I miss when animated intros for films were popular.
I want them to make a comeback, especially with fully hand-drawn animated films in the west.
jenumba Me 2
@@Joshua_Quinzel_Isley The Birds of Prey movie had something like that. It was an interesting sequence, even if the movie was shit lol.
I think even when this was made animated movie intros were old school. I'm sure it was meant to look retro, perfect for John K.
@@525Lines There was a retro revival in the 80's/early 90's, but it still led to a lot of films using it: Honey I shrunk the Kids, Who's that Girl, Christmas Vacation, City Slickers, Mannequin, etc, and I miss them. I was absolutely thrilled when Birds of Prey had an animated intro.
I loved this whole movie, but does anyone else wish this intro could've spawned an animated series of it's own?
I wish it was an animated series.
Oddly enough the one who created this wound up creating one of the 90's most popular animated shows...Ren And Stimpy
@@1CheytownOMG OMG WOW you’re so right I never picked that up til now
@Anthony-F Yep, and he personally the animated Shelly Long character
Fr
Imagine a Ren & Stimpy spin-off where these girls are the main characters
Time now for Ren and Stimpy, knowing what we know now.
John K. had A lot of potential as an animator. Too bad he became nothing more than A creepy kid diddler.
Me gustaria verlo😊
bob camp rules!!
The animation is awesome.
Though John K. maybe a really terrible person in real life.
I do happen to treasure his animation, even in the 90's.
Joshua Sage I'm sad that people credit John K for most of the work that Bob Camp, Jim Smith, and Lynne Naylor actually did, with Bob mainly doing this.
@@punkyagogo Don't forget the overseas studios.
Agreed.
I still get the same rush hearing the intro to this as when I was 9. Still amazing.
Omg me too
Awesome intro. Miss these 80s animated comedy intro's.
Me too.
My childhood right here, this was a movie my mom & I used to watch together all the time! That and Overboard! Such great memories!! Love ya mom!
me and my mom also use to watch it on the VHS which she dont have anymore
Imagine if this was the standered for 2d animation ? I wish
John K (the creator of Ren and Stimpy) did this title sequence.
Mikey D Keyes No, Bob Camp did. John K was just one of the artists; he always just got the credit since Spumco was seen as his studio.
Punkyagogo Bob Camp was the co-creator, John K is the main creator.
@@michaelbolcato192 Also Lynne Naylor. She helped create the characters and designs. And alongside her husband Chris Reccardi (RIP) and Billy West, she had the most successful career after the show.
Oh this is before Ren and Stimpy
This would’ve made a great animated series.
Or an animated movie.
This looks like Ren and Stimpy animation
Parker Bryan This is animated by Bob Camp, who actually did most of the keys for Ren and Stimpy. John K also worked on it, but Bob's the main animator here.
NOOOOOO REALLY NOW
Bob Camp
@@punkyagogo Bob Camp grabbed John ks style perfectly
We were having so much fun, until the plot came along.
The music is now stuck in my head and I am glad
It’s called Make It Big by The Beach Boys btw
Me too.
@@MargotRobbieFan1 I love this song!
I feel like the Hazbin Hotel crew got some inspiration from this bit.
That's just what I was thinking!
I agree
I just said that!
Man i wished animated intros return to movies!!❤
Same here.
These are amazing!
Me too.
I like the end of the 80's and into the 90's that movie come out
I really like this animated opening and the song, it's really good.
I want to see animated intros for live-action films again, hand-drawn style.
I also kind of picture Pitch Perfect 4 to have this kind of opening sequence.
Joshua Sage Can I See it Please And Thank U?
@@MrTimshellscherber Sure,in fact I'll let you know when it's all finished and released.
Joshua Sage Ok
This Intro was the Same Animation as Ren and Stimpy.
You mean by the same artists.
Yes.
It was animated by Spumco
@@ismarymedina9899 Technically Spumco did not exist at this point in history.
The best part of the film
Cute style
Would you want to see a hand-drawn animation stylized opening for a live-action film like the rumored Pitch Perfect 4?
Well, the best way to make it happen for now is to hope for it to happen for sure.
Kudos to Lynne Naylor!
That's all I watched along with the commercials.
Funny this is John Kricfalusi's animation.
The Beach Boys - Big
The Mighty B! Vibes
I saw the movie Troop Beverly Hills. It was really nice. Girl Scouts, Hollywood style!
Intro was a banger 👍👌
Wow, Kent Butterworth who worked on Aosth made this.
SNOOPINGAS USUAL I SEE
The animation style reminds my of the REN and Stimpy show art style.
I just looked it up and it turns out it’s the same guy his name is
John Kricfalusi.
Yeah, this guy is not a good man, in hindsight it is kinda Creepy he is drawing little girls.
He also did The Simpsons Couch Gag, Treehouse of Horror XXVI intro and of course Yogi Bear Cartoon Special.
Best animated movie intros ever
Indeed.
This and “The Pink Panther” are my personal favorite’s.
Kent Butterworth had been a director on _Mighty Mouse: The New Adventures_ alongside Kricfalusi. He is credited as a timing director in season 1.
Mike Kazaleh later did the artwork on the Ren and Stimpy comic.
That Sax-line at 2:00 !
Nobody's talking about the BEACH BOYS???
Amazing group, they did a great job on this song!
This seems like a cute intro!
That’s first-rate! I wish the Spumco Crew were not pariahs, and could make some of the good stuff again.
I think Kricfalusi and his defenders are the only pariahs, rightfully so. But the other artists from that studio are still working in the industry.
Great intro. Also, RIP Jerry Weintraub, Edd Byrnes, and Audra Lindley.
Jerry Weintraub was a good producer of numerous movies (including Ocean's 11 and Nancy Drew)
@@brandonreina5461 Yes, I remember.
@@macbarrpup2451
I know that
This Animation Is Amazing!
Trivia...the one who created this went on to create Ren And Stimpy and did the Shelly Long animation specifically 😊
The one who created this? Did you read the same description I did?
Yep, John K did the Shelley Long animation personally.
I miss animated intro sequences
These animated opening credits sequences need to make a comeback.
Me too.
@@Joshua_Quinzel_Isley Agreed.
Animated By John K. & Billy West & Martin Olson & Vincent Waller & Lynn Naylor & Sherm Cohen
Only two of those people actually animated this. Billy West isn't even an animator.
John K had so much potential with his animations. Too bad he turned out like he is now. Really good animation, though?
I MISS MOVIES LIKE THIS !!!!! NOT THE STUPID SHIT HOLLYWEIRD PUTS OUT NOW
Exactly
Netflix needs classic movies like these, not some annoying Cuties twerking junk
The Loud House Movie may stay on Netflix but Cuties needs to go
Get rid of the godawful Cuties twerking junk
I hear you.
I always felt betrayed as a kid when the cartoon intro faded into a live action movie.
Shelley Long also appeared in The Brady Bunch Movie (1995)
Clueless was also filmed in Beverly Hills
And that movie was directed by Betty Thomas, who played Velda.
I don't know why the creator of the ren and stimpy show would go from a kid-friendly animator to an adult animating monster he currently is now
Ren and Stimpy was barely ever “kid friendly”, but that was the whole point of the cartoon. Even the tamest episodes caused long term psychological damage.
@@torpedoboy4 What are you talking about?
@@AdrianMartinez-en1nb He's exaggerating. He means that although it was marketed as a kids show it had a lot of subversive and deviant content in it. That's why it appealed to multiple age groups.
Langue pal
lol i didnt know spumco have made this
Reminds me of Ren and Stimpy
The animation was made by John Kricfalusi, the man who gave us Ren and Stimpy.
I did not know Jon McClenahan worked with John K. on this. Hard to tell since this looks more like 'Ren & Stimpy' than McClenahan's work for Warner Bros.
Jon Mcclenahan?
As in former USA based studio Startoons, responsible for animated segments on Tiny Toons & even Animaniacs Jon Mcclenahan?!
@@Joshua_Quinzel_Isleyif there’s another John McClenahan in the animation industry, we don’t know him.
I love this. It's excellent. But, at 1:57 I notice the paint ends in the frame. I've seen that once before in John K.'s stuff. Is that a thing with his work? Not a big deal.
I also noticed Phyllis Nefler's hair changes color at 1:01, 1:14, 1:19, 1:37, 1:48, 2:03, and 2:32.
This only reason I know this movie
Ren and Stimpy.
👍🏼👍🏼
I didn't know Tasha Scott Aquilian Soriano, introducing Jenny Lewis, and Into The wilderness were directions!
Bob Camp and his team of animators are wonderful, I hope to see more work, they should work on helluba boss and I'm sure they would improve more in designs and fun plots
Nah
helluva boss, lmao
omg I KNEW it'd be John K
I actually thought this was made by John K.
It is, along with other artists.
The sonnnggg
It’s a really good intro but once you find out who was the animator Who animated this you’re gonna be wondering why the hell he was on Nickelodeon the person I’m talking about is John K Who if you heard or didn’t heard he was a Sexual predator and a abuser to his young staff and he was also pretty illusional in the head and also he was the same person who made The legendary show Ren & Stimpy
Has anyone ever considered the underlying message of this movie? Rich people are good and middle class people (like Velda) are bad, LOL.
Message, eh? Hmmm, now that you mention it...I would consider it to be more along the lines of "Don't judge a person by their social standing. There will always be A-holee in EVERY class."
* A-holes
Weintraub actually produced OCEAN'S ELEVEN (2001) if I know my movies! I might be wrong.
Wait... Jenny Lewis, like the singer/songwriter? Forgot she used to act
I wonder if this movie was either animated or made into an animated tv show.
I'm this old lol
The website doesn't mention Camp and Naylor. Did they go uncredited?
probably because they are animators not the director of the short same happens with the producers that got all the credit in productions in everything animation, writting and design
@@forkq5720 But the website credits Jim Smith, Mike Kazaleh, Kent Butterworth, and others!
@@yosefdemby8792 then why you dont delete the comment if you question its answered
@@forkq5720 It's not!
What's this song in the beginning of the film
Make it big
By The Beach Boys
Has a real Vivienne Medrano feel.
Is there anyone who can ID which shots were done by which animators?
Animated By Amy Poehler & Erik Weise
Get out of here with your spam nonsense.
Can you upload the Tomcats intro in 1080p??
Gwen Stefani's brother animated part of this.

Animation error.
Where can I get this song
It's Make it Big by The Beach Boys.
The intro is similar to the pink panther
Phyllis Nefler walked so Elle Woods could run
??? What’s this supposed to be
Directed By Chuck Jones
This was made by John K and Bob Camp (creators of Ren and Stimpy).
That was made by John K & Bob Camp (Creators Of Ren & Stimpy)
In another universe that is...
You must be thinking "Gremlins 2: The New Batch" with the Bugs and Daffy opening scrum 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Bob Camp will always be better than John K
Lynne Naylor and Jim Smith will be better than him as well.

Ah yes, the only good part of the film.
