Still waiting for him to realize that supermarkets don't have dead ends at the end of aisles. Imagine having to walk all the way down an aisle to get someting at the end, and then have to backtrack all the way back down the aisle to get to the next one, rather than being able to go up and down each aisle. He needs to push all the aisles back a bit so there is room at the front of the store to walk between them.

@@eggy_white2100 I am calling bullshit on this. NO WAY your supermarket (not a tiny corner store with 2 small aisles) makes customers walk down an aisle, and then turn around to get back out. Supermarket layouts are LITERALLY standardized across the industry. Not only were their exits at both ends, but literally every supermarket now has the aisles opening toward the registers. Meaning if you stand at a register, you can look down the aisles...not be faced on one aisle blocking the rest of the store. I know this is standard because it was a big deal when my local supermarket moved across the parking lot to a new location. Because it had been THE last one in the entire country to have the aisle exists be side to side while the registers were up front. But now it is the more sensible, more profitable layout of the aisles opening at the front and back, with the cashiers in the front
This is from DECADES of studying buying habits, etc. showing that this is the best way to maximize sales. So again...to you...bullshit. OR...prove me wrong. Name your supermarket. But be careful...it will be very easy to prove you wrong once you reveal he name.

Box up all your shelves freezers fridges and racks and use the boxes to make a stair pyramid to climb up and get your stuck boxes. All the products on the shelves will be fine when you unbox them again.

I love this game. I’ve been playing it so much.
I sorted my backroom in the order that’s on the computer. It helps with ordering because you just scroll top to bottom. You don’t have to search and you can look at the computer without interacting with it
That is what I did also - after struggling forever with the stock arranged by type. So much faster to keep it by order in the system.

Yes, his Anxiety is literally being kicked and I would argue that running a successful supermarket is actually a skill, in the same way that something like "shooting a person with a crossbow" can be a skill.
You might be less annoyed with checking out people if you'd start using numpad for their change when they pay by card ;). Loved the episode btw!

i like the Scanner mod, and the purchase to shelf mod it costs a bit to auto stock your storage from purchase, but i think it's totally worth it.

You need the mod that makes the checkout employees work faster.
The mod that automatically puts boxes on racks after ordering them is a god send. Especially later game
He is purposely not trying to make the game easier to "beat"...just less frustrating. The mod he installed doesn't really help you advance in the game. So he is OK with that.
@@FUGP72 I'm not sure that waiting 3 minutes after 9PM for all your customers to clear makes it any easier than waiting 15 minutes. The checkers in this game are unrealistically slow and the mod I mentioned just makes them more realistic.
It does make the game easier, because they're much quicker. This all but invalidates the need for the player to actually interface with the game
Very clearly, by design, the dev has made the unspoken point that the AI cashiers are somewhat inferior to the player. Given you are the "manager" this kinda makes logical sense as well. They're just working a 9-5, you actually have personal incentive to bust your butt. They're not "unreasonably slow" if you actually help out. It's only when they get super backed up because the player doesn't assist, and Drae is more or less fine with that since he apparently doesn't want to ring customers up.

Drae, you can use the numeric keypad on your keyboard to make card payments, making working as a cashier less painful
The next mod should be a way to change all prices from a single menu. Or even just have an option to make all prices a certain percent above/below market price at all times.
You should focus on store expansion before these licenses for now since you can't even keep up nor store all of the products

Can you walk on the boxes? Maybe you could try stacking them like stairs to get the products off of the roof/fire escape
In terms of weird simulation games, still like that gas station simulator game better than this one. I don't know why, but something was satisfying about the adding & upgrading game loop... and that game has an endearing "flavor" of derpiness to it.
I tend to run a different approach, not making a full shelf of every item. Some just have one shelf, some have more than one, based on things that take a lot of space, but sell a lot, like potatoes. I already had the licenses he bought at the end, but inside a smaller footprint than he's already expanding to

Yeah, TBH probably a bit. Then again, if he was actually ringing customers up, which I believe the dev expects you to, then he long since would've passed 900 considering he's at 488 right now.
You say everyone comes at 9pm but when it hits that time you toggle the sign to closed. Otherwise people will keep coming in beyond the end of the fay

There`s an infinite money glitch where you box up the cashiers and then reload the game, automatically giving you the default cashier and then you sell that boxed cashier.
How do you zoom in on the computer screen to read the information?

Okay, so - help me out here - at 6:25 the Daily Statistics show that the Income of the day was $3.623,43. So this was the turnover of the day, I guess? - So, to get the Profit, we would need to deduct costs. So $3.623,43 (Turnover) - $1.780,03 (Cost) = $1.843,40. But the Total Profit is displayed as $2.155,73? Am I wrong here? How does that make any sense? 😅

I must confess that you've confused me in how you managed to forget the qualifications for hiring a cashier. It's just weird because all of them have had similar conditions to unlock.
i am supprsed you haven't tried to change the price of a product after a NPC takes said product. 1mil dollar milk for example.

The price is locked for an item after the customer picks it up. Changing it would only affect the next person that wants it

Just in case you didn't know. If you end the day with customers still in the store you will lose the sales and any products they had already picked up.
