      @DeputyNordburg Před 4 lety +5

      @Ray MASSIH No it didn't. The show had low ratings, very few people heard it. CBS didn't even broadcast it in many rural regions opting for other programing. Nobody thought it was real, at least there are no first hand accounts of anyone thinking it was real. There were people who said they were scared. People get scared in horror movies, it does not mean they thought it was real.
      The newspaper industry essentially made it up to show it's advertisers, and regulators, that radio management was irresponsible and not to be trusted with anything serious like their main product, the news.
      People were very accustomed to fictional programs on the radio at the time. It's nice to imagine some rube out in the sticks running out of his house in fear of aliens, but it's bullshit.

      _"No flags were ever there"_
      In the 1970's this was probably true. Since then it has become quite apparent that the various contractors that make up the MIC, have created some extremely sophisticated weapons and technologies. I mean we all watched clear evidence of 50th Space Wing (USAF) using a low earth orbit platform to dispose of millions of tons of gypsum, steel, office furniture, bathrooms, people and ... aeroplane wrecks. But officially this technology still _doesn't exist_ . Likewise the 1980's saw literally hundreds of reports of giant triangular anti gravity stealth vehicles in NATO countries, in the run up to the fall of the Berlin Wall and the beginning of Perestroyka. But apparently all the policemen and airforce pilots who saw them were all on crack or something, because officially this technology _doesn't exist_ .
      Ronald Reagan started shooting his mouth off about dangerous forces offworld and people wondered if he was also on crack, or maybe just drunk. Turns out he'd already pushed the SDI program through without any form of oversight and from the moment he realised what he had done, the rogue elephant in the room was (and still is) directly over everyone's head.
      Anyway, the point is that there are probably many flags on the lunar surface and they're exclusively military / private contractor related.
      That rubbish they showed to the public in 1969 starring Neil Actor and Buzz A-hole was a half cocked joke. The amount of technical inconsistencies in their b-movie script are in their hundreds. Look at the size of the batteries on the Lunar Rover and then look at the power requirement of a Satellite broadcast unit. One is a 21st century truck sized setup, the other is a silver pram with some giant watch batteries wrapped in a silver blanket......

    Telescopes can see bright objects very far away without resolving them. They show in a single pixel. The distance at which a telescope can resolve an object depends on the distance to the object AND its size. If the size-to-distance ratio is too small, the scope cannot see it, and that's the case for the Apollo objects seen from earth. They ARE seen quite nicely with telescopes in lunar orbit on LRO, which gives 1/2 m resolution or better.

      +Shadow Suave :1,400 Ly is a very long distance and even planets cannot be seen as discs at this distance, even with the Hubble. The Hubble directly imaged a planet around Fomalhaut b which is just 25 ly distant and all it saw was a couple of pixels. What Kepler is detecting is the dimming of starlight using a photometer, not an optical telescope. It sees transiting planets as starlight dimming, not entire planetary discs. The Lunar Reconnaissance Orbiter (LRO) image some of the artifacts on the moon from 15 miles up. The flags stand vertically so they'd be very difficult to see since you'd be looking straight down on them. If Kepler 452b were where the moon is, telescopes would see it in great detail but not enough resolution to see flag sized objects. Instead of calling BS on something your demonstrating you may not understand, why not search the web on telescopes and their capabilities and limitations?

      @@texmex9721 my mistake I should have clarified myself I absolutely believe we have gone to space but I just don't believe in the footage that they show us is actual space missions footage at the time we were in an arms race and we were trying to push American exceptionalism to the fullest and American I want to make sure that we left the statement of American superiority over the Russian our government was not going to run the risk and lose the space race when America was just taking their defeat from a 3rd world country Vietnam and let's not forget that the space missions were intended to bring American morale back up and to try to unite everyone something positive for the decade that was very covered with blood of war

    • @texmex9721
      @texmex9721 Před 5 lety

      @@brandonjimenez902 I do think the politics of the time were a huge driving factor. But I do think the missions were real and the video, audio, movie and still camera film is legitimate. I also think that one (of several) primary purposes of the Space program was development of space based military capability. Which is not to say each NASA employee felt he was developing weapons. I mean the huge advances in ICBM technology that paralleled Mercury, Gemini, Apollo, were not coincidental.
      In any case what do you think was not possible, the transmission of live video/audio?

      optical supersaturation. the cross hatches were etched on the glass filter. Sometimes there's enough light in regions of a shot to overbleed one or two, but not others and the developer doesn't resolve that fine line. Chemistry.
      Your eye will do it. Sometimes it sees a scratch on your glasses or windshield, and sometimes the retina won't pick it up. Chemistry.

The t.v. camera was mounted on the rovers from Apollo 15 -17 and could pan both horizontally and vertically. There is plenty of panning throughout those excursions. The vertical tilt on Apollo 15's ended up breaking at some point though.
