The ninetails is actually an old Japanese and Chinese legend and mythology that Naruto is also based on, and Ahri is based of the original Ninetails instead of Naruto.
That time when the screen turned grey with Ahri's eyes turning pink she was using "charm" on them to attract them away from the hurt Leona and give her time to heal.

@@lunaticeagle3007 No you're right. In asian mythologys, there are different mentions of the nine-tailed fox. In Japan, it's called a Kitsune, and is thought to bring mischief or misfortune, in Korea it's called a Kumiho/Gumiho and is known to shapeshift into a beautiful young woman to seduce men (Ahri is based off of the Kumiho legend of Korea instead of Japan's Kitsune because she was released with the Korean league of legends server), China's version is called Huli-jing
EDIT: Fun Fact: When Ahri was going to be released, there was a poll in Korea where they got to actually choose the name of the champion because it is a big cultural thing, the names being: Danbi (Meaning: 'savior' or 'saving rain'), Nabi ('butterfly'), Luli ('dazzle'), Ahri (Ali/Ari in korean) (meaning 'graceful' or 'elegant'), Cholong ('glittering'), Dasom (meaning 'loving')

9:22 I've watched dozens pf reactions and you are the ONLY ONE to notice that the shell says "end of the line".
Also Ahri, the fox girl, is a kitsune. A nine-tailed fox from Japanese mythology. Aside from being the sexiest goddamn woman in video gaming history, kitsune are masters of magic and trickery. They're also known as fox spirits, and their personalities differ. Sometimes they'll punish the village dickhead, and other times they'll lure lost men into the forest, never to be seen again. Every hundred years they grow another tail, so if you want to be technical, Ahri must be at least 900 years old. Female. Some Kitsune will disguise themselves and intermarry with humans, and live as loyal wives, and their magical abilities have no limits. They can turn a graveyard into a mansion with little effort.
Moral of the story? Marry a kitsune and you'll live happily ever after.

Also, the giant was trying to move. His anchor toss will pull him elsewhere if he hits it on a wall in-game, so it was a reference to that move in particular. Also, he did try to shield to protect himself, that's something you can do as him or as a summoner spell (or both) but obviously it wasn't enough... That guys gun does hit like a fucking truck after all....
Also yes, Ahri wasn't made from Naruto. The Nine Tailed Fox has long been a part of Chinese and Japanese ancient mythology. In the original mythos, the nine tailed demon fox is in fact female, and often lures men into their traps through femenine wiles and tricky illusions. Naruto is actually the one deviating from the original path by having both the demon fox, and the character that it possesses being Male. Ahri is more accurately based on the original myth.
As for why Ahri wasn't fighting from the beginning, in game mechanics, Ahri is a burst mage, and Leona(the shield woman) and her were lured into a 3v2 Gank by Katarina(the red haired acrobatic woman) to fight her, Darius(the Axe dude) and DRAAAAAYYYYYYYVEN(the guy with the spinning blades that he calls throwing axes... which i mean, they're not axes at all, but whatever.)
