- In celebration of their new album "Big Whiskey and the GrooGrux King" the Dave Matthews Band played the Beacon Theater on June 1, 2009. Let me point out that I did not take this video or upload it to thetradersden. I used the "Stefan Bomb" matrix for audio rather than the audio of the actual recording. I am just showing this video to all fans to enjoy.
Dave Matthews -- Guitar and Vocals
Carter Beauford -- Drums and Vocals
Boyd Tinsley -- Violin and Vocals
Stefan Lessard -- Bass
Rashawn Ross -- Trumpet and Vocals
Tim Reynolds -- Guitar
Jeff Coffin -- Saxaphone

When Jeff became part of DMB. Amazing show. RIP Roi
Carter Beauford Rocks. I never was really into DMB for a long time and one of my dudes was always pushing how great they were. It took me far too long to realize the greatness that this band emits.
09 was my favorite tour back when I followed the band. Followed them from 05 until 2010. But 2009 was the longest straight tour me and my buddy went on and just had a different feeling to it. To this day Grux is a front to back album for me.
I listened to DMB before that album, knew their big songs. But Grux is the one that got me hooked on their entire catalog.
gotta love a bunch of guys on stage just jammin
Dave Matthews is the only artist that can write a song with few words, but have his emotions speak more than the words of the song...
tim brings the funk, and the band brings the house down. soooo cool.

That's the link to the full concert - can see each song separately as well. Hope that works!
BEST OF THE BEST!!!!!!!
this was the year of great versions of this song . i know the new album was being played and all, but this stole the show at every show. the scat outro is what made this, and sadly they moved away from it shortly after.
ants is stellar from beacon theater too.
@Sodamlucky27 Definitely love some Carter...think I read somewhere that he barely missed being picked for Arsenio Hall's studio band. Thank God for whatever idiot dropped the ball on that audition. Carter played a huge role putting together the band in the early days...
pity the sax solo isn't louder!!! best song
Why is there no video for "time bomb" from this show?!!! I know I watched it on Fuse when it aired...
