After Death Metal, DCeased, Joker War, Doomsday Clock, Year of The Villain, and Convergence, I need them to cool it down with grandiose events/plots, just focus on character-driven and simple isolated stories.

That’s the main reason why I hate modern DC. They can’t go one event without having the multiverse being threatened. And edginess for the sake of edginess.
Robin King is pure evil he's clearly the perfect sidekick of the batman who laughs, i can't even tell which of them is more twisted
I can’t see how the robin king would enjoy being the sidekick.. even to someone as evil as the darkest knight.. if anything, he might do something to change that..
I would say the Robin King, though it is close. The Batman Who Laughs still tries to make a point, his acts of cruelty serve a higher purpose, to show the world what he is capable of. The Batman Who Laughs is evil with a goal. The Robin King doesn't care for recognizition, he just want to kill as creatively and cruelly as possible, and if possible with as much pain, both physical and emotional as possible. In other words, he is evil for the sake of it.

Comic book events used to be special. Now there's almost as many events as there are individual titles. Sometimes less is more.
That's why i stopped bothering with comic universes and events and only follow individual characters and teams i love from those universes, gotta say it's way better this way.
@TheVirusSoftware Sometimes quality is better the quantity idk what they are thinking pushing out almost all these amazing comics and events out now when they could have easily saved them for years to come...makes you wonder

@Darth Pancake Studios that's the core of the problem. When he created the Court of Owls he made something that fit and added to the existing lore of Batman. All these Metal new villains are BORING. I do not care and like you said the characters don't seem to care. It's just disappointing on almost every level

In the end the batman who laughs actually saves all reality perfecting it cause it's the absolutely most unexpected thing and gets to kill everyone to do it in the process.
I'm glad Superboy Prime it's joining the good guys . He was always a hero at heart ,but he was driven to madness and used by people like Alexander Luthor and so on ☺️
To be honest, Perpetua secretly psychically manipulated both Alex Luthor Junior and Superboy-Prime, so yes it's all her faults to be blamed, not him.
I hope SP gets the happy ending he was promised in the original Crisis.

The shot in the dark comment i thought was a tie in to his origin, being shot into the dark of space, and that what happened after was the effect of a shot in the dark

This comment is for Arris, but it definitely applies to the whole variant team. I just want to personally thank you for these videos and what you do. I am a serious comics lover. But because of my current lifestyle setup, I never have time to read them. But because of you variant, and you, Arris, I have been able to enjoy some of my favorite comic storylines without feeling left out because I can’t buy or read them. You are an incredible storyteller and I feel like I’m reading the comics themselves sometimes when I heard your synopsis. The power rangers/ninja turtles one?! I almost had to actually buy it just on the off chance I could read it one day. But I get immersed in the story because of your descriptions and it always feels great. Thank you for sharing your passion through these videos because it helped people like me, who no longer have access to that part of life that we once loved, stay connected with the awesome stories that are still coming out today.

I have the first 3 issues of dc death metal
Death Metal has become the greatest event in comics ever. The whole DC universe is being unraveled and also wrapped around us is amazing. I totally agree with Arris' commentary about the double intention behind this series. Spot on.

The one thing this series depicts is a theory I've had for Years as a comic reader. DC Comics has had characters from almost every aspect of "reality" whose "existence" we're catalysts for a Crisis. Meta-Human, Cosmic, Multi-Dimensional, and even Celestial. Now currently...here we are within one of The Most defining "Crisis" in DC history. Only this time, we get to experience Bruce Wayne's very existence (in Any reality) was always another catalyst for a Crisis. A more grounded aspect "below" the other aspects I've mentioned earlier.
I love how arriq is biggest fan of so many things and even if he is not the biggest fan of something he still loves it
I liked how they made a homage to the New 52. I still can't believe it's been 9 years since it started. I know this is a very unpopular opinion, but I really loved the New 52, as it was what got me into comics in the first place.

Great story and I love the idea and art for The Real Darkseid. Although I do feel it was a missed opportunity in naming the Last 52, the Final 52 would have been way better.

You think that the Batman rogue and lore couldn't get any more intense, but they just keep delivering. The Robin King is the darkest version of Batman I've seen and it'll be hard to top that.

Super Boy Prime is now one of my favorite villains, he just destroyed 3 worlds, and his villainous actions are justifiable in this scenario

You can have the entire comic read to you professional like, in order, at comicstorians channel. Just search Comicstorian (insert any title) and he most likely has the entire arc, and reads it as a kind of radio drama. It's really good, especially if you drive for a living like me.

Lets be honest, how much in the DC universe really has meaning? The heros don't kill and things constantly get reset because again, the writers just can't think of good ways out of the rediculous situations the characters get into. In the end its just kinda lazy.

After issue 3, i had a feeling that this was another crisis. The fact that they showed how the previous ones could have ended differently, rectified that idea.

The idea and concept is great, but they overused him at this point. He's basically the "No u" card of DC.
This "event" also feels shallow, as it's heavily reliant on the one-shot side stories. In fact without those the "main" comics feel like they are missing context.
I for one liked the spin-offs this whole "metal" series spawned a lot more then the actual main arc. Like the different Batmans. Those are some great "what if" reads.
But they need to put the BWL on ice for while after this.

I've said it before and I'm saying it again. Death Metal has been freaking nuts and I love it! Can't wait for the Omnibus Scott promised years ago, I'm hoping it will have everything Metal, Death Metal and, all the spin offs.

Im actually excited for this event. I like how although Dc has many major events it doesn't do a major cosmic event like Marvel every 5 seconds, I've wanted to be a comic book maker for years and DC would be a major inspiration.

I love Death Metal. Ever since I read this issue I’d never though I would ever experience a Crisis event. Every generation had their own Crisis. But man I’d never thought there would another one with mine. I am thankful to be born in 2001. And got to an age to really enjoy reading these comics.
