      I knowww 😩 I had to do what was best for her hair health. I’m almost done with her new set and I went with braidlocs instead and they are larger parting.

    I just stumbled upon and binge watched allllllll of her loc videos! Let me say (Mommy to mommy) that you did an amazing job with her hair. I have 117 small locs, started and maintained by me, but I loveeeeeee microlocs! I'm so happy she isnt done with her journey. Good luck and best wishes!

    Congratulations on your pregnancy! Oh wow, I had no idea you took them down. That second set took work! I think 180-250 is a good range to shoot for; still tiny, but not so tiny that it's exhausting to maintain. Maybe try interlocking this third time, or braids, to avoid the risk of holes altogether. More power to you.

    • @creolejazz
      @creolejazz  Před rokem

      Thanks so much 🥰 & yessss that 180-250 should be perfect ! I might do two strand twist again with instead of braiding the the roots interlock. So hopefully I can get that to workout in my favor

    hey queen, congratulations on your new bundle of joy!
    both sets were so beautiful and i’m sure the 3rd will be just as beautiful.
    i also have microlocs and i’ve learned that holes develop when you interlock through the same direction 2x.
    so when you are interlocking try to be consistent in the direction you last interlocked.
    wishing her another beautiful journey🤎

      Heyy honey ! Thanks so much ! & I actually watch your videos lol 🥰🥰 I love you channel !!
      From researched I learned that, before I started her last set. That’s why I stuck to the 2 point rotation. With her texture, her microlocs would unloop themselves in her sleep etcc girl it was alot to keep up with. So everytime I interlocked I was fixing holes and it became too time consuming. So we went with braids this time. Hopefully that helps a lot and they are much bigger.

    Aw y’all inspired me to put micro locs in my 4 year old hair she has about 250-300 locs but I’m thinking about taking them out to make my part smaller also I retwist her locs and not reties I’m scared of making them too tight but I always thought the loc tool was too big for microlocs I would just part and push the loc through the root without any tools

    • @creolejazz
      @creolejazz  Před rokem +1

      Awww I love that ! & I definitely agree do whatever you have to to keep your baby’s hair healthy even if that is making ur job less of a hassle. Not using a tool sounds like a smart idea to !!

    Hello, might you consider micro braiding her locs next set? I just finished my daughter's microbraids and left the last half inch two strand twisted. I think that the three strand braids would discourage the hole in the loc problem you experienced. Over time, the two strands can swell during washing and separate leaving a gap.
    Granted, it will take longer to braid her locs all the way down but you could transition her from two strand twists to braids a little at a time. I also have had braidlocs for over 15 years and know that they hold up well and continue to look neat. Just a thought. May God be with you throughout your pregnancy. I also have four children and had pre-eclampsia at different parts of my last two pregnancies. Try to get good nutrition. Look into Moringa and other super foods to meet your body's new demands. Make sure that your vitamin D, C, selenium and E levels are good and that you don't eat foods high in salt and take a good prenatal vitamin if you can. Blessings sis.

      I appreciate your comment soooo much !! You’ve definitely convinced me to go with micro braiding ! I didn’t even thinking about the two stranding swelling up, that definitely had to be the reason why a lot of holes came out of no where !
      & thank youuu I’ve been eating better and I looked into Spirulina but I will definitely get some Moringa as well !

    • @creolejazz
      @creolejazz  Před rokem +1

      Aww I’m sorry that happened. I haven’t found a video on how to fix knot’s properly. Usually they happen because of a tight retie. The first time I got a knot I was able to push it back through the loop to loosen it.
