The ending of Supernatural took a while to hit Jensen, it wasn't until Castiel sacrificed himself to save Dean from Death in Supernatural 15x18 episode that Jensen started feeling it, the start of the countdown to the series ending.

My channel is focused on creating content about my favorite TV show Supernatural, from reactions to analysis videos, reviews, ending explained videos, top 10 lists, theories and everything in between. Supernatural story follows two brothers (Sam and Dean Winchester) who are out to kill every evil thing in this world. When Dean was 4 yrs old and Sam only 6 months old; their mother (Mary) was killed, their father (John) was determined to find and kill the demon who killed his wife. Raising the boys as "HUNTERS" of all things evil. Their motto: SAVING PEOPLE, HUNTING THINGS, THE FAMILY BUSINESS. After John's death the boys continue the family business with the help of a few other hunters and Supernatural allies like the angel of the lord Castiel and king Crowley, traveling cross country, killing as many monsters as possible and saving as many people as they can. And at the same time they learn that "Family don't end with blood". They will do whatever it takes to save each other and their "FAMILY". Going up against demons, vampires, werewolves, shapshifters, Leviathans, Djinns, Ghouls, demigods, witches, Wraiths, Ghosts, Wendigos, spirits, Changelings, Jefferson Starships, Clowns, Scarecrow, the four horsemen, angels and even Archangels like Lucifer, Michael, Gabriel and Raphael among other things. They lose family and find new people they call family. They have gone to heaven and worse for each other and will do it all over again. Cause that's what FAMILY does and "Family don't end with blood". Follow the adventures of the awesome Dean Winchester and Sam Winchester who lost his shoe and is deathly afraid of clowns, on their journey to avert the next apocalypse and save the world. Don't forget the number 1 rule: No chick flick moments!

Love that it was Misha who really brought up that handprint in the end! Also, for the people who believe Dean wasn’t showing much emotion in that scene, I couldn’t disagree more. I think it was a very “Dean” reaction in that shock and confusion because it all hit him pretty quickly. I think the audience are used to seeing a lot of angst/tears in these types of scenes, but that’s not the one and only grief response in the world. To insinuate that a character must always react with drama is kind of redundant IMO. This reminds me of the boys’ reaction to Bobby’s death in S7 (which was very powerful). To me, this scene came off as very raw and real, and it was great.
They corrected that into that idea being a collaborative effort but it included Misha sure.

Also, Jensen mentioned that he gave more to Dean's reaction in this scene but it was edited out in the end. Like, even in promos you can see that Dean has tears in his eyes but here he doesn't.
This was perfect. A good example of overacting that young actors learn not to do is what Sam is doing (with all his facial mimics). I'm not saying mr Padalacki is a bad actor, but definitly not as able to send strong interiorised emotions as mr Ackle and mr Collins can do (or even other actors in the show). Everything was in the eyes. Always better to under do it than over do it.
@@lou-annmorin33 I think Sam has had many powerful moments where his reactions were mild but spoke a million words too, but I understand what you mean. Every actor has their own strengths and weaknesses, and still everyone in the cast has done an amazing job executing these scenes in their own ways! It’s amazing to see and it upsets me to see fans judge them so negatively when it’s not up to their standards or interpretation
Finally free... in this scene, we don't see Sam and Dean, we see Jared and Jensen. We'll miss them.

Cass should have been the one to become the new God. Because he's much more experienced and has learned what it's like to be human

Jack is more powerful, God isn’t human, we saw Godstiel in season 7, Cass is powered down and barely even an angel anymore
@@oomphdooph it just kind of gives his character an ending purpose. Like after everything, betraying heaven for humanity because of his infatuation with Gods creation just kind of seems like it would be fulfilling for Castiel. Like he’s more than just a sacrifice. BUT, I do like Jack being the new God (after being perceived to be evil even before birth) and Cas being right by his side repairing heaven. At least he wasn’t just left to suffer in the empty and can be with his “son”.

IDK if it’s me or not but Cass’s goodbye was in Misha’s voice and not Cass’s voice. He has a different tone for Cass then he does in real life. It’s like he’s not saying goodbye to the show but to his character also.
I love the fact the fist time cas saved dean and pulled him out from hell he left a hand print on him and the last time he saved deans life he left the hand print

Man! I sure didn't like what happened to Castiel, at all! They have to do a sequel or spin-off now, just to rescue him! I'm sure Jensen, Jared and Misha were a bit emotional near the end, themselves, maybe more so! Here's to 15 years of becoming a weird sort of family!
hell no. this was a perfect ending to his story. to take it back is insulting to the character
Luckily Cas is alive and well, thanks to Jack!! ;) That's the only good thing that came out of that crappy finale.
@@elenabaek3004 We will never know, unfortunately. They left it up to us to imagine. Cas definitely deserved better. As you said, he deserved at least to be mourned and appreciated properly by Dean, who Cas gave his life for.

People need to start appreciating ambiguity in stories, but this one doesn't actually have any. When Dean finally goes to heaven, Bobby tells him flat out that Castiel helped Jack rebuild heaven. That could not have happened unless Jack once again pulled Castiel from the empty. I would have been happy either way. In spite of the overwhelming Whedon-esque theme of "No one is ever allowed to be happy", Castiel was a tragic character from the get go. In my opinion, his end was perfect for his character.

I am amazed how long I held it together watching this scene. It wasn't until I saw the handprint that I broke. That just hit me so hard. I LOVE parallel story structure to begin with and that hand print just wrecked me.

I just watched the video that you put together of Jensen and Misha’s comments and reaction to death of Castiel. And I have to tell you that , that was the farthest I have ever gotten and I really don’t know when I will be able to watch anymore. I have stated rewatching the series from the first episode and am on season 9 so am secretly dreading the latter seasons as they get closer. Basically I just wanted to say that you did an amazing job and can’t wait to see more of your stuff. And from a fan’s point of view, it’s nice to see that the cast is having the same issues as we fans with the letting go thing

Cas deserved a better ending than being put in the empty to relive all his past regrets forever. It's horribly tragic for the character we've all come to love.
@@ThePeaceofWildThings I hope he comes back too. I was talking to some other fans of the show and we realized that cas had never been told he was loved by anyone. It really broke my heart to realize that lol I know it's just a show but they've become a little real to me ya know. Hopefully there's some light at the end of the tunnel.

Bobby is pretty clear that Castiel helped Jack rebuild heaven. I would actually have been ok with a tragic ending for Castiel. I mean come on. He was a tragic character from day 1. But I don't think he's still in the empty.
I was hoping that the real God was in Cass all the time 🥺and I can't accept Cass is gone😱
There is hardly any Series where the actors are so deeply connected with their characters and their fanbase you never would have thought that when the series started. Maybe Stargate also had such actors and such a loyal fanbase and they also got shut down at the end without the actors and fans wanting it to ever end. For the actors it will be tough to ever find new roles where they won't be seen as their supernatural characters. Especially Jared and Jensen who even said for them it wouldn't have been a problem if they would have continued playing their roles for their entire carreer until they retire. Imagine that, from your youth to you old days one job, one, series, one Character. This would have been a Guinness Book Record. To bad it didn't come to that. I would have loved to grow old with Sam and Dean :)
I don't know what Micha, Jensen and Jared will do now, if and when we will see them ever again. But I really hope none of them will ever try to act kind of "different" like so many actors who does this so they make sure they are not the Character they played, only to get new roles. Like Leonard Nimoy ("I'm not Spock") or many others.
I hope to see them again and when I see especially Jensen again I defiitely want to get "Dean Feeling" again since I doubt anyone else was so deeply merged with his Character than him :)

When chuck did the ending scene of season 5 that u showed, I bawled! At that time we didn't know if there was going to be a season 6 so we thought that was the end! And I cried just as hard as I did at the end of season 15 . Chucks lines at the end of season 5 made it so emotional! It was written so well. I really hope when Jensen starts that new series he brings the same writers back!
Man the end of this show just broke me ... this show had been there for me since I found it back when I was 14 in 07 ! I really hope they one day bring them all back to the screen!

what are you talking about? he was in disbelief originally and then at the end of the Episode he has lost hope in tears. I think he did an amazing job, he lost his brother and didn't know how to react, so he did the only thing he could do and that was just try to ponder and realize what had happened. I thought it was amazingly powerful.

So it's not exactly "Destiel", because it's one-way. Cas loves Dean, but Dean's emotions don't really allow him to love anyone except Sam. His growth needs another couple episodes, maybe a movie later on?
It's more to that Dean don't really quite understand what Cas truly meant. Jensen mentioned it having to do with the fact the Cas a celestial being.
He did say it's up to everyone's interpretation whether it's Dean reciprocate or not. But yes, I wouldn't call Destiel canon but it is canon that Cas do love Dean romantically. But again, some would not see it that way because they always thought its platonic love. To each their own :)
@@amnos180188 Not really...because one can have an idea/headcanon/preference, but if something is canonically confirmed (like Cas was confirmed to be in love with Dean), it's also clever and honest to accept it. People don't have to like it, or ship the couple, but to still pretend that Cas' feelings are platonic is... choosing to be in denial. Not everything is up for interpretation (Cas' feelings are not up to interpretation...Dean's are.)

Very good. I believe some of the best plot development is character death, and when done as good as this, should stay permanent. It gives characters conclusion and I always prefer to see characters die (natural or not) because it gives them a final point and ending.
