BMW E46 M3 Differential Fluid Replacement DIY (2001-2006)

►The BMW E46 M3's differential is constantly working hard to turn the torque and horsepower from the S54 engine into tire-smoking forward motion. Special oil keeps the gears and bearings inside the differential cool and lubricated, but its effectiveness will wear over time. Replacing the fluid in your E46 M3 differential is essential to ensuring your drivetrain's health. Fluid changes should happen anywhere between every 20,000 and 50,000 miles; drivers with more track sessions and aggressive driving should change their fluid at the shorter interval.

one would need more than "a couple of jack stands" to ensure the car is level at home, dude. did you know it takes 4 jack stand to lift the car to a level plane? a couple of jack stands is just not safe, and you should not be recommending this to level the car. are you sure you are using the right word? did you mean quickjacks? otherwise, good content. you are awesome

Hi Jotighe, great note! That was more of a general term than anything. At a minimum, you need at least four jack stands to do this at home, the more the merrier when it comes to safety.
