- Here, I'll show you the second part in constructing new mufflers for MULE from scratch. Please be advised of the safety precautions herein- they are critical to the safety of anyone attempting this. If you are not both confident AND competent, please find another, alternate canister type. An EMPTY fire extinguisher might be a good choice.
I used the same technique for my racing mower and my go kart. I used the thinner propane cylinders that are found on torches instead of the fat ones found on camp stoves. They sound awesome! The go kart I have has a 35 hp Vanguard with a turbo charged from a Ford engine. The mufflers sound amazing! Thanks for the ideas and the vids! Keep it up!
They sound quiet.
Nice , can't wait to see the finished product .
Thanks for the video man ! Im gonna see what type of muffler i can build on my tractor
I would have taken every step that you did. You're not overly precautionary in your methods at all.
As I commented in Part 1, these should be rinsed out with water, or SOAPY WATER to void all remnants of the duel!
(That is how the Big Boys purge the big 50+ Gallon Tanks when they build Competition BBQ's!)
They fill the tanks with Soapy Water when they CUT THEM OPEN to prevent "BIG BAHDA BOOM"!
Oh good, You new. LOL. Looks like you got the same idea on the mufflers but you've done it before it sounds like. Can't wait to hear them.
Yessir!
Thanks for the video enjoyed it , thumbs up and new sub as well
That's a great idea
Can't wait to hear it
thumbs up on the BLAM parts thanks.. plus I subbed thanks for the great video..
Terrific... Thank you!
I love your video so helpful going to try and make one for my mg miget as normal mufflers are giant
I'd like to see that!
@@DocSprocket gfollow me on my instagram @baudiliomani I made the muffler from a fire extinguisher and made it with luvers and glass packed it resembles a mini cherrybomb tomorrow is install day on the midge
Well done my friend, better to be a "little paranoid " than dead or maimed...- That's called being smart and not dead or maimed... Oh the days when we sat around the Paramedic station swapping stories that began with : " Did you hear what that jackass did yesterday on A shift with an : Oil , propane, acetylene , tank?... You get the idea.... Next comment from here will be about the idiots trying to cut a loaded shotgun barrel down with a hacksaw- same idea...
I tell folks that "Nothing kills a good time faster that a trip to the ER".
I want Part 3 NOW dang it.
Man- I can't even shoot it until the rain stops!!! Dangit!!!
lol
Your doing a great job!
aw man, a trip to the er is fun.
I should really watch the ENTIRE video before commenting...
Sorry Doc!
Premature Stupidity on my behalf, with GOOD INTENTIONS.
Ready?
just fill with water and dawn dish soap, this will clean out any gas.
Quick question for ya. in the pipe that your cut the slits in, if i cut less slits, will it be quieter do to less gasses being let out? im tryin to make a good sounding muffler for ma racing mower, i just dont want it to loud
In theory, I suppose. However, you want to stop short of being too restrictive, which will hurt performance.
@@DocSprocket ok. Thankyou for the info. Was yours loud to the point where it hurt?
@Jordan Simon No, but keep in mind that I had a muffler for each cylinder, and they're a fairly large chamber. A bigger muffler can by nature, is quieter.
no paranoia there its true!!! I had to remove a dent in a motor cycle gas tank, drained the fuel and left it outside for 2 days with the cap off... yep put the nail spot welder to it & BLAM... IT SOUNDED LIKE A ROCKET ROARING THROW THE GAS FILL... Fill it with water is right.....that scared the POOP right out of me!!!!!!!
Good GOD! Good thing you weren't killed! Well- I ASSUME you weren't killed. If you WERE killed, let me be the forst to tell you that you type pretty well for a dead guy. LOL Ok- accidents can happen, but let's try our best to minimise the risk. Like I said, nothing kills a good time faster than a trip to the emergency room.
very true heehee...
Then what?
Part 3 (final) tomorrow...
I can see the potential. good job Doc
Bob Vance Thank you, sir!
Ready?
Uploading now, my friend!
