Buried is probably my favorite map of all time. And its because it still had the charm of the original zombies games but with what felt like a natural progression to something more complicated. What we got now is just a totally different game. I'll go back and play black ops 1 zombies all the time.
Based.
I would say itâs my second, but that doesnât mean I donât agree with you. My personal favorite is soe because it was my first map and it was free, it was fun, it was different, the Easter egg went along with the gameplay, I loved the beast feature, I loved how every part of the map had some purpose in some sense, the best wonder weapon in zombies history imo, and it was easy, but still challenging to get high rounds. Buried doesnât have nearly as similar qualities as I see it as shadows, however it is the most fun zombies map Iâve ever played. I wish I couldâve played this game during black ops 2 prime, but the feeling of the game is just so amazing. You donât need to do anything to play the game, donât need to look up any tutorials, you can figure it out just by playing the game, the paralyzer is imo the most fun wonder weapon ever, I love being able to fly around with it and having infinite ammo and damage, the buildables that arenât difficult to find parts too and are very good, I love Leroy, and camping at jug felt very similar to camping on the catwalk on der reise. Playing buried makes me feel like a kid again, and it just has that natural zombies feel which I love. Itâs just a great map, and Iâve never had more fun on a zombies map
I'd say that it's the 2nd best map that I've played, didn't play anything past black ops 3, the top 1 being mob of the dead
Mm no?
Can i get zombies map for free somehow or can I share the maps I purchased? 15$ is cool at first until u want to play with someone and they dont have the map.
I still remember being way too young to be playing World At War, and upon finishing the campaign, being plunged into the deep end of what was once just a WW2 shooter now turned horror.
Needless to say that I was scared for the longest time of playing Zombies by myself.
Literally exact same experience
To this day playing Nacht der Untoten alone fills me with anxiety lmao
Those who never played WAW zombies first will never truly understand the horror of that game, I remember playing it before BO1 was even released and everyone my age then was just obsessed with the mini game on COD , blissful times
â@Radiator Mike Kino at 6 am was so scary to.
Same I used to watch my brothers friends play older waw zombies and bo1 and it scared me so bad like I couldn't watch it I'd deadass hide behind the couch I was that scared
I was freaked out at zombies when i was young, and i still feel erie playing alone
Man itâs so sad knowing the golden age of zombies has past :(

I didn't even realize we had this many maps for zombies. Pretty wild that after all of these years they haven't tried making a dedicated game for the mode at this point.
Some kind of anniversary game that somehow features all the zombies maps would be crazy and sell like hotcakes. Even if they charged $70 the amount of content in that game would be totally worth it.

I may be by myself here but I actually love Die Rise. Loved it from launch for difficult it is, how weird it is, the strafe jump into the upside down room with the box in. The shower too to save points
i always fuckin loved die rise. on my top 3 for sure
yeah i also like Die Rise, sadly not that good at it though.
Iâve actually never played it but itâs always looked really appealing, the verticality and jumping from building to building seems fun as hell, when I finally re-get bo2 Iâm gonna have to give it the ol college try
I can understand why people donât like the map, but I 100% agree with you. I never liked tranzit, so when Die Rise launched I lived on that map.
Iâm not sure if itâs my rose tinted glasses talking but that map was fantastic.
As somebody that has never beaten an Easter egg, barely was able to unlock pack a punch on most maps, rarely lasted past round 20, I do have fond memories of the games.

Oh the nostalgia. Funny enough, TranZit was actually the map that really got my friends and I into zombies. From there we went back and played all the maps from BO1, and when BO3 dropped it became an obsession lol. Miss those days
Me and my brother would play transit split screen way back on the ps3. I even watched my Godbrothers play it completely in the dark with the sound boasted. Good times
It was exactly the same for me
I played bo2 zombies with my cousin and my brother, I could only go there maybe 3 times a year but I remember it being very fun
Nearly exactly how I got into zombies. A friend of mine had bo2 and we played the maps he had, Town, Tranzit and Die Rise. It was... awesome.
Then I had a Break for some years and didn't know much about what was going on. Then in the end of 2016 I saw things going on about bo3 Zombies and I WAS HOOKED ON THAT SHIT. I "borrowed" the Game from my Cousin (I still have it to this day) and played hours upon hours on nearly every map. Those were the glorious says were you just tried over and over again to get an easter egg or get to a higher round than before.
I muss those times man...

The best part about doing the "objectives" in the old games is that they didn't feel like objectives. Part of figuring the things out yourself and not having prompts or UI guides made it all the more satisfying. Doing ee's or getting wonder weapons felt satisfying because you had to go out of your way to accomplish them, whereas now it's just part of the experience as a whole. Having that sorta choice between the two worked more seamlessly. Players who wanted to just sit back and kill zombies could, and players who wanted to rush to get everything done as fast as possible also could. It was optional, but rewarding. Now it's just in your face. I am enjoying CW a lot though.

Honestly, Transit was my favorite map ever, just the memories alone brings me so much joy.
Great with friends
Same! I remember hoping off the bus and going for the combat knife in the tiny cabin, then using that to take out the denizens before they could even latch onto you. Made running through the fog so much more intense. Having to hold out on the bus until it started moving again... Such great times.
Same bro
That was when I learned early in life, sometimes you need to leave your friends behind.
I loved the challenge. Truly tests your gamer iq
10:18 Kino was actually intended to be in WaW, but they moved it to Bo1 for some reason. I think itâs because they realized that Five wasnât as strong of a map and wanted peopleâs first taste of zombies to be good, thatâs why Kino kinda feels more WaW-ish to me tbh
Nine from bo4 was one of my favorite maps, it was crazy good. itâs just where it was placed on bo4 that made it look bad, the perks system too. I think if Nine was made in bo3 it would of been one of best maps ever made.
your complete right. i think some things didnât need to be changed. like the perks and how the game just feels. if they make a game feel like bo1-bo3 playability wise they could take zombies almost anywhere đ
"A contender petitions a God! Will they satisfy?"
the announcer will forever be in my head rent free
basado
I started with Bo2, tried Bo1 and stopped after Bo3 - everything afterwards seems like a totally different game which I was never really interested in
They kept expanding on zombies to the point of making it bloated then a mosquito bite was enough to make pop it and then created they zombies we have now, from all of those zombie juices.
Sometimes, simple things and traditional playstyle is better than adding more content to the point that saturates the mind of the player with so much letters and numbers and things in the screen. I think if treyarch went backwards with just the playstyle of Bo1 with just bigger maps and some inovations and different wonder weapons and traps or characters but without changing the essence of classic zombies would have given them the love of the community.
@@bsf4962 The thing is Treyarch won't be able to win now. There are undoubtedly people who like this new zombies, there are also people who love the old so no matter what they do they can't really win.
@@PJ-oe6eu more people seem to like b03 zombies so yes they can win

I loved Tranzit. Makes me sad that everyone hates it. I always thought it was popular. I mainly liked it cause of the bank and the bus that takes you to different areas. I did not like how you upgraded, though.
It's the best ever zombies map, these younger dudes just hate it coz it's too hard for them with the lava and fog but it's actually the best without a doubt and I've played all them since I was about 15 haha
@@user-fu3fu4ye7j nah you tweaking TranZit is pure unadulterated trash
Transit is my favorite. Out of any map from WAW to BO3, Transit is the one I played the most. I played the default map for WAW a lot, I played Five more than any other map on BO1, Transit the most on BO2, and Shadows of Evil or Origins on BO3. When my friends and I get together and break out the old 360, we go straight to MW3 survival or BO2 Transit split screen. Unmatched experience.
Its exactly as most rankings talk about it transit is really bad compared to other map and i played A LOT of map since i was about 10 on bo1. BUT it doesn't mean i didn't spend hours on it with my friends, we really had a blast on it. But that's it... it was a map were you did dumb shit with your friends, explored the different areas, had fun and so on. It wasn't a map were you would seriously go in solo and play it with intention of breaking you record, doing a serious zombie run or finishing the easter egg. It depens on how you rank the maps
@@user-fu3fu4ye7j thereâs a difference between your favorite and the best. Tranzit can you be your favorite but it has much more clear flaws than a map like origins
Just played Kino with an old friend (we played regularly when it first came out)
The fun and nostalgia was INCREDIBLE played it for like 3 hours miss this era of gameing.
split screen.
nothing quite like it.
Wow. Bo2 zombies was the end for me I didn't even realize it continued on that much longer. I played a little Bo3 zombies at friends houses but was never into it and thought it ended there. Great video
I feel like one thing about treyarch maps is they all have potential to be great, if tranzit and die rise were remastered and released in Cold War they wouldâve been amazing in my opinion, and all BO4 maps had amazing potential and wouldâve probably been better received if the game didnât have such a bad release
Bo4 had a dogshit budget
@@OpticHamster69 it also made it worse that they spent all that money on the campaign just to end up canceling it in the end
@@thegeek4576 yeah pretty sad that ended up happening.
I loved Black Ops IIII's customization options and ability to add AI teammates, but I do feel it was the beginning of the downfall of classic maps. I honestly enjoyed Infinite Warfare Zombies and even Exo Zombies more and that pains me to say đ
All the "bad" maps are only hampered by like one or two issued each imo. The zombies game loop was just too solid at a certain point, that anytime they tried to shake it up a bit, it would backfire. I personally love TranZit even though those things that jump on your face make my prostate swell like a gahtdamn balloon.
I cannot get over how
1. Nostalgic this is
2. How beautiful the graphics are on PC
My favorite Ascension 4 person strat was camp at Flopper, 2 people watch the 2 windows and 2 people are on Flopping duty, just keep floppin and exploding the zombies from the staircase. Was more fun than training at times.
buried, moon, and origins are the maps I have the best memories of. probably spent thousands of hours on those three maps alone
I honestly miss when zombies was just pure survival like on Kino and not some weird fantasy story thing, I dunno zombies just feels odd to me now.
Funny you say that cause that map was when the story shit just started ramping up
They ruined zombies with the stupid easter eggs
And they canât figure out that thatâs what made us fall in love with zombies to begin with. If it went back to that Iâm sure a lot of the og zombie players would come back. I used to grind hours on hours on those old maps.
I totally agree, but I think us more old school fans are a minority nowadays. I think the main shift was that the maps since bo2 have focused more on the story and objective style gameplay, whereas the pre-bo2 ones focused more on the maps themselves and the survival style gameplay. Before Origins the main gameplay loop was upgrading your stuff and staying alive, whereas after Origins it was focused on completing objectives and progressing through the story. What used to be easter eggs became the main point and I think that's the shift that I personally disliked.
plus yeah all the weird fantasy stuff totally turns me off too, 90% of the appeal was the creepy unsettling post-war vibe of the early maps which is completely gone in the new maps where you're time travelling and drinking dark matter from golden goblets and fighting Greek gods like it's a fucking god of war game and you're playing as Kratos lmao
@@josh.y they should remake a ton of the maps we like in cold war/vanguard (i guess)
like town or kino would go so fucking hard on a game like cold war but they never will do something like that, theyre gonna keep making new maps one always worse than the last
Man Tranzit was some of the most fun I ever had in zombies
Gets wayyy too much hate than it should. After Kino itâs probably my 2nd most played map.
Tranzit with the homies was Hella fun
It was a fun map to messs around with friends
I completely forgot that the main gimmick of zombies was just doing everything you could to keep zombies from getting through the barriers
I feel like Origins marked the point where zombies stopped really being about zombies and more about tedious side questing to get the "easter eggs". And the reason I think that is because while Easter eggs had been around since ascension there was really no necessity to them if you wanted to play normally, they could be ignored just fine. But with maps like Origins the staff wonder weapons are a pretty integral part of the easter egg and attempting to make them without intent to complete said challenge will just cause you to keep hearing Samantha verbally berate you for not doing anything which is annoying. It also marks the first time the M 1911 wasn't the starter pistol so I guess that's metaphorically what happened, they ditched what had previously been done in favor of something different, but not entirely better. While I'd say Origins is still a good map by the time BO3 zombies and gobble gum I would consider any challenge thrown out because from what I understand those things are basically cheat codes. Now I must admit I've never played any zombies past BO2 but I do know there's a gobble gum that gives you all perks for free, and I believe you could choose your starting loadout but I'm not sure on that one. Point is it stopped being about killing zombies and more about making the story side quests the main quest and I guess the gameplay never really got caught up with it, I really stopped paying attention to any of it since BO3 so I wouldn't know anything past that point really
6:21 the Instakill bug was also in bo1 isnât even the main bug that makes the shino Numa Record the highest out of all the maps, itâs 24 zombies a round glitch that makes it so thereâs only 24 zombies every round (1 horde) only on solo in the first 3 maps
I don't necessarily think its a glitch
There are no glitches involved, in SnN high rounds. Like, at all. Zero.
@@emisorano the insta kill rounds are glitches
Zombies in solo were capped at 24 per round for the first 3 maps in World at War. They changed it in Der Riese in response to some of the obscenely high rounds people were achieving.
@@bruhddyholly no itâs programmed that way to not override the integer limit
Damn this was nostalgic. I never really got into the new black ops, got busy with college and stuff.. but you described all the old ones perfectly. It's like we all collectively had the same thoughts about these maps đ

The scary setting, and the scavenger sniper was an all round amazing wonder weapon⊠that map has a special place in my heart⊠I still turn my ps3 on just to play it sometimesâ€ïžđ
I really appreciate this video. Nobody really talks about the design philosophy of zombie maps. It's very useful to people making custom content (like myself) to have a good understanding of the philosophy and theory behind some of the greatest (and worst) zombies maps across the Call of Duty franchise. Analysis videos that really break that stuff down are critically helpful to people like myself.
Thanks for your work.
You should've included the non-Treyarch maps in this as they are still CoD Zombies and I'd say are worth talking about. None of them are perfect but they do some interesting things that I'm surprised Treyarch hasn't adopted themselves.
I was just thinking this
True, I did play a lot of Advanced Warfare zombies and enjoyed it for instance but when most anyone thinks of COD zombies, they think of a Treyarch sequel to that which started with Nacht. The off brand zombies felt like just that, off brand and one time deals that were fun for a moment but didnât give that classic OG feel
True man, I hopped off the zombies bandwagon after Shadows of evil, haven't really played many video game since then. Now it sounds like he's leaving a ton out from each map & not showing any of the weapons/ features as he mentions them, but sounds like he Left out entire maps lmao
Spaceland and Rave in the redwoods are awesome maps, and i would say they are as good as the treyarch maps
Zombies in space land is seriously slept on
World at War is still absolutely my favorite age of zombies. Something about itâs simplicity gives it a charm that I just love (and Der Rise is still my highest SOLO round at over 110.) Black Ops had some great maps too but it hasnât aged as well for me and BO2 was varied. Never played the future titles myself bc I ended up leaving the COD train after AW, but itâs interesting to see how stuff has evolved.
Shadows of Evil and mob of the dead are some experiences I would recommend trying out

Really cool and interesting analysis, thanks man! I definitely hope zombies takes on the more "arcade" feel that u described in revelations. It sucks how the new zombies looks like multiplayer. They also need to ditch objectives and stick w round based, way less boring
To be honest, Die Rise was fun when it first came out, and Tranzit was a great map to me. The BO2 ranking system made it my favorite zombies.
I remember being so excited for the next iteration of Zombies.. and along came Kino Der Totem which became my favorite Zombies map of all time. The memories man
One interesting fact and one funny fact about MoTD:
It was the map that turned Easter Eggs into Main Quests.
If anyone wanted to do a "Jason Blundell in a Nutshell" they just need to describe MoTD because that's basically how BO3 and BO4 Zombies worked.
kino, five, and ascension were the ones i grew up with and played endlessly with my brother. such fond memories with those maps
Its funny because Five has always been my favorite map nothing beats slaying hordes of zombies while having McNamara jfk castro and nixon yelling iconic lines all around you. And i loved the pentagon thieve so much because it was so fun yelling at your friends in panic to figure out a battle plan for him and who can see him and who is on the far side. FIVE really was just such a solid map.
You forgot to mention, in terms of vurrukt being insanely hard, zombies on ONLY vurrukt would "windmill arm" you, hitting you twice instead of once.
You were at a serious risk of getting essentially 1 shot by any zombie until you got jug
Verrukt?
zombies are a oneshot if they hit you twice
is this true??? really neat little fun fact there I honestly never realized this and esp never realized it if its only specific to one map.
@@ArturoPladeado you're contradicting yourself rn lol

Iâve never found exploration of maps so fun in any game as in zombies because you are so invested in it. The areas especially in BO2 and BO3 look great and and so freakin cool and creative. The exploration is so important to your survival + all the buildable and easter eggs making you really try pay attention to everything to see any hints on how to solve something or discovering something new you can solve. And âooo, what happens when that finishes? What a mystery! Ahhh I died, oh well grab a drink, piss and start up a new round!â

I love that I feel like I was interested in the game only at the peak of the game and the success from BOZ has just been impossible to replicate. My roommates got really comfortable on Shi No Numa and I started playing as well when Der Riese was released. We weren't living together when Tranzit was released.

Tranzit is my favorite map easily. You needed the galvaknuckles to travel anywhere without the denizens attacking you.
Or carry a deployable buildable while running, letting you knife them to death before they can grab you.

There was a small group of kids in my grade that played zombies back in 2008, from A graders to the trouble makers. We all played together on weeknights despite being the most unlikely friends in school. Some of them were so bad but we all got along and had fun. Good times.
I look back on zombies and itâs so nostalgic because I literally grew up with the game. BO1 I think has to be my overall favorite vibe.
Verruckt was probably my favorite to play with friends because we knew a glitch that would keep us safe in the 2nd floor hallway on the left. Long time zombies players will know exactly the glitch i'm talking about. Another map with a good glitch is Kino der Toten. There's a spot on the stage stairs by the teleporter that the dogs will ignore if you're standing there, makes dog rounds easy.
Jup i know what you mean. Still play on the xbox?
Do you remember the Nacht der Untoten glitch when you could jump on the broken concrete support beam on the first level? I remember when it got patched, sad days.

Cod zombies really means a lot to me, spending hours playing with friends and people Ive never met.
Just like Kavinsky said in "Nightcall" Its hard to explain
This video brought back so many memories. I started with WaW zombies but mostly played BO1 and BO2 zombies. Town and mob of the dead are probably the maps I remember playing the most. The feeling of having a clear mind, having your wit and sense of humor all day everyday is 1 million times better than getting high for 2 hours just to help you feel okay with being bored. Just my experience, it affects everyone different
@@seansmythe7543 Yeah, Iâm 24 currently and started smoking like this since I was about 19. Been on and off since in terms of consistent smoking and being completely clean. Mostly noticed that when itâs in my system, memory function can be frustrating and same with energy. Other than that, usually said side effects have mostly disappeared once Iâve been clean a while and I can definitely notice the clarity disparity when Iâm clean. Not sure what sort of permanent side effects you may have noticed with yourself, but time will only tell for me. Itâs the only vice Iâve really touched thankfully.
Hands-down one of the most detailed and remarkably accurate breakdowns I have ever watched. I have so much respect for the amount of effort you put into this video, and thank you for the nostalgia trip.
He actually missed a decent amount of stuff. But not a bad video for sure
Couldn't have said it better myself
Nobody talks about the infinite warfare zombies. I know they were not treyark, but I think that is what makes them even more special.
They innovate in quite a few things and are really enjoyable to play. It's true the story is not very good, but the easter eggs are fun.
I think they pulled off some amazing maps for their first (and only) zombies game. I whish they did another one
Me and my older brother would play WaW zombies, while blasting System of a Down. We'd be sitting a room away from eachother on our Halo Reach edition 360's, while trying different strats (and possibly glitches) on the original four maps. Best CoD memories right there. â„
28:36 that moment when the skull of nan sapwe is so powerful that it alters your speech
I LOVE How you didnât stop playing the der eisendrache video while talking about new maps because it was literally THE BEST map and i canât stop watching it
I even though not a player of the COD zombies, i honestly like the olders ones. Their vibe are just so different that it makes it lovely.
Chrrism, you're awesome! You are literally the only zombies yter I watch anymore
I have had some of the most fun Iâve ever had playing zombies on Tranzit. You have to play with friends for sure, but it is so much fun
Same. Been playing zombies since waw but tranzit with friends was so fun.
Black Ops 1 hosted most of my experience with zombies, though I was there from the start of World at War. I remember my very first time playing Nacht in early 2009. I was 11 years old and the game genuinely terrified me so much that I didn't play it solo for months.
One thing I want to mention about Call of the Dead is the Scavenger. While not the most powerful weapon, this was my absolute favourite in the franchise.
Shooting a horde of zombies with a bolt that vaporises them after a couple of seconds and literally turns them in to red mist? Plus the noise when pack-a-punched is so so good.
I haven't played much zombies in years. It's probably been 10 years since I played call of the dead, but I'll always love the Scavenger and it's upgrade.
i love the effort you put into the contentđđ
Bro transit was an amazing map it just came to early it was and is one of my favorite zombies maps. It was ambitious and it tested the limits of zombies and sadly people canât realize the beauty in it.
Itâs trash and overrated just like the game itself lol
@@hayman75 BO2 was "overrated?"
@@hayman75 what you smoking??
Tranzit is definitely a F tier map
@@SniperWolfKing77 Tranzit sucks. Bo2 was on the fence, i'd put it under bo1 and bo3 in terms of zombies. Tranzit, Die Rise. 2 of the worst maps ever, but Origins and MOTD, 2 of the best, and buried was great too.
10:00 small error. The crawlers in kino Was the second non-zombie creature. Not the pentagon thief.
Technically the crawlers are the third, as hellhounds are the second
They released at the same time, so they really would be tied for second, however there is also a third candidate, the gorilla from dead ops arcade that also launched with them
Iâm a huge Kino fan, still the best map for solo play that wasnât overly hard. I really enjoyed the remaster which gave more perks to use (that was the only drawback to Kino, the 5 perks)
I started by playing Zombies on World at War. Seeing those four original maps brings me such amazing nostalgia from late 2008 and Summer 2009, just before Modern Warfare 2 was released
As a kid I hated zombie movies they gore, the eating the very sounds make me uneasy so much so that when I beat world of war cod I was so happy then dread. That cutscene, that fucking laughter of that scary voice. It was the perfect mood for not only the ending which took me until midnight also made the zombie map fucking terrifying to play to the point where I think I quit the map my first time cuz I was so afraid of the zombies lol
I used to be very scared of zombies when i was younger unless it was cartoonish like PvZ
I was actually really scared of zombies because of wow zombies... I didn't really get over it until around middle school when I decided to play it with a friend instead of by myself. It ended up helping out with me making friends and introduced me to the idea of playing with other people. I feel that every child needs one of those things that they are scared of in order to help them grow as they learn to overcome it.
I still kinda have that, I can't play Call of Duty Zombies or anything like that on my own. If I have someone playing with me, or even just talking to them whilst playing, I'm fine, but on my own, I just cannot play games like that, it just makes me freak out and close the game shortly after starting to play.
Chrrism is the new best zombies content creator
Well since Tim is sadly going away, I hope Chrrism can fill that void for zombies content
@@YeahToastGOD who?
@@WindedWalruss93 Tim Hansen. He was my favorite zombies creator for yeaaars.
@@YeahToastGOD oh. I can't believe I've never seen that guy.
@@WindedWalruss93 I feel the same way except with YotiSlaya
This has helped me fall asleep before. Something about listening to someone talk about something they care about that I know nothing about is nice for me
Der Eisendrache is by far my favorite map. Spent countless hours in high school upgrading all the bows and trying to reach round 100. And I may be alone here but I actually didn't mind tranzit at the time
Watching this to remind myself of when I was younger and would just sit down to watch my dad play these maps. I remember my mom always getting mad because my dad would play late at night and I wouldnât get much sleep,,, I miss it.
Die rise is my favorite map. The vertical movement is unique, and the chain effect of the sliquifier makes it godly. I never find myself waiting around for elevators on die rise, where you can go is often only limited by your creativity and risk with the trample steam. I don't think it's necessarily difficult with parkour. It proves you don't need the tedium origins brought into zombies to provide unique challenges to the classic zombies formula.
honestly i loved die rise. map flowed really well as a loop, the elevators are just kinda shortcuts that you can use but are risky to use. the wonder weapon is my fav of all time, you could go 2 ways out of the spawn room and the trample steam let you traverse part of the map backwards, i love the high stakes jumps where you have to jump from building to building or you fall to your death.
I dont know about the easter egg as i never completed the entire thing because me and my friends were too bad at the game to finish it so i cant comment on it.
I love the contents this guy produce honestly one of the best zombies CZcamsrs to this date
Keep it up mateđ„đ€đœđ€đœ
Black ops 1 zombies will always be the pinnacle to me, ascension was such a great map, call of the dead is an iconic memory to me, especially with avenged sevenfold for the song, and moon was one of my all time favorite zombies maps ever
The first map is still my favorite lol I was never really into trying to figure out puzzles in needed the internet for but it was still fun to finally do and I loved ascension and a lot
Nacht is amazing map and playing it with friends changes how you view it. We used to choose guns that reloaded quick and one guy would have an lmg
Everyone unfortunately forgets that alongside transit, they have individual maps to play. Transit wasnât my favorite map but town survival was sooooo much fun! My friends and I could play that gamemode for hours! I love that they introduced the concept of more objective based zombies with transit and then just classic survival
Damn bro, this is gonna be epic.
The nostalgia this video bring is crazy manâŠ.
I havenât played zombies in so long this brought back so many memories
amazing breakdown bro!
15:47 dude yesss lmao i loved shangri la, my favorite by far. The scenery, the wonder weapon, the easter egg. Just a great map
Shino had the fast rounds glitch not instakill rounds but that helped too and on town there are 6 perks not 4 also electric cherry was a good perk too, not just vulture
As on OG zombies fanatic now in my 30s I really appreciate this video when I have memories of playing !
In my opinion, I LOVED blood of the dead. Iâve done that Easter egg around 20 times after the game had been out for around 4 months. It was amazing and I would go into lobbies with randoms and carry them all. The only step I really had trouble with was the challenge when you had to take the electric man across the catwalk without him taking damage.
Origins is the perfect middle ground of basic survival map and Easter egg being forced down your throat
Der Riese, I remember me and a friend reached round 70 or so. We were camping the cat walk with each an upgraded DG-2 and MG42 plus a metric ton of bouncing betty, each taking turn emptying our guns while the other checked the spawner behind us. I remember feeling like zombies had hit the peak health they'd had, also dogs were spawning outside there wave with regular zombies at that point.
We legit got bored lol and just stopped. Good times.
I like how you followed the maps in order but it wasnât so much as treyarch trying new wild things as it was them sticking to the backstory of zombies. Whether people realize it or not, itâs a huge backstory. The maps arenât just random locations or online/story mode maps, including nuke town, theyâre important locations in the zombies timeline. I like how you mentioned that with each map.
Tranzit and die rise are challenging and very unique maps. The elevator mechanics and the whos who perk are slept on. Both maps are fun with a good group. This dude just mad because theyre hard. I've played almost every treyarch zombies map and those 2 definitely fit somewhere in top 10.
