine and memories. ❤️🙏🏻📿🦋. Thank you 😊

My wife and I consecrated ourselves to Our Blessed Mother Mary last year and recite the Rosary together on a daily basis. Meditating on the Holy Rosary reminds us what is most important. Being closer to Jesus.
I have been married 45 years. I have known my wife for 50 years. I love her dearly, but unfortunately she doesn't know Our Queen Mom like I do. But I haven't given up on her. She now wears the green scapular. There is always hope.

There’s an excellent channel called Sing The Hours that chants the daily lauds and vespers from the Divine Office. It’s beautiful!

You’re absolutely right about reading a chapter of the Bible! What helps me too is listening to Gregorian chants of monks or Handel’s Messiah oratorio.
"Unification" brings the joy earthly intermittent. (Could surely do with a greater intake of that "Joy!"). The Sacred Holy Word: through Our Lady's prayer of the Holy Rosary, ❤ is the connection with Holy Mary Our Mother in Heaven and the Holy Sacred Scripture is a special Holy Spiritual union❤ with Jesus, Our Father and the Holy Spirit.
Decades ago the Priest noticed that there was "a hunger" for the Word. I see or at least think that the latter will remain yet hopefully being powerfully overtaken by Holy Communion: the Body and Blood of Jesus Christ : the Holy Eucharist. Obviously, both these closenesses to God are represented or displayed by or via the Power of Almighty God, agreed?
