- This is a requested review of the Louis Vuitton Noe - my favorite LV bag.
The Noe was designed in 1932 to hold Champagne bottles. It seemed to reach the height of it's popularity in the 90's. It is still part of the permanent collection. It is sold in 3 sizes - mini Noe, Petit Noe and Noe.
This Noe is 16 years old. I purchased it pre-loved. The vachetta had mild stains on it, but I cleaned it with Lovin My Bags and I think it looks pretty good. This 16 year old Noe is a perfect example of the quality and craftsmanship LV used to be known for.

I highly recommend this bag. It is a fantastic casual bag. They can be easily found pre-loved or purchase brand new from LV.

Hi, and thanks for the prompt reply! My concern with using LMB was overlapping the products in a way that would harm the vintage leather. IMO, my Noe needs a little more cleaning/conditioning especially because I live in such a dry climate (AZ). Back in the day when I first acquired my 1st LV bag (the late 80's), no one spoke of "treating" the leather and we just rolled with it as is. I guess I just want to properly preserve the leather & patina on my bag that took 22 years to achieve ! :)
I just hauled a noe from the pre-1980s and it looks good
I have the petit noe and I love it so much, it's so casual and comfortable to wear, I'm thinking of getting the bigger size next :)

I adore it in monogram also I just made a pre love purchase of the petit Noe in epi leather Noir however mine is the new model which was made on the 29th week of 2015 so it's a fairly new bag it looked to be in excellent condition , in 2007 on the epi leather the hardware was changed from brass to silver which was one of the things I loved about it just with the epi leather ofcourse , I may down the road purchase the petit Noe in monogram also I just wasn't quite ready for all of that vachetta on the bottom just yet ! I have the epi noe in fawn color I like it too but it's much more stiffer then the mono. The mono noe is so comfy.

Thanks for that! Another thing to watch for although I do think Ebay has cleaned up its act from the days when it was awash with fakes! Ive just won a super black epi leather zippy purse and lusac bag in the same epi leather.
AR8909 is also possible. the bag must be from the 80ies. 89 (year) and 09 (month).
They changed the data codes in the 90ies: first and third stand for the month, second and forth stand for the year. Since 2007 the first and the third stand for the calender week.
Sorry, miss- type earlier. I love this bag! Im wondering if i'll be able to use it in the winter though? I live in finland and with all the snow and rein that we get i think that vachetta will get ruined.

How do you store your Noe? I'm trying to figure out the best storage options for my LV, specifically my Keepall Bandouliere 50 and my 2 Noe. My other bags are easier to store. These 2 are a little more bulky. I appreciate your help as I haven't been able to find a video thus far.
Do you not protect it with anything against water stains then? I have one of a similar age but it seems susceptible to watermarks even though it has a patina darker than yours..

Great to hear! I found an amazing keepall on eBay with a few minor stains...keeping an eye on this one ;) I LOVE dark patina on monogram pieces - it really does show character and the quality of LV. The vintage look is also fabulous. How is your beautiful neo holding up?

Hi there! I loved your video. I just recently aquired the petite noe, preloved and produced in July 2004. Overall it's in excellent condition but the bottom has watermark stains and such, and I'm wondering which "Lovinmybags" products you used to get yours to come out and look so great? Thanks!!

Hello hello bjtayl02. Its true about looking at LV bags in person as compared to looking at them in their website. In your opinion what medium sized LV bag looks best in the damier azure print. Planning to get 1 for the summer but sad to say, the nearest LV store here in a plane ride away ...:) Stay well always...

Which one are you using to death and thinking of getting a back up? I will keep my noe forever no matter what . Every time I carry my fawn noe, the SA always comment on it saying that it's such gorgeous and in new condition. I don't get those comments from my other LVs. Even the SAs that do not help me come and congratulate me on the fawn noe. It's a nice coming forom them since they see LVs all day

I have the same bag (made in 1991), so your video helped me to learn even more about mine :) I recently used the Vachetta Collection (the 3 step process) from Lovin my Bags, and I am happy with the results. The leather is much cleaner and a little less dry. I was wondering how often you repeat the 3 step process (cleanser, protection, & conditioner w/soil release)? Is there a product you use more frequently to clean? TIA

Can you give me an idea of what vintage mono canvas should feel like?? I purchased a preloved Petit Noe on eBay. It feels stiff and "plastic'y'" Compared to my brand new, bought in store LV bags it concerns me that this is a fake. Everything else about the bag says authentic though. Any help is appreciated. I think the canvas and leather can harden up in vintage LV bags when they have been unused for a long time. I got one that is over 20 years old this week, and it was very stiff. After use its softened up again and now it is beautiful :)

The products I used on the Noe have been reformulated and some products have been discontinued. If you contact Lovin My Bags they are very helpful recommending the right products to use :)

Hello, I love your videos I have this same bag and it needs leather repair badly, I went to the LV store and she quoted me at over $500 just to replace the draw string and leather strip at the top of the bag what do you suggest? I think that price was ridiculous!
Khadijah Fry Check out Mautto.com for a leather replacement drawstring. As for repairing the trim, you might contact Lovin My bags, they do reconditioning and some repair, they may be able to quote a better price or ask LV what the cost just to replace the top trim would be and get the drawstring from Mautto.
